I thought I'd just make a thread here and we can all tell our own little stories about the 4 day trip. I'm pretty sure each of us will remember something that another one HOPED was buried and forgotten!
I just want to say, that this trip was absolutely fantastic and that Jolie Rouge, Creole Queen and Ravenlost are the absolute BEST! I felt as if I'd known them all my entire life. And we had a FARKING BLAST! From the first hug to the last!
I love you guys!
((((( )))))
Thanks for a wonderful time and a lasting memory. WHAT I can remember, that is!

Thought I'd add the Reader's Digest version of the trip:
I got to Ravenlost's house about 9:00 Friday night. At 1:00 we decided we better GET TIRED and get to bed so we could get up at 6am! Her hubby slept on the sofa and we bunked in her room.
Up bright & early Saturday morning, 4 1/2 hour drive to Baton Rouge. Checked into our motel & the *tribe* arrived. Jolie, husband, 3 kids, Creole Queen, husband, 2 kids. 5 kids ages 7 to one year old!

Visited a short time, KICKED the husbands & kids out and the four of us drove the hour's drive to New Orleans.
We walked to Cafe DuMonde and had our fill of beignets and iced cafe au lait. Then since Ravenlost had already rubbed two blisters on her foot, we searched for a pair of socks that weren't $10 (found them at Walgreen's) Wandered around, hit the French Market, the farmer's market, the flea market. Browsed through everything, played around and just had a good time. By the time we got done, the grocery store on Decatur where we wanted to get muffalattas was closed.
Walked around Jackson Square (although a lot of the artists, musicians and scammmers had already packed up) Hit a lot of shops, bought some trinkets and souvenirs
(ASK JOLIE ROUGE ABOUT THE TOY SHE BOUGHT IN THE ADULT STORE) Strolled down Bourbon Street and the Lost Bayou Boys were playing the *early* show at the Old Opera House. I heard this band 2 years ago and fell in love with these guys and their music. (the *ST.LOUIS GANG* from 2 years ago left a lasting impression on the joint!) Stayed until they finished, wandered some more. We ended up eating at Krystal Burger!! We're in the French Quarter and eating BAD burgers! Got back to the hotel about 2am.
Sunday morning we met Jolie & her family and they took Raven & I on a tour of Baton Rouge. We toured a plantation, visited the Old Capital and had a great time with them and the kids. (both Jolie & Creole have great families and kids!) Mark & Lynne took us to their *favorite* restaurant...Chinese.

Yup, night 2 down there and still no cajun cooking! After we ate, it was back down to New Orleans, drove through the Garden District and then right to the French Quarter where we closed down the Opera House listening to the Lost Bayou Boys again! Hit the hotel that night about 2:30 in the morning.
Monday the hubbies had to work so we ran around with Jolie, Creole and their kids. Hehe, taught Michael to sing "Who Let the Dogs Out!" When I sang 'who let the dogs out?' Michael would go "WHO WHO!" Went to a fruit market and then to the fish market and bought lunch and went back to Jolie's. MMMMMMMMM. FINALLY! Cajun food. Red beans & rice, boudin balls (cajun & shrimp & crab) and etoufee. Just messed around and late that night Jolie cooked dinner for us. More or less just chilled there that evening playing with the kidlets and talking.
Tuesday morning we checked out of the hotel about 10am. Drove over to Jolie's and visited with her, Creole Queen and the 2 little ones. Jolie has Matthew 7, Meg 5, and Michael 22 months. Creole has Sarah 5 and Alex 1, but the older 3 were on a field trip. When I said *hi* to Michael, he went "who who!" Messed around, stalled leaving, took some silly pictures and finally said our goodbyes and left at noon.
Then Ravenlost took me on a 1 hour "SHORTCUT" to the interstate.

When we got to her house, Don (hubby) & Paula took me out to see their property and we spent an hour & half or so walking around. Dinner was..........Mexican!

I had planned on staying the night but was so hyped up that about 10:30 I decided to head home. Rolled in my driveway about 3am.
Waaaaaaaaaaah. It's over. Months and months of anticipation and it's over. BUT...look out next year because newwiccan and Gia30 WILL be on this trip!
You all will have to *PUMP* the other girls for the juicy stories. We took a blood vow of secrecy!
