Mommy is VERY Brave!
At least that is what my DS Joshua (3yrs) says.....Mom isn't so sure about that. He came flying in the house yelling about a monster outside. Given that he tends to be a little dramatic, I didn't panic (not yet anyways) I get up to go look outside and OMG there is a HUGE, GIGANTIC, HORRIBLE, MONSTER MOTH!!!! I swear Mothra has nothing on this particular bug! A little history: A few might remember the phobia thread not to long ago.....one of mine are BUGS THAT FLY.....Well, my DS wanted to go back outside to play, and he wasn't going out with Mothra out there.....so Mom had to be REALLY brave, grab the broom, and go shoo Mothra away....I gingerly touched it by stretching and reaching as far as I possibly could with the brrom handle....and the thing started to fly...I kid you not (ok, maybe a small exageration...but not much) this thing sounded like a Huey Helicopter taking off....anyone unfamiliar w/this particular helicopter it is a duel blade military vehicle....and LOUD.....anyways.....both my DS and I shriek (like little girls I might add)as it flys toward us, and neither one of us were smart enough to leave the screen door open.....I swear...I always thought I would protect my son.....but I almost ran the little dude over trying to claw my way thru the screen......bad bad mommy!!!! I am still shaking....brave Mommy my tukus.....Although he thinks I am for even going after the Monster....little does he know.

LOL! I love little kids, especially little boys. They think Mommy is the best, bravest, mostest beautiful person inthe whole wide world.

Mothzilla?
Now that I've cleaned the coffee off my monitor I can tell you that Friday night, Mothzilla's GRANDDADDY was visiting my house. He was at least as big as my hummingbirds and that sucker divebombed my head when I was out on the patio for a smoke.
I HATE MOTHS. HATE THEM. I can do spiders - squish them in my bare hands, but ewwwwwwwwwwwwww, moths.

Does that mean that if you ever come up here you don't want to go to the butterfly/moth exhibit at the museum? It is a big room full of live butterflies and moths that you walk through and they land on you. My son hates that room! And my youngest tries to kill them (who cares that some of them are rare and endangered).
Just kidding! I don't like them either. They are freaky looking. We have some really big ones here.

The Butterfly House in STL rocks. But a pretty butterfly lightly landing on my hand is a little different than mothzilla divebombing my head like some sort of kamikaze! I love butterflies. I hate moths. Especially big ones with fangs and talons.

Throws some water on Widget! I promise if you ever come up here we will keep you away from the whole bug wing of the museum.
Jaybird-- fangs and talons, huh? Must be a STL thing.
Wasn't that movie The Mothman Prophecies about a big moth or something?
