I fried chicken. Then took whole potatoes and cut them up into nice pieces with the skin on. Took oil and almost filled my cast iron skillet with it( yes it does have a use besides the husbands head). Took two nice big spoonfulls of chopped up garlic and fried them up until nice and light brown(YUMMY). Made biscuits, asparagus, and homemade ice tea to go with it. Hubby called from work and was upset because he had to work tonight and had made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich to work with him. Apperantly didn't taste as good as what the boys and I ate. Don't know why?!!

P.S. For desert we had those little spongecake things from the grocery store. Put ice cream and fresh strawberries with cool whip on top.

Well if I don't figure out this da#n pressure cooker we will be having pb&j or cereal. If the pressure cooker works we're having corned beef and cabbage.

Hrmph.... well I'm not speaking to mlathroum anymore... didn't even invite me over for dinner!
I don't know what we're having here... I do know that I have a crap load of dishes to wash here...and we're too broke to go out anyway. I guess Hubby is going to fix something with Chicken. I'm in a lazy mood tonight, haven't even fed the cat his soft food yet. LMAO! He's got "crunchies"- he'll survive.

We fired up the charcoal grill for the first grilling of the season. Did a ton of cube steaks, home grown sweet potatoes, Grands biscuits with Parmesean sprinkles on them, green beens, and scratch macaroni and cheese, deviled eggs and Claussen pickels.. Didn't even do dessert. Had our grandaughter and her boyfriend and our brother over. Everyone waddled away from the table

It WAS a perfect day. In the 70's here. Sunny, absolutely beautiful. And Sarah and I had dinner at a lovely sidewalk cafe in the Central West End near her apartment. Hummus and raw veggies and pita bread, split a Greek salad and a smoked mozerella, tomato and pesto on grilled focaccia bread. YUM! Topped off with VERY good coffee and cinnamon ice cream.
