Big Big Tired Mommy of 4
USPS delivered letter a little late!
A letter came in todays mail postmarked May 15, 1987. It had come unsealed. It was to a girl that used to live here. Any ideas on how to go about finding her? She had just graduated at the time the letter was wrote. The sender was in the services and was getting ready to go overseas.

Wow, Thats really something, that was mailed a long time ago. Maybe some of the neighbors know where she moved. Or someone at the post office. wouldn't she be surprised to get this now. Maybe she is married to the guy by now. Call the operator and look for her name or his. I think it would be great to find her. Good Luck

oh! gosh! dont know, you can look in your local area to see if she still lives in your area, or ask your landlord if they have a forwarding address other then that no ideas, you can check online directory ,just type her name in each state and see if you can find it that way!

I don't know where in ohio you live-but sometimes you can get court records for certain counties that will give the last known address of a person or the name of the lawyer they used-that might have the address. Here are some links to try-or you can e-mail me if you need some more help.

hmmmm wonder if the local newspaper would run a small story with her name in it. Got to admit it would make a great read about the post office. lol

Local newspaper is a good idea .. give them a call and see if they will run a story on .. maybe someone will read the story who knows the girl and let her know.
They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Distance and time may separate us but friendship and memories won't.

Yeah mistywolf and kelblend have good suggestions. You could also contact a TV station. I've seen stories about this before. It would be great if the letter made it to her. Please let us know what you find out!

Go check at the Property Dept. or where ever you pay your property taxes. They have lists of all the people that property has been owned by. That might be a little faster to at least get the family's name first. If the girl was just graduating when that was written, the property would be likely in her parents names. Good luck.
