You could try listing her at http://www.petfinder.org/ They have a section where you can post classified ads for pets needing homes. I refer people to them alot. Then you can list exactly what kind of home you want for her and what your requirments are. Good Luck! We have two all black kitties, too, and I know it must be really hard for you to give her up. Being that she is declawed make sure that you specify that she is to be an indoor cat only. Whe has no defense if she should be out against dogs. www.petfinder.org would be a good place to place her.

Instead of giving her to someone else perhaps someone would be kind enough to keep her for you during the remodeling process, maybe you have a friend who is thinking of getting a pet and might keep her for awhile to see if they want one and so they borrow her for awhile. I kept my daughter's cat while the rental they were renting got worked on, it worked out well and the cat was happy and also was happy to go home my little mutt poodle however was not happy at all to see the cat leave and tried to rescue him from the kitty carrier by chewing the door and after the cat left she found one of the cat toys and slept with it beside of her, apparently not all dogs hates cats. I hope you get to keep your cat. Good Luck!
