OK, I was playing one of the movie-actor chain games, and I had to name an actor from Sixteen Candles, so the first one that comes to mind is Michael Schoeffling (the cute jock, Jake). So, I list him, then I am wondering whatever happened to him....I mean he was such a hottie! And I loved him in Mermaids with Winona Ryder! So I look all over the internet for info, and I find out that he dropped out of the Hollywood scene after doing Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken. He now lives either in or near Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania with his wife and two children and makes a living as a furniture maker! A girl posted on the net that she was with her parents shopping around for furniture in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and there he was working in the back room! I am soooo jealous!!!! I had such a crush on him when I was a kid!
