Has anyone Been to the Precious Moments Chapel Lately?

I'm planning on a vacation to that area so all you people from there please tell me what are the must sees and the best place to stay. Any fall tours to go on for the beautiful colors? Going this month or next. thanks.

Carthage, MO. I bet you heard of their statues and figurines. You know, the cute little kids? They have a tourist shop there that sells everything Precious Moments but I want to stay on the island and explore the area.

OMG...I love Precious Moments but I didn't know they had their own tourist shop.....Missouri is too far away for me though

PRECIOUS MOMENTS

One of my favorite hobbies is collecting Enesco Precious Moments. I started my collection eight years ago and I have built up a considerable collection over the years, thanks to family and friends buying them for me on special occassions. I have also been a member of the Precious Moments Club for 3 years. The Precious Moments collection is made up of figurines that copy scenes so familiar in our lives that we want to laugh, cry, sigh with contentment, or grin with pleasure at each one of them. They seem to touch everyone with their heartfelt messages.

Precious Moments express love, friendship, hope, and encouragement. They help us celebrate the best and happiest of times and they also help us through are darkest times with their messages of love and hope. They help many who have faced illness, injury or a loss of a loved one. There are two very special figurines in my collection. "Going Home" and "No Tears Past the Gate" that have given me courage and strength to deal with the loss of my cousin, Tommy Long Jr. that was killed in an automobile accident on May 20, 1996. Tommy is sadly missed by his family and friends.

In November of 1998 I went on vacation to see the Precious Moment Chapel . It was a very beautiful place to see and I'm ready to go visit the Chapel again!! I have visited the Precious Moments Car-A-Van twice. I seen it in June of 1998 and in July of 1999. It was a very exciting trip for me.

I was just there in August

Im not sure the best place to stay because we were just passing through. I would try to spend at least 1 whole day though. I burned up all my time shopping in the gift shop

We didnt get to do hardly anything so we are planning a trip again next summer. I just started my collection of Precious Moments stuff and I cant wait to get more lol. Have a great time

they have web sites for collectors and a community where you can talk to other people about lots of things, even a secret pals section. It's getting very big.

i was in that area a few years back. the cottage looked SOOO cute. unfortunately i didnt get to go in. lol but one of these days ill go back and actually go in.lol

We spent a day there in '99. It was great. I HIGHLY recommend taking LOTS of $$. I spent $400 in the gift shop

They have some exclusives that you can't get anywhere else.
