Hmmm. Jayd, I don't think old W-2's are kept anywhere online. IF you did your taxes on line (for the year you need the W-2's) possibly that website would still have a copy of your return. If you had H&R Block or some other place do your taxes for you, you could call them and ask to send you copies. Otherwise, the only thing I can think of is to contact the employer(s) and ask them if they have that year's W-2's on file still. I'll make a quick phone call to my tax man and ask him. I'll post back if I get any info.

Jayd, I phoned my accountant and he said there's no central place you can retrive your W-2's, that you would have to contact the employer directly. Good luck.

There was a man who computed his taxes for 2001 and discovered that he owed $3407. He packaged up his payment and included this letter:

    Dear IRS:

Enclosed is my 2001 Tax Return & payment. Please take note of the attached article from the USA Today newspaper.

In the article, you will see that the Pentagon is paying $171.50 for hammers and NASA has paid $600.00 for a toilet seat.

Please find enclosed four toilet seats (value $2400) and six hammers (value $1029).

This brings my total payment to $3429.00. Please note the overpayment of $22.00 and apply it to the "Presidential Election Fund," as noted on my return. Might I suggest you send the above mentioned fund a "1.5 inch screw." (See attached article...HUD paid $22.00 for a 1.5 inch Phillips Head Screw.)

It has been a pleasure to pay my tax bill this year, and I look forward to paying it again next year.

    Sincerely,

    A SATISFIED TAX PAYER
