OK, I this stupid Carpet steam cleaner, and I can't figure out how to use the d@mn thing!!! It is my mothers and she cant find the book that came with it!! It is a Hoover Steamvac Silver. There are two tanks, the top one is where you put the water and the cleaner and the bottom is the dirty water one. I filled it with water nd cleaner but when I turn it on nothing happens except the brushes move???? HELP, I need to do this right now because I have neither of my kids for the first time in ALONG time tonight and I need to get this done NOW!!!

NEVERMIND!! My first time using one and I didn't know there was a button on the handle, lmao!!! SHHH, don't tell anyone, I feel dumb enough already!

newfieslady- I called my mom and she had finally found the book, and she said, you did find the button on the handle right? I said ummm, what button, lol. Feel like a total moron now, but half my living room is now done! After I figured out how to turn it on and work it the rest was a breeze

My hubby bought a new vacuum cleaner this summer. I did the same thing. Couldn't figure out how to turn it on!
