The militants targeted the school of 1,000 children in Peshawar, Pakistan, where they began entering the classrooms and picking off their victims one by one. Some of the children were forced to watch as the Islamists, who were wearing police uniforms and suicide vests, set a teacher on fire after dousing her with gasoline.

Following the bloody massacre, distraught parents frantically searched for their sons and daughters at a hospital near the school, where the floors where heavily stained in blood.

The Taliban immediately claimed responsibility for the brutal attack with a spokesperson giving a reason as to why they targeted the children.

“We selected the army’s school for the attack because the government is targeting our families and females,” said Taliban spokesman Muhammad Umar Khorasani. “We want them to feel the pain.”

Obama came out with his official statement on Tuesday following the massacre, where, staying true to form, he whitewashed any mention of Islam or the Taliban, completely failing to mention those responsible for the mass murder by name. Obama Condemns Terrorist Massacre Of Hundreds Of Children and Teachers In Pakistan

After an eight hour siege during which terrorists attacked an Army Public School in Pakistan massacring children and teachers, reportedly killing 135 mostly children and injuring 114, President Obama strongly condemned their depravity and reiterated the commitment of the United States government in supporting the government of Pakistan in its fight against terrorism.

“The United States condemns in the strongest possible terms today’s horrific attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar, Pakistan. Our hearts and prayers go out to the victims, their families, and loved ones,” the President said in a statement. “By targeting students and teachers in this heinous attack, terrorists have once again shown their depravity.”

Reddif reports the terrorists who stormed the school were “heavily-armed Taliban suicide bombers”.

Secretary of State John Kerry speaking in London war reported by the Guardian to have said, “(W)herever you live, wherever you are, those are our children and this is the world’s loss,” and called the attacks “absolutely gut wrenching.”

Nine days later, bodies still litter bushes from Boko Haram's 'deadliest' massacre

Kano, Nigeria (CNN)—The attackers sped into a Nigerian town with grenade launchers -- their gunfire and explosions shattering the early morning calm. As terrified residents scattered into bushes in Baga town and surrounding villages, the gunmen unloaded motorcycles from their trucks and followed in hot pursuit.

Residents hid under scant brush. Bullets pierced them.

Some sought refuge in their homes. They were burned alive.

Many who tried to cross into neighboring Chad drowned while trying to swim through Lake Chad.

By the time the weapons went quiet, local officials reported death tolls ranging from hundreds to as many as 2,000 people.

Bodies everywhere

That was January 3, nine days ago.

On Monday, bodies still littered the bushes in the area.

"It is still not safe to go and pick them up for burial," said Musa Bukar, the chairman of the local government where Baga is located.

No emergency crews will enter the villages where militants are still running amok, local authorities said. "Baga is not accessible because it is still occupied by Boko Haram," said Sen. Maina Ma'aji Lawan of northern Borno state.

The strategic Nigerian town borders Chad, giving the extremists better access to both countries.

'Deadliest' massacre

Boko Haram has terrorized northern Nigeria regularly since 2009, attacking police, schools, churches and civilians, and bombing government buildings. The Islamist group has said its aim is to impose a stricter form of Sharia law across Nigeria, which is split between a majority Muslim north and a mostly Christian south.

The group's brutal tactics have shocked and stunned the world. It has kidnapped students, including more than 200 schoolgirls who were abducted in April -- and remain missing.

On Saturday, explosives strapped to a girl detonated at a crowded marketplace in Nigeria, killing at least 20 people. Although no one has claimed responsibility, Boko Haram militants are the main suspects.

But the scale of the early January attack -- the death of hundreds, possibly thousands -- defies belief.

The attacks started at dawn on January 3 and continued throughout the weekend, according to residents.

Amnesty International called the massacre Boko Haram's "deadliest act."

"If reports that the town was largely razed to the ground and that hundreds or even as many as 2,000 civilians were killed are true, this marks a disturbing and bloody escalation of Boko Haram's ongoing onslaught," said Daniel Eyre, Nigeria researcher for Amnesty International.

The Nigerian military said the description of the attack as "the deadliest" was "quite valid."

"The attack on the town by the bloodhounds and their activities since January 3 should convince well meaning people all over the world that Boko Haram is the evil all must collaborate to end," it said.

Stranded on an island

The misery is far from over.

Those who survived the attack and tried to swim to Chad are now stranded on Kangala Island on Lake Chad. Chadian authorities are asking the United Nations to help relocate more than 1,000 of them.

Abubakar Gamandi, a native of Baga who was away during the attack, said those trapped there are dying. "‎I have been in touch with them on the phone," he said. "They told me ‎some of them are dying from lack of food, cold and malaria on the mosquito-infested island."

Of the 30,000 people displaced during the attacks, 20,000 camped in Maiduguri city. An additional 10,000 were being ferried from Monguno town, which is about 60 kilometers (36 miles) from Baga.

Troops in pursuit

Mike Omeri, a national security spokesman, said Nigerian troops are pursuing the militants.‎

"Security forces have responded rapidly and have deployed significant military assets and conducted airstrikes against militant targets," Omeri said. "Troops are engaged in operations to reclaim the area from the terrorists."

But Gamandi, the Baga native, said it's not true.

"From information we are receiving from residents nearby, not a single Nigerian soldier has shown up in Baga since it was seized by Boko Haram," he said. "It is all propaganda."

Critics have accused President Goodluck Jonathan's government of not doing enough to address the insurgency, which mostly affects opposition strongholds.

Nigeria is holding presidential elections next month. Last week, Jonathan launched his re-election bid in a raucous rally in Lagos.

He did not say a word about the massacres.

ISIS' Japanese hostage video raises new questions about 'Jihadi John'

(CNN)—His voice, his posture and his threats are menacingly familiar.

The black-clad ISIS militant shown in a video demanding a $200 million ransom to spare the lives of two Japanese citizens looks and sounds similar to the man who has appeared in at least five previous hostage videos. http://www.cnn.com/2015/01/20/middle...ges/index.html

The knife-wielding masked man with a London accent, nicknamed "Jihadi John," has issued threats and overseen the beheadings of American and British captives. http://www.cnn.com/videos/world/2014...ihadi-john.cnn "You now have 72 hours to pressure your government in making a wise decision, by paying the $200 million to save the lives of your citizens," the man in the video that appeared Tuesday says in comments addressed to Japanese citizens. "Otherwise, this knife will become your nightmare."

The amount of money is the same as that recently pledged by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in humanitarian aid to Middle East countries that are affected by ISIS' bloody campaign in Iraq and Syria.

Japan believes the deadline arrives Friday at 12:50 a.m. ET. And Chief Cabinet Minister Yoshihide Suga said Wednesday the country will do its best to communicate with ISIS through a third-party nation.

But mystery and confusion still surround the identity of Jihadi John.

'It shows them resilient'

U.S. and British officials have said they believe they know who he is, but they haven't disclosed the information publicly.

That could be because Western intelligence agencies believe they have more to gain from keeping quiet, says Aki Peritz, a former CIA officer.

"They can put pressure on his family, put pressure on his friends," he told CNN. "Maybe they have a line to him. Maybe they know who his cousins are who are going to Syria who can identify him. However, if you publicly tell everybody who he is, his real identity, then maybe he'll go to ground and he'll disappear."

There had been reports that Jihadi John was injured in a bombing attack by the U.S.-led anti-ISIS coalition.

But the video that appeared Tuesday would suggest, if it's really the same person, that he's alive and well enough to make a death threat accompanied by a demand for money.

His apparent reappearance helps ISIS' slick propaganda machine, which is used by the extremist group to raise money and recruit followers.

"It shows them resilient -- that they're able to film this video with these Japanese hostages outside in broad daylight somewhere presumably in Syria," said CNN terrorism analyst Paul Cruickshank.

'Operating in 'denied territory'

Five months and roughly 2,000 airstrikes after ISIS' video of the killing of U.S. journalist James Foley, why does one of the West's most prominent tormentors appear to still be at liberty?

U.S. and British military and intelligence officials declined to comment on the matter.

Experts say the problem lies in the extreme difficulty of infiltrating commandos into Syria to reach Jihadi John.

"ISIS operates in what we call denied territory," said Cedric Leighton, a retired U.S. Air Force colonel. "And that means by definition, that it's very hard for our folks to get in there, it's very hard for them to actually lay eyes on target."

ISIS Executes Japanese Hostage
Issues Frightening Ultimatum for the Release of Second Hostage

“On Tuesday, ISIS released a video threatening to kill…two men–Kenji Goto and Haruna Yukawa–unless Japan paid the group $200 million within 72 hours.”

This was the latest in a string of videos in which ISIS displays kidnapped foreigners, demanding various actions be taken to spare their lives. ISIS has thus far executed numerous foreigners, including journalists James Foley, and Steven Sotloff, aid workers David Haines, Alan Henning, and Peter Kassig, and French citizen Herve Gourdel.

Japan has said it is working to free the hostages, but has not stated whether it would pay the ransom.”

“A picture and audio posted online Saturday purport to show that one of ISIS’s two Japanese hostages has been killed after a deadline for ransom passed, and appears to relay ISIS’s new demand for the other’s freedom–a prisoner exchange.”

As reported by CNN, ISIS has allegedly altered their demands. In exchange for remaining hostage Kenji Gota’s life, ISIS no longer wants money, but a prisoner:

“Over Saturday’s post, a man’s voice claiming to be Goto’s says in English that Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is to blame for Yukawa’s death…The voice then relays ISIS’ new demand–the release of Sajida Rishawi, a woman arrested in Jordan in 2005 on suspicion of planning to take part terror attacks.”

A prisoner exchange would be extremely difficult in this situation, as Japan has no authority to release Jordanian prisoners. Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe would have to strike a deal with the Jordanian government, which would likely take some time.

However, in terms of prisoner swaps, there is recent precedent–though many would argue that it was a dangerous decision. Last year, the Obama administration negotiated a deal to release five high level detainees from Guantanamo Bay, in exchange for Private (now Sgt.) Bowe Bergdahl.

The Obama administration faced swift, and critical blowback, and accusations of broken protocol. According to The Washington Times:

“The Obama administration conducted the negotiations behind the back of Congress, and several soldiers who served with Sgt. Bergdahl, angry that the president traded five battle-hardened terrorists they had risked their lives to capture, said the sergeant had actually deserted his post.”

Japan may not have to face the same critical hurdles as the Obama administration, but negotiating with terrorists is a dangerous gambit.

Time is running out for Japan to take action.

Khalaf is demanding Clint Eastwood and Bradley Cooper to send a message saying: “Arabs are Americans and Muslims are Americans.”

Machete Jihad: 19-year-old non-Muslim hacked to death outside pub in UK

19-year-old Zac Evans was hacked to death with a machete outside a pub in Gloucester early Saturday morning in an attack that left another two men with serious injuries.

Machete Jihad: 19-year-old hacked to death outside pub in Gloucester," Daily Europa, January 25, 2015 (thanks to Armaros) Details are yet to emerge but suspicions are that Zac may have been beheaded by an Islamic extremist.

This attack bares obvious similarities to the attack in Finland recently by a Somali immigrant who attacked three men outside a pub with a machete.

British press have as usual not given any clue as to the perpetrators identity which usually means the attacker is an immigrant, possibly Muslim.

Is this the start of a wave of machete Jihad attacks on European people outside pubs?

A pub car park may seem like an ideal location for Jihadists to, as the Quran commands, “lie in wait and ambush disbelievers”:

Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war. Qur’an: 9:5

Sahih International: So when you meet those who disbelieve, smite their necks until you have inflicted slaughter upon them.

Gloucester has a large Muslim population so it is reasonable to suspect that this attack was carried out by Muslims.

Zac Evans was attacked near the Pike and Musket pub in Tuffley, Gloucester, at about 12.40am today.

Despite the work of medics, the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving his family heartbroken.

Writing on Facebook, his grieving mum Sylv Evans said:

"Rest in peace Zac. Words cannot describe how heartbroken we are.

"A wonderful son, brother, Grandson, boyfriend and friend. You will be greatly missed. A hole in my heart cannot be filled.

"I love you Sparky. Rest in peace my beautiful son xxxxx."

Detectives said two other men, aged 18 and 22, were also assaulted by an offender armed with a weapon, believed to be a machete.

The 22- year-old injured man was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with serious injuries, where he underwent surgery and is now in a stable condition.

The third victim sustained minor injuries.

Joshua Flounders added: "Times like these really do put a lot of things in perspective. Condolences go out to Zac Evans' family & friends at this horrible time".

Another Twitter user spoke of her shock and said: "Can't even begin to get my head around what's happened in tuffley, sickens me R.I.P Zac Evans , thoughts go out to the family".

Flowers have also been left at the scene and neighbours have spoken at their shock in what is normally a "quiet" area.

Police have cordoned off the road outside the pub and a forensics tent has been put up in the car park.

A full search of the area is now underway in daylight.

In a statement confirming details of the incident, Gloucestershire Constabulary said: "Police are treating this as a murder investigation and would like to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened in the pub's car park or was in the area around the time of the incident and may have seen something which may help with inquiries."

Over the past 48 hours, there have been three more terror attacks worldwide, but I doubt you’ve even heard about them:

Barely a peep in the mainstream media.....

Now mind you, this was just in the last 48 hours.

What gets me is how fast those “Islamapologists” in the West continue to push the narrative of the “hijacking of a peaceful religion” by a few radicals. Well, it seems to be more than a few, and what if this narrative is totally wrong? What if this “hijacked” narrative is just something being contrived in the West to advance a state of denial — such as we saw last week in President Obama’s State of the Union address and in his previous statements of “Let me be clear, ISIS is not Islamic” – even though the first the letter in ISIS stands for Islamic.

First of all, I suggest we stop using the phrase “radical Islam.” The proper classification should be “militant Islam” — that is if you’ve read the Koran, the hadiths, and the suras. If you understand the respective phases of Islam’s development and expansion and how it relates to world history — not progressive socialist or Islamist revisionist history — “hijacked a religion?” I don’t think so. As matter of fact, I said this back in 2009 on a panel in New York City moderated by Jeb Babbin, which included Andrew McCarthy and former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Richard Meyers. History does not agree with the “hijacked” reference — and that subject has been covered most recently by the Israeli paper, Haaretz.

“The infidels are divided into three categories: people of the book – the Jews and Christians … those who have a sort of book – the Zoroastrians … and those with no book – those who worship idols or the stars,” the Shi’ite scholar Al-Tusi wrote in the 10th century. And Islam’s attitude toward unbelievers nowadays is made very clear in the words of religious arbiter Abd al-Aziz ibn Baz, the former grand mufti of Saudi Arabia: “The Koran, the laws of the prophet and the general agreement among Muslims all teach us that Muslims have an obligation to be the enemies of the infidels – the Jews, the Christians and the rest of the idol worshippers.”

In the West we must stop finding any means possible to dismiss what Islamic doctrine and text commands. There is a reason why the flag of Saudi Arabia has a koranic verse and the sword of Muhammad. I don’t recall Jesus Christ carrying a sword, do you?

Once Muhammad departed from Mecca (first Mecca phase) and ended up in Medina he took a turn towards violence. The corresponding verses in the Koran reflect that and history does as well. Muhammad led some 20-25 raids — combat operations — the first being circa 622 AD with the Nakhla raid. The abrogated verses of the Koran results in the latter verses – the more violent once — superseding the previous “peaceful” verses — but they are all words and revelations from Allah.

This leads to the duplicitous and hypocritical nature of Islam — it means whatever it wants to mean, a religious buffet. And that’s why I say “radical Islam” is not the correct definition. There’s nothing radical about their text — as they see it. However, after the first Mecca phase to the present, Islam has been militant in its designs — proselytization and expansion has not been done by a peaceful means, but rather from the end of a sword.

So why this widespread sense of denial?

Mr. Masalha explains,

“As Islamist terror appeared on the world stage over the past few decades, many Muslims cried out, claiming that such terror besmirched Islam and didn’t represent it. The terrorists have kidnapped Islam, they said. But the question that begs to be asked is, who kidnapped whom? Isn’t it more reasonable to assume that the Islamic texts are the ones that kidnapped the terrorists, not the reverse?”

“When reports emerged after a recent conference of Islamic scholars at Cairo’s Al-Azhar University that one religious arbiter had implied that members of ISIS were heretics, Al-Azhar was forced to issue a denial. Muslim religious scholars find themselves at a disadvantage compared to those who wave the banner of militant Islam – for reading the publications of these fundamentalist organizations shows that they derive their strength and inspiration from the very same foundational texts of Islam itself.”

But hey, I know that no matter how many facts I present, the Islamapologists will brand me as the Islamophobe. However, what about taking the militant Islamists at their word?

“These Islamists aren’t ashamed to proclaim their worldview in public. From their perspective, Islam is “an aggressive religion, a religion of war, a religion of jihad, a religion of beheadings and bloodshed,” as Hussein bin Mohammed wrote in an article published on an Islamist website under the title “The beheading issue.” “It’s neither beheading unbelievers nor terror that besmirch Islam,” he argued, but rather “all those who want Islam to be in the image of Mandela or Gandhi, without bloodshed and beheadings.” The provocative writer then added, “That isn’t the religion of Mohammed, who was sent out with his sword until Judgment Day; Mohammed, of whom the only chapter in the Koran that bears his name is called the war chapter. … All those who try to paint Islam as a religion of peace, doves and love … are doing so under the influence of the West’s false views and its evil ideas, which are being exported to the Islamic nation in order to weaken it.”

Nope, I’ll take the enemy at their word, and for what they believe. I will not be a member of the dismissive “coexist” crowd who do so only in fear of having to face this historic evil. So henceforth, I will be keeping track of everyone who comes out and supplies the false narrative that, “Islam is a peaceful religion that has been hijacked by radicals.”

Islam must have a reformation that brings it into the 21st century — leaving behind the savage and barbaric violence of the text from the 7th and 8th century. Until that happens, well, nothing else matters — as Mr. Masalha states, “only a root canal of Islam’s ideas can move the Arab and Muslim world toward modernity.”

But more importantly, some in the West urgently require another medical procedure to remove their heads from a certain lower part of their anatomy.

ISIS threatens Obama, Japanese and Jordanian hostages in new online messages

A new, grisly beheading video from ISIS includes a direct threat against President Obama and is one of at least three new warnings from the terror organization, including pledges to kill Jordanian and Japanese hostages if a hostage held by Jordan is not freed.

In a new online video discovered by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) on Tuesday, three Islamic State fighters stand behind a kneeling Kurdish fighter as one of the extremists launches into a diatribe against the U.S. and other Western nations.

“Know, oh Obama, that will reach America,” says one of the fighters, clad in black and wearing a balaclava, in a translation from Arabic provided by MEMRI. “Know also that we will cut off your head in the White House, and transform America into a Muslim Province.”

The extremist also issued warnings to European nations.

“And this is my message to France and to its sister, Belgium,” he said. “We advise you that we will come to you with car bombs and explosive charges, and will cut off your heads.”

The video fades to black as one Islamic State fighter brings a knife up to the unidentified Kurdish fighter’s throat.

In a separate online message, Islamic State warned Tuesday that a Japanese hostage and Jordanian pilot the extremists are holding have less than "24 hours left to live." They demand that Sajida al-Rishawi, a woman who has been held by Jordan for nine years after she admitted her role in deadly attacks at Amman hotels that killed at least 57 people, be freed in exchange for the men.

Al-Rishawi, who Islamic State calls a “sister of the Caliphate,” was sentenced to death in 2006. But, that same year, Jordan imposed a moratorium on the death penalty.

"Any more delays by the Jordanian government will mean [that] they are responsible for the death of their pilot, which then will be followed by mine [i.e. my death],” says a voice believed to be that of Kenji Goto Jogo, one of two Japanese hostages shown in a video released a week ago, along with a demand for $200 million from Japan. "I only have 24 hours left to live, and the pilot has even less. Please don't leave us to die."

Jogo is a freelance journalist who was captured in Syria late last year, after reportedly traveling there to try to help Haruna Yukawa, a private soldier who had gone earlier to fight and was captured. Yukawa is believed to have been beheaded after Japan refused to pay the ransom.

Jordanian pilot Mu'adh Safi Yusuf al-Kasasibah was captured in Syria in December and has been held by Islamic State ever since, although the audio message released Tuesday was the first tying his fate to the release of Al-Rishawi.

Jogo's audio message, which is just under 2 minutes long, was released in a file that includes a still photo of himself holding a picture believed to be of al-Kasasibah, the captured Jordanian pilot.

"I've been told [by ISIS] that this is my last message," the Japanese hostage says, adding that the only obstacle remaining for his release is the Jordanian government and that "time is now running very short!"

Yet another ISIS video was released online on Tuesday, according to MEMRI, bringing to three the total of audio and video messages from the terror group since the weekend.

Tuesday's video matched a message released over the weekend, though neither bore the logo of the Islamic State group's al-Furqan media arm. The video released over the weekend appeared to show Jogo holding the body of his murdered countryman.

The White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment about the new threats, including the one directed at President Obama. In that video, the Islamic State fighters also single out Masoud Barzani, the president of the Kurdish-controlled portion of Iraq.

“But as for you, oh Masoud, you dog, we are going to behead you and throw you into the trash bin of history,” he shouted during the video, while waving his fist in the air. “Know that we are men who fear no one. We will institute the laws of Allah, may He be exalted and praised.”

He then issued another warning, saying that for every missile launched by Kurdish forces, that they would behead one of their soldiers before slitting the throat of the Kurd fighter as people gathered to watch the incident on a public street.

ISIS Follows Through with Beheading of Second Japanese Hostage

The inhumane Islamic State group released a video Saturday purportedly showing the beheading of Japanese hostage, 47 year old Kenji Goto.

Goto was a journalist who was passionate about communicating to the world how people suffered under the oppression of others, and particularly how Syrians and Iraqis suffer under the inhumane ISIS Islamic terrorists.

In the video, Goto is seen kneeling, dressed in an orange outfit, as a masked man standing beside him with a knife blames the Japanese government for his “slaughter.” It ends with a still photo of the body with the head resting on the back.

The executioner appears to be the man known as Jihadi John, speaking with a southern English accent and addressing the Japanese government. John spoke directly to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe saying,

“Because of your reckless decision to take part in an unwinnable war, this knife will not only slaughter Kenji, but will also carry on and cause carnage wherever your people are found. So let the nightmare for Japan begin.
