Obama’s DHS Chief Blames GOP For Border Crisis

WASHINGTON — Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson today suggested that the GOP is responsible for the growing border crisis because it has not approved the Senate’s June 2013 immigration rewrite that is backed by President Barack Obama.

He suggested that migrants are now crossing the border while wrongly hoping they will be included in the amnesty that is part of the Senate’s bill.

“There is a lot of anticipation [among potential migrants] about what comprehensive immigration reform would do, but it needs to be clear [to new border-crossers] that if the Congress acts on the pending legislation, the earned path to citizenship is for those who have been in the country now for a year and half, not those who are crossing today,” he said.

The “earned path to citizenship” is the White House’s preferred term for amnesty.

“If Congress acts, I believe we would know our immigration law landscape for years, if not decades,” he said at an afternoon press conference.

If the GOP approves the massive rewrite, border officials will also have extra resources “as well as stability in the law,” he said.

Johnson also used the conference to to deliver two additional conflicting messages to two other critical audiences.

He sought to reassure Americans who are worried about the growing wave of migrants. ”I’m not encouraging in any way, shape or form illegal migration, that’s not the message,” he said, revealing his public relations priority.

He also signaled mixed support to a huge number of Latinos in Central America and in the United States who may want to send their children north in the hope they will be given permission to live in the United States.

He said the new migrants would not be eligible for the Senate’s amnesty, nor for the president’s 2012 “Deferred Action for Childhood Migrants” mini-amnesty. But he also said repeatedly that they would be treated very well, and would be allowed to make their case for residency in the administration’s immigration courts.

Probable Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton broke with President Obama on a key policy issue Tuesday, claiming the unprecedented number of illegal children flooding into the United States must be deported and returned to their families in Central America.

For years, parents in crime-ridden Central American nations have been sending their children up through Mexico alone to cross the American border.

Driven in part by rhetoric emanating from the White House, these parents believe their children will be safe in the United States and won’t be turned away.

But thousands of these young people — many mere toddlers — die while trekking through Central America and Mexico on their own.

The flood recently became too much for the White House to hide, spilling into warehouses run by the Border Patrol, the Department of Homeland Security and a partnership of other public and private agencies. And the deluge shows no signs of abating.

President Obama and Vice President Biden have both shied away from solutions to the problem. But in a CNN town hall broadcast on Tuesday, Hillary Clinton diverged significantly from her former boss.

“Hard choice,” asked CNN’s Christiane Amanpour. “Let them stay in the United States or send them back?”

“Well, two quick points,” the former secretary of state replied. “One, the numbers are increasing dramatically. And the main reason I believe why that’s happening is that the violence in certain of those Central American countries is increasing dramatically.”

“Should they be able to stay here?” Amanpour pressed. “It’s safer.”

“Well, it — it may be safer, but that’s not the answer,” Clinton responded.

Mexican Army Crossing the Border and Firing on Americans!

Mexican soldiers are crossing the border into American and firing on United States citizens. Tucson based KVOA reported on this alarming trend earlier this year. Not only are these Mexican Army soldiers firing on American citizens, they are also challenging federal agents and border patrol.

In January, soldiers from this lonely outpost of the Mexican Army drew their guns on U.S. Border Patrol agents just 50 yards into the United States. Then in March, they opened fire on Javier Jose Rodriguez, a young Tucson man visiting family in Sásabe when he was driving around the town early on a Saturday morning after drinking beers with friends. Rodriguez was shot in the arm and in the side, he spent three weeks at University of Arizona Medical Center.

These are but two instances of Mexican soldiers crossing the border, an act that has reportedly happened at least 300 times over the last 18 years. The federal government has had no real response to this troubling and dangerous trend. Although Oklahoma Senator Tom Coburn requested answers from Homeland Security this Mexican Army invasion and attacks in early February, to date he has received no response.

Robert Ayers, a resident of Arivaca, describes the frightening experience that he had with Mexican soldiers who appeared late one night, landing in a helicopter behind his barn. Ayers said several men emerged from the helicopter, clad in black. The men were in full body armor, wearing masks over the faces and carried what appeared to be full automatic weapons.

Art del Cueto, President of the Border Patrol’s union in the Tucson Sector, Local 2544 said, “I mean, it’s very nerve-wracking. A lot of these encounters happen in the middle of the night where, you know, the lighting is low and you don’t know who you’re encountering. You’re sitting there and seeing a group of guys coming up to you and they’re all carrying long-arms, you don’t know what you’re encountering.” Cueto continued saying, “When you see our own government putting more emphasis on the rights of individuals who are in this country illegally already instead of trying to help out the agents and seeing these intrusions and taking them seriously, it’s very frustrating.”

Feds Stand Down As U.S. Border Collapses

Border Patrol trucks sit in parking lots as surge of illegal immigrants flood America

The decrease of Border Patrol activity in the border city of Brownsville, Texas, highlights how not only is the Border Patrol stretched too thin, but its agents are also being pressured to stand down from enforcing immigration laws.



Additionally, the feds are ensuring a media blackout of the border collapse by closing down areas near the border which have traditionally been open to the public.

In and around Brownsville, far more Border Patrol vehicles could be seen parked at various government facilities than patrolling the streets and surrounding areas, contrary to what one would expect considering the current flood of tens of thousands of immigrants from Central America crossing the border.

And while Americans are routinely violated – and abused – at TSA checkpoints in the name of “safety,” illegal immigrants on the other hand are roaming past America’s border with complete impunity and are given better treatment by the government.

Of course, by shutting down public areas near the border, the Obama administration can cover this up to its advantage as the White House pressures Congress into enacting amnesty in law, all while reducing national sovereignty at the same time.

‘Cheat Sheet’ Found at the Border Instructs Illegals How to LIE to Stay in the U.S.
U.S. law enforcement officials have been finding “cheat sheets” along the border used by illegal aliens to stay in the United States and not get deported after they’ve been caught.

The notes – dubbed “illegal alien cheat sheets” by one official – give pointers in Spanish on what illegals should say when confronted by border agents. Officials believe the sheets were likely supplied by human smugglers to the illegal border crossers.

It is just the latest twist in Barack Obama’s engineered border “crisis” in which his DHS planned for the “resettlement” of 65,000 illegal aliens women, children and teenagers in the United States 5 months before the mass-crossing began — as we reported last week.

A copy of one sheet obtained by journalist Sarah Carter lists a series of questions that U.S. authorities will consider in granting someone an immigration hearing. “It’s proof they are told what to say,” a Department of Homeland Security official told Carter. Often times, the sheets get “destroyed or thrown away before illegal aliens are apprehended.”

The sheet obtained by Carter has handwritten notes about the appropriate “yes” or “no” answers to the questions, along with some jotted personal notes on what to say to U.S. authorities. They include, “Who did you live with?” and the answer, “My aunt, but she crossed the border.”

Another handwritten question is, “Where does your father live?” The answer underneath reads, “I don’t know him or even his name.”

Border Patrol agents in McAllen, Texas, have said most of the illegal aliens they encounter have the same “rehearsed” answers about having “credible fear” in fleeing their countries so they will not be returned.

Among the printed statements in Spanish on the sheet are:



• Why did you abandon your country?

• Because of poverty and misery.

• You’re in fear of your government and afraid to live in your country.

• You’re afraid of extortion from Maras [MS-13 gang].

• Do you have family in the United States?

• Is this the first time you’ve come into this country?

• Did you swim across the river?

• Somebody told you that if you brought a minor child into the United States you can stay.

If this all looks familiar, it should — Obama’s own DHS in 2013 actually broadcast “hints” to border crossers on how they could evade deportation by claiming a “credible fear” of persecution in their home countries.

The result was thousands of border crossers — mainly in the San Diego sector — doing exactly that. And instead of being deported, they were released with a court date to hear their “asylum” request, a process that can take years to resolve, all while they are free to stay in the United States. Only the hopelessly naive would believe the Obama Administration did not have a hand in the wording behind these “cheat sheets” as well.

Make no mistake...this is all calculated, by design, to “collapse the system”. To overwhelm the border with utter chaos, and then come in and present “immigration reform” as the only solution. It is classic Cloward-Piven, and it will only get worse unless the Congress, or Southwestern states, put a stop to it.
