Clinton lashes out at senator over Benghazi questioning
    Published January 23, 2013

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Wednesday lashed out over the claim that the administration misled Americans about the nature of the Libya terror attack by asserting that it was the result of a protest, raising her voice during a Senate hearing and asking: "What difference, at this point, does it make?"

Clinton, in what may be her final set of testimony as secretary, pointedly challenged Republican Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson when he claimed the department could have "easily" determined what happened that night by interviewing staffers who were evacuated.

He was referring to the administration's initial claim that the attack sprung out of a protest. It was later determined there was no protest on the ground in Benghazi. Diplomatic security agents said as much to the FBI during interviews on Sept. 14, despite administration claims to the contrary two days later.

"That was a piece of information that could have been easily -- easily -- ascertained, within hours if not days," Johnson said.

"We were misled that there were supposedly protests and something sprang out of that. ... The American people could have known that (there was no protest) within days, and they didn't know that."

At that point, Clinton began to raise her voice.

"With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans," she said.

    "I understand," Johnson said.

Clinton continued to speak, raising her voice and gesturing: "Was it because of a protest or is it because of guys out for a walk one night and they decide they go kill some Americans?

"What difference, at this point, does it make?"

Clinton, lowering her voice, then said it is the administration's job to "figure out what happened" and prevent it from happening again.

Later in the testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Clinton acknowledged the administration did not have a "clear picture" of what happened in the immediate aftermath. She said perhaps officials didn't do a good enough job explaining that they "didn't have a clear picture."

But Clinton still said the motivations of the attackers, to this day, is not clear. "Even today there are questions being raised," she said, referring to findings in the classified version of a recent report that she could not describe in detail.

The secretary continued to take heat from Republican senators as the hearing proceeded. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., said that if he were president, "I would have relieved you from your post." He suggested lives could have been saved if she were more involved in reviewing security requests.

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., after the exchange with Johnson, said he was not satisfied with the secretary's answers, complaining that the public still doesn't have answers on what happened.

Clinton, throughout the hearing, walked a fine line between taking responsibility generally for what went wrong and challenging specific allegations against her department and the administration.

During the opening of the hearing, Clinton said she has "no higher priority" than the security of her department's staff, and that she is committed to making the department "safer, stronger and more secure."

"As I have said many times, I take responsibility, and nobody is more committed to getting this right," Clinton said, later choking up when describing how she greeted the families of the victims when the caskets were returned.

Clinton went on to defend the administration's actions on the night of Sept. 11, when the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi came under fire and four Americans died.

"I directed our response from the State Department and stayed in close contact with officials from across our government and the Libyan government," she said. "No delays in decision-making. No denials of support from Washington or from our military."

Citing the findings of a review panel, she said: "The Board said the response saved American lives in real time -- and it did."

Several accounts relayed to Fox News, though, suggest possible delays in the response.

Fox News has learned from senior U.S. defense officials that a FAST team of Marines out of Spain was asked by State Department officials to change out of their Marine uniforms after being asked to leave for Libya to help -- this required them to deplane and delayed them by about 90 minutes, according to Pentagon officials.

Then there is the decision by Clinton and State Department Undersecretary of Management Patrick Kennedy not to mobilize the Counterterrorism Security Group, which is composed of experts on terrorism from across government agencies and makes recommendations on the response to crises involving terrorism.

Further, there are questions about the perceived delays CIA officials -- stationed in Benghazi -- encountered that night and their frustration that air support was not sent from nearby Sigonella air base. In recent weeks, Fox News has learned that the rescue unit that left Tripoli was told that air support would be above when they landed in Benghazi. It wasn't.

Members of the Special Operations teams sent from Fort Bragg, N.C. and the Commander's In Extremis Force in nearby Croatia also say they were never given permission to enter Libya, even though some were just a short flight away in Europe.

The hearing Wednesday comes amid a broadening threat to U.S. interest across North Africa. There are reports that some of the attackers who took hostages in the deadly raid on an Algeria gas plant may have also participated in the Libya attack.

"Benghazi did not happen in a vacuum," Clinton said Wednesday, while saying later she could not verify that specific claim. She said instability has created an "expanding safe haven for terrorists" who plot into Algeria and other countries.

The Obama administration has also faced scrutiny about security requests that were denied in the months leading up to the attack. Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., top Republican on the Senate committee, lamented "the spiking of the ball and the thinking that when Usama bin Laden was gone that was the end of Al Qaeda."

"We know nothing could be further from the truth," he said.

Clinton appeared to agree that the terrorist threat is far from diminished, but said that she never saw the requests from the Libya team for more security.

"I didn't see those requests, they didn't come to me," Clinton said.

Clinton will testify Wednesday afternoon on the House side.

Facts and questions about what happened in Benghazi
By Jennifer Griffin, Adam Housley Published January 22, 2013

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will testify Wednesday before House and Senate committees on the Libya terror attack. As she prepares to deliver her months-in-the-waiting account, a string of unanswered questions continues to hang over her department and the entire national security team.

    DELAY IN MILITARY RESPONSE

    The facts:

Fox News has learned that U.S. Marines who were part of a FAST (Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team) responding to Libya were told by the State Department to deplane, change out of their U.S. military uniforms and put on civilian clothes before flying to Tripoli -- a decision that delayed them from launching by approximately 90 minutes, according to senior military officials who briefed Congress. The FAST team, which was made up of about 50 Marines, was ordered by Defense Secretary Leon Panetta to launch from Rota, Spain, the night of the attack on the Benghazi diplomatic mission.

Members of the Special Operations teams sent from Fort Bragg, N.C. and the Commander’s In Extremis Force in nearby Croatia say they were never given permission to enter Libya, even though some were just a short flight away in Europe.

The Accountability Review Board appointed by Clinton and overseen by Adm. Mike Mullen and former Ambassador Thomas Pickering concluded: “The Board members believe every possible effort was made to rescue and recover Ambassador Stevens and Sean Smith. The interagency response was timely and appropriate, but there simply was not enough time for armed U.S. military assets to have made a difference.”

    The questions:

Why was it necessary for those Marines to change into civilian clothing when it was apparent that U.S. government officials were in imminent danger?

Did the State Department ever secure permission from Libya and Italy to fly armed units and flights to Libya the night of the attack?

U.S. military planes based at both Sigonella and Aviano, Italy, must have permission from the Italian government on a case-by-case basis to take off armed. According to former U.S. military commanders, this is an issue that can stymie rescue efforts, if the State Department does not manage to secure the appropriate permissions from the host government -- Italy, in this case. If those permissions were not secured, is it safe to assume the State Department was reluctant to ask the U.S. military to help in Libya before, during or after the Sept. 11 attack?

Were they concerned about a Black Hawk Down-type situation, losing military assets trying to help with a rescue?

    The facts:

Defense Department spokesman George Little says that the FAST team would not have been in Libya in time to save any lives, and any delays to change out of military uniforms likely did not make a difference since all surviving State Department personnel left the consulate for the CIA Annex about an hour and 45 minutes after the attack began at 9:42 p.m. Libyan time.

However, even according the ARB timeline, Ambassador Chris Stevens’ body was not returned to the Benghazi airport until 8:25 a.m. on Sept. 12.

He remained missing for nearly 11 hours.

    The question:

Should more have been done to try to retrieve his body from the Benghazi hospital?

    DISCREPANCIES IN OFFICIAL DOD TIMELINE

    The facts:

The official Defense Department timeline and the independent Accountability Review Board state that the European Commander in Extremis Force that AFRICOM commander Gen. Carter Ham ordered to Sigonella from a training mission in Europe arrived at 7:57 p.m. on Sept. 12 (nearly 22 hours after the attack began). Fox News has reported it was training in nearby Croatia, a short flight away.

Fox News has learned that a 12-member alert force from the CIF team who were staged to Sigonella from Croatia arrived at the staging base in southern Italy within several hours of being alerted of the attack -- but they were not given permission to move into Libya.

Fox News has also learned that the team of Tier One special operators who took off from the United States landed in Sigonella air base in southern Italy at about 7:30 a.m. local time – an hour before Stevens’ body was retrieved.

And yet the official Defense Department timeline says that this National Mission Force team did not arrive in Sigonella until 9:28 p.m. Libyan time on Sept. 12 (nearly 24 hours after the attack began).

    The question:

Why the discrepancy in the official Defense Department timeline and the time that those special operators say they landed in Sigonella from the United States?

    “FAST MOVERS” WERE PROMISED

    The facts:

The quick reaction force that was mobilized from the Libyan capital was made up of five Americans -- including Glen Doherty, who was on contract with the CIA’s Global Response Staff (or GRS), and two Delta Force special operators who were in Libya on a separate assignment. That was all the hastily rented plane could hold, according to the State Department Review Board. Stevens used the cellphone of Regional Security Officer 1, who is currently recovering at Walter Reed. Stevens was speaking with the Embassy in Tripoli at 9:50 p.m. from the safe room where he and RSO1 had retreated for safety.

When the reaction team left Tripoli for Benghazi several hours after the attack began, they were told by one of the senior U.S. security officials at the Embassy that there would be “fast movers above Benghazi” when they arrived. “Fast movers” is a reference to military jets used to fly over a combat situation. It was a reference to F-18s, F-15s or F-16s that would have been flown in from Europe.

The team that left for Benghazi assumed they would have air cover when they landed. Instead, they got held up at the Benghazi airport without transportation and did not arrive at the CIA Annex to help with the evacuation until 5 a.m. local time on Sept. 12 (more than seven hours after the attack had begun.) Air support never came.

Doherty, a former Navy SEAL, was a part of that team and was killed by a mortar while he and Tyrone Woods manned defensive positions on the roof. Woods did not die immediately from the mortar attack. He bled out over several hours, according to one eyewitness who was there that night.

Fox News has also learned that some of Stevens’ in-country security detail did not accompany him to Benghazi on Sept 11.

    The questions:

Why was the “fast movers” team never sent from Italy?

Why did highly trained members of the diplomatic security service remain behind in Tripoli, and why did Stevens take only a skeletal security team to Benghazi?

The Board found that Stevens made the decision to travel to Benghazi independently of Washington. His plans “were not shared thoroughly with the Embassy’s country team, who were not fully aware of planned movements off the compound,” according to independent investigators. Why the secrecy?

WHAT WAS THE CIA DOING IN BENGHAZI?

    The facts:

The U.S. post in Benghazi consisted of two parts – the diplomatic consulate and a CIA Annex. Details about the extent of the annex’s work was unclear.

“General Ham did not have complete visibility of the extent and number of government personnel in Benghazi in the event that a NEO (Noncombatant Evacuation Operation) was required,” according to a report by Sens. Joe Lieberman and Susan Collins, even though the Defense Department “assumes responsibility for evacuation of diplomatic personnel, U.S. citizens...in crises. AFRICOM was responsible for working with Department of State officials in Libya to develop and coordinate Noncombatant Evacuation Operations (NEO) plans for the diplomatic facilities in the region.”

    The questions:

What was the CIA doing in Benghazi establishing one of its largest hubs in North Africa without informing AFRICOM commander Carter Ham?

Why did Stevens feel the need to be in Benghazi on Sept. 11? He went to the CIA Annex for a briefing the day before. And why did communications specialist Sean Smith travel to Benghazi the week before Stevens’ arrival if he was simply going to Benghazi to attend the opening of an “American corner” at a local school, as reported in the ARB?

What was the meeting with the Turkish envoy about on the night of Sept. 11 -- has the FBI interviewed the Turkish diplomat?

    The facts:

The Embassy and Stevens were in the process of shutting down the Benghazi mission, and the State Department had authorized it to be closed in December 2012.

“Another key driver behind the weak security platform in Benghazi was the decision to treat Benghazi as a temporary, residential facility, not officially notified to the host government, even though it was also a full time office facility,” the ARB report concluded.

Rep. Ted Poe, R-Texas, who was just made the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Terrorism, Non-Proliferation and Trade, has been demanding answers from the Pentagon about what U.S. personnel were doing in Benghazi and has been frustrated about the administration’s unwillingness to answer his questions.

“There are a lot of contradictions and inconsistencies in these reports,” Poe told Fox News.

He has asked whether the U.S. or its allies furnished any rebel groups in Libya with weapons during the uprising against Muammar Qaddafi -- in particular Ansar al-Shariah, the group largely believed to be responsible for the consulate attack.

The question: Poe, in an interview with Fox News, asked “did we help facilitate in some way, or know about the movement of weapons to Libyan rebels and did we help, know about, or get involved in the weapons movement from Libya to Syria?”

WHAT DID THE NATIONAL COMMAND AUTHORITY AUTHORIZE?

    The facts:

Undersecretary of State for Management Patrick Kennedy was running the Operations Center overseeing the rescue on Sept. 11 at the State Department. As the attack began, the Tactical Operations Center in the U.S. mission Benghazi “triggered an audible alarm, and immediately alerted the U.S. Embassy in Tripoli and DS (Diplomatic Security) headquarters in Washington. These notifications were quickly transmitted from the Department of State to the Department of Defense. DS headquarters maintained open phone lines with the DS personnel throughout the attack.”

But the defense secretary and Joint Chiefs Chairman Martin Dempsey were not alerted to the attack for 50 minutes, and they in turn did not raise the issue with the president until a previously scheduled meeting with Obama at the White House at 5 p.m. -- one hour and 18 minutes after the attack began.

“That same DS agent (at the consulate) also called the annex to request assistance from security personnel there, who immediately began to prepare to aid the U.S. personnel at the diplomatic facility,” according to the Senate Homeland Security Committee’s report.

The CIA response team from the annex arrived at the consulate which was one mile away within 25 minutes. CIA Director David Petraeus was in the CIA operations center overseeing the rescue that night and did not leave until all U.S. personnel were accounted for. Petraeus flew to Tripoli in subsequent weeks to interview the station chief and others about what happened that night and found there was no delay in rescue efforts.

The Accountability Review Board, we have since learned, did not interview all members of the CIA’s Global Response Staff who were at the CIA Annex that night, at least one of whom says his team was not given permission at first to go and help at the “consulate” after security personnel put out immediate calls for help -- a charge the CIA refutes.

The diplomatic security officer who repeatedly re-entered the smoke-filled premises to try to find Stevens also says he was not interviewed by Mullen and Pickering’s team. He says the senior leadership at the State Department did not make them available to the Accountability Review Board.

    The questions:

Where was John Brennan, the president’s chief counterterrorism adviser, the afternoon of the attack?

Are there minutes from the Situation Room?

What was his advice to the president that afternoon and evening?

Was anybody at the CIA Annex told to stand down or to wait before responding to the consulate?

Bring Benghazi Survivors to Capitol Hill
by Kerry Picket23 Jan 2013, 12:53 PM PDT

Senator John McCain (R-AZ) wants to hear directly from the survivors of the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack after receiving what he felt were insufficient answers in Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's testimony to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Wednesday morning.

Breitbart News asked if he was satisfied with any of her responses. "Of course not," he responded. "If you watched the hearings, you saw me list about ten unanswered questions."

Sen. McCain told Breitbart News on Tuesday that the committee would ask about survivors who were evacuated after the Benghazi attack. Clinton mentioned that 20 to 30 diplomatic staffers were evacuated and one DSA agent is still recovering in the hospital.

Senator McCain wants to see survivors come to Capitol Hill and give their account of what happened in Benghazi on September 11.

"They should certainly [do so]. If not come up to Capitol Hill at least be identified and take their statements as to what they saw," he said.

Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) criticized Clinton for not telling State Department officials to contact survivors after the attacks to find out if there were protests around the diplomatic mission in Benghazi before the attack that killed four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens.

Although Clinton's tenure as Sec. of State is ending soon, McCain hinted he is looking to follow up to get more information on the Benghazi attacks. "We still want the questions answered. We’ll do everything we can to get answers to questions. The American people deserve them. Like Hillary said, 'there are four dead Americans.'"

"Clinton mentioned that 20 to 30 diplomatic staffers were evacuated and one DSA agent is still recovering in the hospital."
So.... Were there 20 or 30 ?? No one knows how o count ?? And who evacuated them??? Where are they NOW ??

    ...

For once I agree with John McCain. Isn't it funny how not one of the survivors has made a public appearance? Not one?

    ...

Yes, agree. For once McCain said something useful. I think that the survivors have been intimidated and threatened about speaking out, how else would you explain their disappearance and silence since September?

I bet this administration has "made them a deal they couldn't refuse" and we will probably not hear much of the complete story or truth unless some go rogue.

    ..

Since the Benghazi outpost was really a CIA enterprise, it is very likely the survivors are CIA operatives. If that is so, they certainly won't go public with statements recounting the events on 9/11/12, even to Congress. If any of them should be so bold as to do otherwise, that person is sure to meet an untimely end.

    ..

Crucial questions were not asked, answers were evasive, political posturing reigned, kabuki tears flowed and the American people recieved a true picture of what we pay our taxes to and for.

    ..

How can this hearing be ended when she hasn't answered one question with a satisfactory answer? If your not going to hold her foot to the fire then what is the purpose of these meetings? What happened to the Muslim Brotherhood investigation held by King? Nothing. There are more Islamists in the White House now than ever. What's going on? Why are Americans not up in arms and writing and demonstrating for accountability? This is one of the most corrupt administrations in the history of this country and they just don't have to be held accountable.

    ..

Disgusting but so true. Someone should have been responsible for their deaths. The administration watched real time of the attack and still deny what happened. those men were waiting for the Americans to save them. They died waiting for help. Obama and administration are liars and deserve to be charged with four counts of murder.

State Department Had No $$$ for Benghazi Security, Did Have $16 Mil for Kindles and $4.5 for Art

January 23, 2013 By Daniel Greenfield

According to Hillary Clinton’s long-delayed Benghazigate testimony, the State Department just did not have enough money to provide security for a mission in one of the most dangerous places in the world.

It did however have 16 million dollars to spend on 2,500 kindle book readers at the drastically inflated price of $6,600 per device. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Governm...Retail-for-189

How much security could that 16 million buy?

It had $79,000 to spend on Obama’s books http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011...obama-memoirs/ and $20,000 on a portrait of Obama. http://frontpagemag.com/2012/dgreenf...hazi-security/ The US Embassy had $150,000 to spend on a book - about the ambassador’s residence. http://italy.usembassy.gov/about-us/.../archived.html The US Embassy in Austria had $150,000+ for a Chevy Volt and its charging station. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/...-embassy-gain/

And here is what else Hillary’s State Department did have money for : http://www.foreignpolicy.com/files/f...s/HCFA2012.pdf

7.9 billion dollars for Obama’s Global Health Initiative.

1 billion for global climate change.

2.2 billion to strengthen democratic institutions in Pakistan.
And of course… Mosque renovations. http://frontpagemag.com/2012/dgreenf...-did-have-for/
In 2011 the State Department provided funds to restore the 15th century Gobarau Minaret in Katsina State in Nigeria’s predominantly Muslim north, an area which has become a virtual killing field for Christians at the hands of Muslim militants, led by the al-Qaeda-linked terror group Boko Haram.
And $4.5 million for Art in Embassies http://frontpagemag.com/2012/dgreenf...hazi-security/

The New York Times reported in 2009 that Art in Embassies spends about $4.5 million a year for permanent art acquisitions; chief curator Virginia Shore said at the time that artists and dealers support the program via favorable pricing; for the embassy in Beijing, an outlay of $800,000 yielded works with an appraised value of $30 million.
How much Benghazi security would 800,000 dollars have bought? If Hillary Clinton had stopped buying paintings, maybe four Americans would still be alive today.

The State Department also has a Chief Diversity Officer, whose job it is to warn that “holding the fort” is a racist phrase. http://rightpunditry.wordpress.com/2...ot-offend-him/

As far as security goes, 200 million dollars were wasted on Iraqi police training that never went anywhere. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/worl...udit-says.html

And nothing says State Department waste, like waste management. http://www.state.gov/r/pa/prs/ps/2012/04/187370.htm

The U.S. Department of State and partners from the LAUNCH: Beyond Waste Forum announce a challenge to identify ten game-changing innovations with the potential to transform current waste management systems and practices. LAUNCH: Beyond Waste seeks transformational solutions to the problem of waste through disruptive innovation, behavioral change, systems design, as well as improved policy and stewardship.

The challenge, which will be open from April 1 to May 15, 2012, asks creative minds to formulate innovative ideas for minimizing waste or transforming it into new products.
Nope, no waste to see here.

The State Department just had no money in its 50 billion dollar budget to pay for Benghazi security. None at all.

Benghazi Terrorist Attack: Obama still silent after cover up attempt

    Posted on January 23 2013

It has been more than five months since the tragic Al Qaeda-led terrorist attack on a defenseless United States Embassy in Benghazi, Libya that left four Americans dead including Ambassador J. Chris Stevens. Five months of lies from the Obama Administration, five months of disrespectful silence from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

During that time, Conservative-Daily has partnered with our readers to DEMAND that Secretary Clinton testify in regards to the terror attack in Benghazi. Our efforts have finally paid off! Your faxes to Congress worked. On January 23rd Secretary Clinton testified in front of Congress.

Unfortunately, she is he is five months late and there has been a cover up. WE MUST DEMAND THAT PRESIDENT OBAMA ANSWER PUBLICLY FOR ANY ALLEGED CRIMES AGAINST THE UNITED STATES. Four Americans are dead. And yet there is still one unconfirmed “American” in the White House acting as our President who is ignoring our laws and our patriots all the while, allowing Americans to be slaughtered at the hands of monsters.

For five months Americans have demanded to know what exactly transpired in Libya on September 11, 2012. We demand to know why our countrymen died defenseless, sacrificing their lives for their county. But the Obama Administration is silent. In fact, they REFUSE to speak on the subject. What? Did you expect them to tell the truth and relinquish power? The cover up was a knee jerk response from an Administration for which such un-American activities have become commonplace.

Obama’s purposeful obfuscation is easy to understand: he had an election to steal. He didn’t want the American people to know that the Embassy lacked armed security even though it resided in a nation known for harboring terrorists and has been historically antagonistic to the United States. He didn’t want us to know that the Embassy had petitioned for added security and had been denied. He didn’t want us to know that on the day of the attack, Ambassador Stevens had begged for more security, only to be denied and then killed by the very men he feared; betrayed by the country Ambassador Stevens swore to protect. Obama wanted so badly to win this election that he allowed Americans to be killed and created a cover up surrounding the attacks.

Effectively, he committed electoral fraud and stole the election; climbing on the backs of four dead American heroes. Now, Obama the Coward sends in his Secretary to speak for him since he is too scared to do it himself.

Last month, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee released a damning report on the Benghazi fiasco. The report says it all; in discussing the security of the embassy and the danger in the country, the report states that Benghazi was “increasingly dangerous and unstable, and that a significant attack against American personnel there was becoming much more likely”. This information did not lead to increased security at the Benghazi consulate or closing the operation altogether. The report called both of these options “more than justified by the intelligence presented”. In fact, the report stops just short of placing all the blame for the failed security on directly on President Obama and Secretary Clinton.

Don’t believe that President Obama and Secretary Clinton were at fault for the security failures in Benghazi? The Senate Report goes on to state that “In the months leading up to the attack on the Temporary Mission Facility in Benghazi, there was a large amount of evidence gathered by the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) and from open sources that Benghazi was increasingly dangerous and unstable, and that a significant attack against American personnel there was becoming much more likely. While this intelligence was effectively shared within the Intelligence Community (IC) and with key officials at the Department of State, it did not lead to a commensurate increase in security at Benghazi nor to a decision to close the American mission there, either of which would have been more than justified by the intelligence presented.”

Let’s not forget, Libya is the same country where President Obama spiked the football after former Libyan dictator Muammar Gadhafi was deposed and later killed. In typical Obama fashion, he took credit for the success of others. Unfortunately, after the celebration, he didn’t bother to properly secure the American Embassy. The US Ambassador killed in the attack, J. Christopher Stevens, wrote in his diary that he was on an Al-Qaeda kill list and feared an imminent terrorist attack. Did the President or Secretary Clinton pay attention to the Ambassador’s concerns? Nope. In fact, the week before the terrorist attack, Obama didn’t bother to attend a single intelligence briefing, despite actionable intelligence warning of a possible active terror cell in Libya ready to strike American interests.

Think that’s bad? Since President Obama was first inaugurated he has skipped over 66% of his intelligence briefings. Unbelievable! In a post 9/11 world, it is unfathomable that a sitting President would care so little for the lives of the American people that he would put their safety on the backburner so that he might keep his job.

There are even reports saying that there was actionable intelligence more than a week before the tragic events transpired. Yet Obama did NOTHING. He allowed Americans to die so that he could save his job. His Presidency will forever be marred with the blood of American martyrs.

Stand with us and demand a FULL Congressional investigation into the Benghazi cover up. President Obama must answer for his actions even if that requires impeachment. Lives have been lost, lies told, and injustice has been served. It is time Congress reigns in the Obama Administration. Barack Obama must not be allowed to use dead American patriots as cannon fodder. Demand CRIMINAL charges for any wrongdoing. We hope that you will stand with us. Our fallen patriots deserve better and we hope you will add your voice to ours so that their sacrifice won’t be made in vain. Fax Congress today and demand a full investigation!

New York Post says Clinton ‘exploded with rage’ in Benghazi testimony
By Liz Goodwin, Yahoo! News | The Lookout – 24 mins ago.

The New York Post took an interesting approach to Hillary Clinton's congressional testimony on the attack in Benghazi, blasting a photo of the secretary of state with fists clenched alongside a headline that screams, "No Wonder Bill's Afraid."

We're not sure what former President Bill Clinton has to do with Clinton's testimony, but the Post features his photo in the corner of the arguably sexist cover, as well. His face appears beside the words: "The lady has some temper! Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton came out breathing fire yesterday at a congressional hearing where pols ripped her handling of the Benghazi debacle."

On Wednesday, Clinton raised her voice and banged her fists against the table for emphasis after Republican Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin questioned her aggressively about the department's actions following the killing of four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, in Benghazi, Libya, on Sept. 11, 2012. Republicans have criticized the Obama administration for at first suggesting that the attack could have been borne out of a spontaneous protest sparked by an anti-Islam video.

"With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans," Clinton responded, suggesting that Johnson was focused on unimportant semantics. "Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk last night who decided to go kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make? It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, Senator."

During the hearing Clinton was also questioned as to why requests for more security at the complex were ignored by midlevel State Department officials, among other things.

Hmmm: John Boehner Knows About the Libyan Gun trafficking
    But Somehow Hillary Doesn’t? (Video)

    January, 24, 2013 — nicedeb

While appearing on Laura Ingraham’s radio show, Thursday morning, Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) was asked about the testimony of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton relative to the Benghazi attacks on 9/11.

    Via Walid Shoebat:
    http://shoebat.com/2013/01/24/audio-...s-not-telling/

At the end of this clip via the Daily Caller http://dailycaller.com/2013/01/23/bo...#ixzz2Iq2JDyGr (h/t Diana West), Boehner addresses the question asked of Clinton by Rand Paul, which involved whether or not the CIA Annex was being used as a hub for gun trafficking.

Here is the relevant portion transcribed:

Ingraham: Mr. Speaker, Rand Paul asked a question about funneling perhaps arms from Turkey through that CIA Annex to be shipped ultimately to Syrian rebels. Hillary Clinton – there was about four or five beats before she answered the question. Do you know anything about this and have you been briefed on any possibilities…?

Boehner: I’m somewhat familiar with the chatter about this and the fact that these arms were moving toward Turkey but most of what I know about this came from a classified source and really can’t elaborate on it.
You can listen to the audio at the link.

So John Boehner, the Speaker of the House is familiar with this classified material, but the Secretary of State is not?

Recall how “shocked” she was at the question: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=WnhuHO68I8Y

    Strains credulity doesn’t it? http://barracknow.blogspot.com/2013/...-twice-in.html

Paul: …Is the United States involved with an procuring of weapons, transfer of weapons, buying, selling, anyhow transferring weapons to Turkey out of Libya?

Clinton: To Turkey? I will have to take that question for the record. Nobody’s ever raised that with me.

Paul: It’s been in news reports that ships have been leaving from Libya and that they may have weapons, and what I would like to know is, the annex that was close by – were they involved with procuring, buying, selling weapons, and are these weapons being transferred to other countries? Any countries, Turkey included?

Clinton: Well Senator, you’ll have to direct that question to the agency that ran the Annex. I will see what information is available…

Paul: You’re saying you don’t know?

Clinton: I do not know. I have no information on that.

She’s a world class liar, is she not? But we shouldn’t expect any less from a Clinton.

Me on Twitter, yesterday during the hearing: https://twitter.com/NiceDeb/status/294117780184236032

on doth protest too much on Rand Paul’s question about weapons from Libya to Syria via Turkey. She’s never heard of such a thing!

    — Nice Deb (@NiceDeb) January 23, 2013

Shouldn’t Republicans be pressing this issue a little harder given the possibility that our people in Benghazi were killed with weapons we supplied the jihadis? That seems somewhat important…

    SEE ALSO:

Robert Spencer, FrontPageMagazine: Hillary Lets the Jihadist Cat Out of the Bag:
    http://frontpagemag.com/2013/robert-...-_v4xY.twitter

After four years of pretending there is no jihad against the free world, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton blurted out the truth during her testimony on the Benghazi jihad massacre Wednesday: “We now face a spreading jihadist threat,” she said, adding: http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/...5e7_print.html “We have to recognize this is a global movement.”

We do? Yet the Obama administration has for years steadfastly and repeatedly denied both that there was a jihadist threat at all and that it was a global movement. So far has the Obama administration been from acknowledging that there was a jihad threat that less than two months into Obama’s first term, on March 16, 2009, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano noted proudly that in her first testimony to Congress, http://www.spiegel.de/international/...-a-613330.html “I did not use the word ‘terrorism,’ I referred to ‘man-caused’ disasters. That is perhaps only a nuance, but it demonstrates that we want to move away from the politics of fear toward a policy of being prepared for all risks that can occur.”
Keep reading. Spencer has a long memory and has been keeping tabs.

RCP: Krauthammer: Why Can’t We Talk To The Witnesses From The Benghazi Attack? http://www.realclearpolitics.com/vid...zi_attack.html

The panel discusses Clinton’s testimony on Libya and the question that she did and did not answer.

Let me see, I think I have this correct: Ron Paul’s son accused Secretary of State Hillary Clinton of, a) culpability in the death of Ambassador Stevens and 3 others, b) inadequate leadership and c) covering up a covert US arms smuggling operation to Syrian “freedom fighters.” Wow! That would make a great movie. It’s sort of like the Iran Contra guns-for-hostages Affair except that the guns went to the bad guys, there weren’t any hostages until after the gun deal went down, and the State Controlled Media doesn’t think it’s important enough to report on.

And what is it about Big Guy’s Administration and guns? They can’t seem to keep track of them unless they belong to U.S. citizens.

    comments

I think Rand Paul misstated that question when he inserted Turkey into it, without saying…..”through Turkey into Syria”. That is when Hillary repeated…….”To Turkey”?. As if the question was meant that we were shipping guns “to” Turkey.

There was another period during that “love fest” yesterday pertaining to Guns, when Hillary admitted that guns were being run “from” Libya into “Algeria”. Those are the weapons we provided to the insurgents to overthrow Khadaffy. We absolutely knew at the time, that some of them were going into al-queda’s hands, and most likely were used in the attack against our Consulate and the murder of our people.
