What does human nature mean to you?

Human nature is a myth used to keep things as they are.

Illegal Aliens Awaiting Deportation Got Preferred Jobs in U.S. Prisons
    September 25, 2013 - 8:57 AM

(CNSNews.com) - Federal Prison Industries (FPI), the government-owned corporation that operates factories in federal prisons, employed 37 inmates as of June 2012 who had been issued final deportation orders and were therefore ineligible for FPI employment.

Although those 37 illegal alien inmates represented less than one percent of Federal Prison Industries’ total inmate employees, the audit shows a "weakness in FPI's internal controls," says a recent report from the Justice Department's Office of Inspector General (OIG). http://www.justice.gov/oig/reports/2...ctor%20General

"We found that FPI’s internal controls did not ensure that aliens who were ordered deported were removed from FPI employment as required," the report said.

Federal Prison Industries says once the matter came to its attention, it immediately removed 35 of the 37 deportable inmates from FPI employment. Of the remaining two inmates, one claimed he had been misidentified, and one had already stopped working at FPI.

Of the 12,394 inmates FPI employed as of June 2012, 1,580 (approximately 13 percent) were not U.S. citizens, but only 37 had received final deportation orders, which should have precluded them from holding FPI jobs.

The OIG report noted that federal regulations prohibit FPI from employing any inmate who is currently under an order of deportation, exclusion, or removal. Those inmates must be re-assigned to a non-FPI work assignment. (All sentenced federal inmates are required to work in some capacity, but not all inmates are employed by FPI.)

Although FPI operates in a business environment, it is primarily a correctional program to prepare inmates for release by helping them acquire job skills and to reduce idle time while in prison.

FPI jobs are in high demand because they offer higher wages than other prison work assignments, ranging from $0.23 to $1.15 an hour, the audit said. Inmates apply for FPI jobs on a voluntary basis and are placed on waiting lists in the order their applications are received.

As of June 2012, FPI operated 83 factories staffed by inmates at federal correctional institutions throughout the United States. FPI inmates produce a variety of products and services, including office furniture; military apparel; communications equipment; vehicle repair and retrofitting; cabinets, lockers and shelving; electronics recycling; and they also staff call centers.

FPI’s mission is to employ and provide job skills training to the greatest practicable number of inmates confined within the Bureau of Prisons, but the audit found that it is not meetings its goals:

For example, the audit found that FPI employed only 12,394 in June 2012, just 7 percent of the eligible inmate population and its lowest inmate employment in over 25 years. (To have met its 25 percent employment goal for June 2012, FPI would have needed to provide work for over 44,000 inmates.)

Because FPI does not receive direct taxpayer funding, it must generate operating revenue to remain a self-sustaining program.

But here again, there are problems: The audit said Federal Prison Industries has struggled financially in recent years, reporting average net losses of $31 million annually from fiscal year 2009-2012 on average net sales of $753 million.

FPI said a combination of factors had contributed to its recent financial struggles. Among them are policies designed to reduce FPI’s impact on the private sector; the wind-down of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan (the Defense Department is FPI’s biggest customer); the economic downturn; and losses in key product lines.

The Justice Department Office of the Inspector General says it conducted the audit to determine what factors have led to the significant reduction of inmate work within FPI, and FPI’s plans to maintain and create work opportunities for inmates. Illegal aliens were not the focus of the audit.

Hard to believe that Senate Democrats defeated an amendment to a bill that prevents cuts to Military retirees.
Another nail in their coffin come next November.....

    Read this: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013...o-budget-bill/

"By blocking my amendment, they voted to cut pensions for wounded warriors," he said afterwards. "Senators in this chamber have many valid ideas for replacing these pension cuts, including my proposal to close the tax welfare loophole for illegal filers, and all deserved a fair and open hearing. But they were denied

When we reported this morning how Senate Democrats blocked an attempt to prevent $6 billion in cuts for disabled veterans by stopping illegal aliens from claiming $4.2 billion PER YEAR in fraudulent child tax credits -- many of you wrote that you were stunned and had no idea this insanity existed.

Please WATCH THIS VIDEO NOW which exposes the outrageous mass-theft of American taxpayers by illegal invaders, which Harry Reid & Co. kept in place last night on the backs of our wounded warriors.

This government is dysfunctional either on purpose or not. If this administration does not do anything, then they are abetting criminals and therefore they are criminals and should be prosecuted no matter who they are in bed with!

I found out today, that due to these cuts, as well as other details, I must bring my deceased mothers husband here to be with us. The woman told me, that they knew this was coming over 6 months ago and been going over everything with a fine tooth comb so they can retract veteran pensions. They could have told me so I would have had more time to prepare. A heads up 3 weeks ago then telling me today before Jan.1st. UGH!

Illegal Aliens Complain They Get Student Loans Instead of GRANTS
By Top Right News on January 7, 2014

Outrageous. But not at all surprising. Illegal aliens, who broke our nation’s laws to come here and stay here, yet receive benefits that millions of American citizens don’t get — in-state tuition — are now complaining that they don’t get it for FREE.

That’s right, despite the University of California system’s generous and shameful pledge to help illegal aliens earn a college degree — at the same time they are slashing aid to citizen students to the bone — those illegal students are complaining that the aid will come by way of student loans instead of grants. http://www.thecollegefix.com/post/15192/

As UC officials discuss specifics on how the $5 million UC President Janet Napolitano recently budgeted to support illegal alien students will be allocated – much of which will go to student loan programs, it’s been decided - some student activists have bemoaned that it’s not fair to strap stressed out, disadvantaged students in the country illegally with college debt.

“We think that the 5 million dollars will have an impact if the money goes directly into the pockets of undocumented students,” By Any Means Necessary campus activist group leader David Douglasstold The Daily Californian in an email.
The Californian goes on to report: http://www.dailycal.org/2013/12/23/c...id-initiative/

Sophomore Ivan Villasenor Madriz, an undocumented student, spoke with representatives from the UC Office of the President and other undocumented student representatives across the UC campuses in a conference call the evening of Dec. 18.

Madriz said the students raised concerns about the use of the funds for loans rather than other types of aid such as grants and work-study. He said loans should not be considered “aid” because they are only increasing student debt and putting more pressure on students. “The loans that are given out are making one hole to fill another,” he said. “It defeats the purpose of so-called ‘financial aid.’ ”
California — America’s Sanctuary State — going down the rathole of debt to pay for millions of illegal aliens, while schools, hositals and social services go bankrupt. This is what will happen to America should the Obama-Schumer-Rubio-Ryan amnesty become law.

Just hours before he became embroiled in a scandal that threatens to derail his presidential ambitions, NJ Gov. Chis Christie made a well-publicized appearance to promote his signing of special tuition breaks for illegal aliens.

As unpopular and controversial as was that decision, Christie as usual couldn’t help but throw his (ample) weight around, accusing of HEARTLESSNESS those who opposed giving a tax-payer funded handout to those breaking our laws just to be here According to a recent poll, 81 PERCENT of Americans oppose it. And this is who the GOP elites think will win in 2016? Ahem, fat chance.

Opponents of In-State Tuition for Illegal Aliens are ‘Cold Hearted’
By Top Right News on January 10, 2014

Just hours before he became embroiled in a mega-scandal over political dirty tricks in Fort Lee by his office and staff that threatens to derail his presidential ambitions, NJ Gov. Chis Christie made a well-publicized appearance to promote his signing of in-state tuition for illegal aliens.

As unpopular and controversial as was that decision, Christie as usual couldn’t help but throw his (ample) weight around, accusing of heartlessness those who opposed giving a tax-payer funded handout to those breaking our laws just to be here.

Surrounded by Hispanic Democrat politicians, students, and amnesty advocates, Christie praised his own signing of his state’s so-called DREAM Act on Tuesday, hailing the new law as an economic “investment”and an example of “bi-partisan action”.

Christie made his appearance in Union City, which is 80% Hispanic and considered one of the most corrupt cities in the nation — home base of scandal-plagued Democrat Senator Robert Menendez. The appearance rewarded the Democrat mayor of Union City, who endorsed Christie for re-election last year. (To see how Christie “rewards” those who declined to endorse him, see what happened to the mayor of Fort Lee).

Of his handout to illegals, Christie said:
“Our job, I believe, as a government, is to give every one of these children who we have already invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in, an opportunity to maximize the investment for their benefit, for the benefit of their families, for the benefit of our state and the country,” Christie said.
And then the ever-nasty Christie couldn’t help besmirching the character of those who opposed the bill:

”Even if you’re cold-hearted about this, you can agree with the common sense of the economics: An investment made should be an investment maximized,” he said.
Get that? If you have a problem with handouts for those here illegally, providing an incentive for illegal aliens to come to New Jersey, and hurting New Jersey taxpayers an students to make it happen, you are heartless.

And to this former Federal prosecutor, a handout for those who are violating Federal immigration law, is fine and dandy, so long as he can use it to pander for votes.

But as Christie is in full Hispandering mode, he might wish to remember what happened to the lst GOP candidate who accused those in his own party of heartlessness for opposing tuition breaks for illegals — it derailed him. Rick Perry said in 2011 GOP debate that those who opposed tuition breaks for illegal aliens “had no heart”. He was booed soundly, and his standing evaporated within days.

That is because 81% of voters oppose in-state tuition for illegals. It’s a political loser, as will be Chris Christie, if Republicans are foolish enough to nominate him in 2016.

why should the over taxed citizens be penalized for obeying the law while those who break the law reap the benefits? chris christie you might be right on some things but on this, you are totally out in left field!
