I'm sure we can all find judgement in things, even petty things such as what Michelle Obama wears.

Picking apart someone's looks is just shallow. In the scheme of things how is bad taste a sin against humanity or altering the course of history? lol. People didn't want Sarah Palin to be judged on her looks or fashion sense so why is it okay to do the same to Michelle Obama? : This has nothing to do with Palin quitting her job, once again.
If we all had the same taste we'd look like a bunch of Stepfords.
Did we all call each other today? I'm wearing pj pants and a t-shirt with a house full of people. I ate too much and needed comfort. To my defense, they are red, white and blue.

On this thread there have been many that are picking apart Sarah Palin.
Do you realize that most of these attacks on her were from the left.
The attacks on her children including a special needs child.
There have been frivolous charges that she has had to defend herself from that have already cost her family a half million dollars. So many of you are the first to criticise her and yet she has been through way too much already.
So I hope the little critique of how Obama's wife dresses woke some of you up to realize just how judgmental you are.

I don't need to be taught a lesson in such a manner. I really dislike when people answer an attack with another attack. It completely makes me tune out. Especially considering no one here is saying nasty things about her. We didn't photoshop pics, tear her kids up or any of that. If anything, we've all agreed that family stuff is out of bounds.
Seriously, she's complaining about criticism and "politics of destruction" when she infact participated in some dirty campaign smears. Remember the rally where people were chanting, "kill obama" and she ignored them? McCain at least had the stones to stop the crowd's hateful chant. Obama made this comment;
Quote:
|
"I have heard some of the news on this and so let me be as clear as possible. I have said before and I will repeat again, I think people's families are off limits, and people's children are especially off limits. This shouldn't be part of our politics, it has no relevance to governor Palin's performance as a governor or her potential performance as a vice president. And so I would strongly urge people to back off these kinds of stories. You know my mother had me when she was 18. And how family deals with issues and teenage children that shouldn't be the topic of our politics and I hope that anybody who is supporting me understands that is off limits."
|
I could go on and on about the all of reasons I dislike her politics, etc... but it's not going to matter where some are concerned.
We have to repeatedly hear about all the negative things a small segment of the left have done. It works both ways.
I'll say it again, there's a small segment society that tries badmouthing and creating controversy and when you're politician you know that this happens, it's nothing new. A politician needs to take the high road and stop whining. People don't like whiners. If you want to play with the big boys wear your armor and act like a stable, mature adult.
ETA. While I'm at it, what real ticks me off is every time Palin said or did something boneheaded and was criticized, people used the excuse that, the media was picking on her and her family. The same excuse gets old after awhile.
Now that I've vented, I still do like my conservative friends.

Generalizing the whole or even the majority of the left with those idiots who photo shopped pictures and trashed her family is like generalizing the whole or even the majority of the right with the white supremacists who call Obama the n word or or crack jokes about coon hunting.
Also, if you want to try to teach someone a lesson about how being judgemental is wrong perhaps you should remove the plank from your own eye first.

Maybe because the resignation is current news and the past has lead up to what's happening now? If Sarah Palin was randomly brought up without a reason, yeah, I'd agree with you. A lot of the past stuff is in response to other posts. She made the choice to remain in the public eye post election.

I could give 2 rabbit turds what Michelle Obama wears.. I am more worried about squeezing into a freaking B cup lately..Waking us up is apparently not happening since not a one of us 'shopped any pics so I think you need a different audience to whine to about it..
The fact that you HAD to post a pic and pick her apart shows how obsessed you are over the Obamas.. And childish no less. Seriously, my 12 year old doesn't even do that crap. He's more mature I guess. *shrug
Palin quit. There may be an indictment in the works. BABAGOI.

You know, if I had worn an outfit like that, my daughter would have said "mommy you look beautiful" no matter how silly I looked. So, I'm sure Michelle Obama's girls loved her outfit and probably said the same thing. Thing is it doesn't matter what either of them (Michelle or Palin) wore, but at least Mrs. Obama paid for her own clothes as well as her children's clothes during the election, didn't have "frivolous" charges brought up by an "average Joe" and end up re-paying for said clothes.
Sometime, you just have to learn when to shut your pie-hole about dumb schit.
