Has any politician in history been attacked they way Sarah Palin has.
I guess that is part of the good old Chicago way.
We all remember how viciously the Obama campaign attacked her including sending over a thousand lawyers up to Alaska to try to dig up dirt.
That's the Chicago way.

Deflection perhaps? "Poor Sarah" is a big girl and if she's as strong and such a ballbuster as some thinks she is, the crap should roll off her back. Politics is a dirty game and you should be prepared to be vetted, put in the frying pan, skewered and so on. Part of her mistake was letting people know that they were getting under her skin. I agreed that the kids should be off limits and she had the right to get pissed over that but the other stuff is part of the game. Stop whining and don't let them see you sweat. She's not the first that's endured endless attacks and she won't be the last. It goes with the sharkpit that is politics.
ETA There have been lots of careers ruined due to the digging and attacks. I won't go into details since this is about Palin but Geraldine Ferraro and her family were shredded to bits when she ran for VP.

You could if you so desired. Speculating by hoping that she nor one of her family is unwell is a lot different then speculating that someone is the cause of her resignation, no? LOL. Pepperpot, I think we'd do well to take over her position, lol. We're all getting too good with this political speak.

Speculation is speculation.....maybe she's pregnant again?
Obama or any other politician or party's actions could be speculated too. It's not out of the realm of possibilities. If Palin feared her daughters would be zapped up by aliens therefore she resigned........I'd have a hard time entertaining that...... Obama and such....not so much.... it's possible....

Hell, we could be here all night speculating. Has she been to Argentina lately? lol
On a serious note. I don't understand why she didn't make a statement as to why she was stepping down. She could have said that she was doing it for her kids or something and people would have respected and believed that because of the issues she has there. Instead, leaving shrouded in a cloak of mystery, feeds the media frenzy...the thing that she supposedly detested.

Why? Because she is an a public servant. She owes the people who voted her to this position some sort of explanation. She was not a private citizen.
