Huh? Not sure how old you are but I am almost 40 and don't remember a time when some people didn't make fun of family members of politicians. Hilary took a lot of hits when Clinton was President. Chelsea was not off limits either. Letterman's joke was in poor taste but he's a comedian and was trying (poorly) to be funny. What's Rush's and McCain's excuse for bashing Chelsea Clinton when she was 13? If those attacks weren't vicious enough, what about Amy Carter? Jimmy Carter put up with FAR worse attacks on his family than Sarah Palin has but he didn't quit.

For me personally I think it's wrong to attack a politician's family. Family should be off limits. We didn't elect Obama's kids, we elected Obama. Ditto Palin, McCain, Bush, etc. My personal opinion of Bristol Palin's unwed teen pregnancy has no bearing whatsoever on my views of Sarah Palin's politics. I don't care if the person is left, right, or middle - family should be out of bounds. It would be nice if some of the people whining about attacks on Palin's family didn't show their hypocrisy and double standards so blatantly. I don't care what Palin wears. I don't care what Michelle Obama wears. How petty can you get?

I dont remember anyone on here remarking on what she was wearing as far as being "stylish" or not. What I do remember about the clothes was the amount of money spent on them and if they would be returned. As far as that went, most of us on here didnt even give a crap about that either.

I love that, "Michelle looks horrible with the way she dresses and i'm telling you all this so you can see how horrible and judgemental you all are" uhh huh lol

They went after Sarah for things that were lies and that was wrong.
There are enough facts about the Obamas that seem to be dismissed by the main stream media.

Just look at how he is doing the opposite of what would help the economy.
I know he is very inexperienced and has absolutely no business experience what so ever but then you look at things like Saul Alinsky's handbook and you realize he is doing most of this on purpose and just following Saul Alinsky's handbook.

By the way his wife became fair game when she spoke the way she did about our country. The way she said what she did about this country she has no right to be in our white house and she definitely is no lady.

For once I agree with you on this BECAUSE I don't think she should quit IF she quit for all the personal attacks. I do feel she got alot more. Mostly because she is not so much in the "public" eye these days (PRE-quitting) and is still being attacked. For that I don't understand WHY they continue to sling mud at her?
Unless they are trying to draw attention AWAY from the current admin.
Because to me it really makes no sense to keep attacking her when she was no longer in the "limelight".
I also don't think Obamas kids get attacked in the MEDIA like his supporters keep claiming. Blogger and people on the internet maybe. But theres a difference between MEDIA on internet. MEDIA is seen by millions daily. A webapage may only get a few millions hits over time etc.
And they are certainly NOT made fun of like Palins were in the media etc.
I also agree family should be left alone. But it has never been, NOR I am sure never will be that way.

I've never seen the jokes get so nasty. Rape jokes and such. Guess it goes with the times. Obama should be glad his kids are still little and not teens. You just do not go there. Also, making fun of the handicap is not right either, even though some in our society think it is funny.

Those are the jokes Palin complained about, not the million others thrown at her. There is a line we have to step up to and say enough---don't go there.

Her clothes were the fault of the RNC. They put her in them and when they got criticized they threw her under the bus. I am sure if she decides to run for president she will chose her staff a lot better.

I understand when a party loses there has to be a scapegoat and Palin is an easy target. If you think she can't take the heat then you try to be the butt of every joke since they announced her to run and see how long you can take it. Now she won't take her kids being run over and she is too sensitive. WTF.

You do realize your 1st sentence chastising people for attacking Palin with falsehoods is EXACTLY what you are doing to the Obamas in the rest of your post right? How many times did you call him a Muslim? Maybe if people like you didn't harp on the lies and falsehoods about Obama the media would have more time to focus on the facts. Instead they keep having to hunt down and report on things like Muslim ties, birth certificates, and whether or not his father's uncle's 2nd cousin's best friend was there when he was born in Kenya. Let the truth speak for itself.

I don't like Obama. I don't trust him. I'm glad we are moving out of the country and think this is the perfect time to do so. Frankly, I'd be more than a little bit scared right now if we hadn't gotten this opportunity. The US is in dire straits. Between the economy, N. Korea, actual corruption, etc there is enough to focus on without having to delve into the pathetically trivial things like whether or not Michelle Obama's dress is ugly.

I wonder why his first radio address was to the Muslim people.
I wonder why he didn't even know the correct number of states in the United States.
I doubt he is a Christian, just look into the hateful church he attended.
Plus he has made comments that you don't need the Lord Jesus.
Christians know that Jesus is the way and the only way.

Sarah Palin not under FBI investigation, agency spokesman says
The former GOP vice presidential candidate's surprise resignation as Alaska governor had set off speculation, including rumors of a pending federal corruption probe or charges.
By Josh Meyer
July 5, 2009
Reporting from Washington -- A day after Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin resigned, a federal official in her home state dismissed one potential explanation for her sudden and unexpected resignation: a rumored FBI investigation into the former Wasilla mayor on public corruption charges.

Despite rumors of a looming controversy after the Republican governor's surprise announcement Friday that she would leave office this month, some of them published in the blogosphere, the FBI's Alaska spokesman said the bureau had no investigation into Palin for her activities as governor, as mayor or in any other capacity.

Video: Sarah Palin is resigning..."There is absolutely no truth to those rumors that we're investigating her or getting ready to indict her," Special Agent Eric Gonzalez said in a phone interview Saturday. "It's just not true." He added that there was "no wiggle room" in his comments for any kind of inquiry.

The FBI has been active in mounting corruption investigations in Alaska, some to see whether local, state and federal lawmakers illegally received favors, money or free construction work from businesses or people seeking favors.

The most high-profile case was against former Republican Sen. Ted Stevens, whose conviction last year on charges of lying on Senate ethics forms stemmed from charges that a politically connected developer had done work on his house illegally.

The Obama administration Justice Department threw out the charges in April, saying prosecutors had failed to turn over potentially helpful information to Stevens' defense team. Some bloggers have speculated that such an FBI investigation was underway on Palin, who still had 18 months left in her term.

Also Saturday, the former GOP vice presidential nominee posted a statement on her Facebook page, not offering specifics but indicating that she had broad goals after she leaves the governor's office.

She did not say whether she planned to run for president in 2012, but criticized media coverage of her announcement:

"How sad that Washington and the media will never understand; it's about country. And though it's honorable for countless others to leave their positions for a higher calling and without finishing a term, of course we know by now, for some reason a different standard applies for the decisions I make."

True Christians walk the walk, not just talk the talk...you know, like, um, let me see........not criticizing other peoples' clothes, looks, kids, etc. Just for an example, you understand.
