Karl Malden, who vaulted to movie prominence in his first role with an Academy Award for best supporting actor for “A Streetcar Named Desire.”
He is perhaps best widely known for his starring role as Lt. Mike Stone on “The Streets of San Francisco” TV series.
The actor died at his home in Los Angeles on Wednesday. He was 97

A Streetcar named Desire is one of my all time favorite films. He lived a long, full life. RIP.

Yes, he lived a long, full like, and hopelly he was in good health for most of it.

I heard this on the way home from the grocery store. I had the same thought. He did live a long time though. I love The Streets Of San Francisco growing up.
