Angry Arson & attempted murder gets man 23 months to 10 years

so if you attempt to kill someone and burn down their house in Michigan, you can expect to get less than 2 years???

what the hell??

if my child tried to set me on fire, and I survived, you can bet the SAFEST place for him/her would be in prison, because otherwise he/she WOULD NEED A COFFIN--because I would not fail in my mission!!

Battle Creek Man Tried to Set Mom on Fire

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (AP) - A 23-year-old Battle Creek man accused of burning down his mother's house and trying to kill her by dousing her with gasoline has been sentenced to 23 months to 10 years in prison.

Timothy Bouffard pleaded no contest Feb. 9 to reduced charges of arson of a dwelling and assault with a weapon.

The original charges included unlawful imprisonment and assault with intent to murder.

Calhoun County Circuit Judge Conrad Sindt sentenced Bouffard Monday, telling him it was "an extremely, extremely serious matter to set fire to the home" while his mother was inside.

Linda Bouffard was unhurt in the Sept. 8 fire and told Sindt her son didn't mean to harm her.

The story's awful but this line from you; "here mom try this new perfume it's really cool, it smells like gas" is so funny.
