Men like that are not really men at all.
If they had any manhood at all they would be able to treat their women with respect and as equals.
These men must realize just how pathetic they are and the only way they can keep a woman is to treat her like a slave.
This is not a peaceful religion at all or even a religion. These are a bunch of brutal barbarians that aren't capable of living in the modern world. I think they are monstrous and pathetic and hopefully if some of their women read these forums the women run like heck to get away from these sorry excuses for men.

somebody needs to wake these blind followers up. i understand free will, freedom of religion an all that but give it a 100 years or so...........they are going to be ruling this land with their religion because everyone is so liberal lately............the trend is heading that way. what does the Islamic law say about homosexuality? about women? about incest? Kill them all? that's what i thought. people ought to wake the f up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!kiss a Christian because we will pray for you ( me included....i need prayers i have my own demons). They will just cut your dick off, whip the **** out of you, or just flat out kill you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
edited to add that i don't sound very Christian like but my WORDS are out of frustration. i'm mad, hurt...........just can't believe the **** they will do. it don't make me any less of a beleiver in JESUS..............i just happen to cuss everynow and then when i'm mad. seriously.............a Christian will pray for you when you when you sin/break a major law or deal with you appropriatley in HUMANE WAY............they do not.
i will add though that i agree with the punishment they dole out for incest and molestation. at least they got that **** right. kill them or cut the d off. they really got that one right. they need to work on everything else. NO HIGHER POWER would punish another human for receiving bread from another HUMAN being. maybe they need a conference or something. i'll offer to do (LOL) it but i'll be packing. i will not hide my face and will not shup up till it's all said.

Actually the reason that things like this upset us so much is that we are good people who have a hard time understanding such horrible abuse.
I know that I could never live under their law.

Afghan supreme court upholds 20-year sentence for journalist accused of blasphemy
Sharia Alert from Afghanistan's highest court, and an update on this story. "Afghanistan: Court upholds jail term for 'blasphemous' reporter," from AdnKronos International, March 9:
Quote:
Kabul, 9 March (AKI) - Afghanistan's Supreme Court has upheld a 20-year jail term for blasphemy handed to Afghan journalist Sayed Parwez Kambakhsh, who claimed men and women were equal. Kambakhsh's brother said the family had just learned of the closed-door ruling delivered a month ago in the absence of Yaqub Kambakhsh, his lawyer or family members, the Information Safety and Freedom media watchdog reported on Monday.
"We thought there would be some justice in the capital of Afghanistan and even at the highest level of the judicial system," wrote Yaqub Kambakhsh in a letter sent to Information Safety and Freedom. "But their silent decision seems that first of all there is no justice in Afghanistan at any level. "Kambakhsh is the latest victim."
|
Twenty-eight year-old Kambakhsh's troubles began in 1997, when he wrote in his blog that "extremist mullahs" had distorted the true meaning of Islam's holy book or Koran.
We hear that a lot. But Kambakhsh took two extra steps that self-styled reformer/apologists seldom if ever do: Criticizing specific Islamic teachings, and to a Muslim audience. If he kept it vague and sought a primarily non-Muslim audience, he might be on prime-time cable news instead of in an Afghan jail.
Quote:
"If a Muslim man may have four wives, why shouldn't a wife have four husbands," he wrote.
He was arrested on blasphemy charges in the northern town of Mazar-i-Sharif in 2007 and in October that year a local court condemned him to death.
The death sentence was commuted to life imprisonment following pressure from international human rights organisations.
Yaqub Kambakhsh visited Italy and other European countries last month to try and muster support for his brother's release and fears for his safety in prison.
"We, Parwez's relations, his colleaues and his lawyers fear he could be murdered in prison, possibly by poisoning - he wouldn't be the first such victim," he stated in an interview with Italian daily Corriere della Sera.
Corriere della Sera quoted Italy's under-secretary for foreign affairs, Alfredo Mantica as claiming the government was concerned about Kambakhsh, but considered it better to intervene after presidential elections due in August 2009 to avoid "politicising" the case.

"It's a fact that Afghanistan's courts are strongly influenced by the religious authorities," Mantica stated.

But remember ... they are the "Religion of Peace" and *we* are all intolerant fanatics ....

Betty Mahmoody writes for a site where she describes the religion of peace, but I can't remember where it is. It's a very interesting take on how many Islamic groups are pulling the wool over our eyes.
