Teen Arrested in Bunny Beating
Last Update: 12:02 pm
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WXYZ) A teen is expected to face animal cruelty charges for the beating death of his girlfriend's rabbit.
The 17-year-old reportedly beat the animal to death with a baseball bat.
Police say the incident happened after a fight Sunday night at the girlfriend's home.
There are reports that the girlfriend smashed two of the teen's marijuana pipes with the bat. Police say that's when the boyfriend attacked the rabbit with the bat and punched her in the mouth.
The boyfriend was arrested a few blocks away from the girl's home.

2 true. A punch in the mouth is not nearly as bad as it could have been. That guy sounds like a real nutjob.

I am sure his "green" parents are proud of their 17 year old son!
(for the record, Ann Arbor is a little loopy -- and has more 'eco-friendly' PETA people than almost the entire state of Michigan)

I agree -- I did not show this thread to my 17 year old dd -- because she would have been devastated to read it...
domesticated rabbits are some of God's most INNOCENT creatures -- they arent aggressive and like human babies, they totally rely on their caregiver for love, comfort and life.

A friend and I while growing up both got rabbits one year for Easter. They were the funniest, cutest animals we ever had. They both lived for around 6 years. Sounds silly now but they were like real live dolls to us both. We'd dress them up, take them out on walks.
They were great pets. I don't understand the guy. He seriously has a problem. Who knows what provoked him.....I'm sorry the rabbit died....but I'm very glad it wasn't the girl.

This is a picture of my daughter holding the rabbit. Unfortunately he passed away a couple of years ago. I got him for my son for his 6th birthday so he lived a long time.
