So many are going in thinking he can fix all their problems or voting for him for the WRONG reason (which is the right). But I Truly believe with my last breath that most Americans will live to regret it with 6 months if he gets into office.

Seems that the "coming liberal thugocracy" has already landed at BBS. Looking over the past few days, several threads have been closed; not because of what was said but because of what "MIGHT BE SAID" ... Is one of our mods working a sideline with Miss Cleo ?

Looking at the titles of the threads there is a definte trend to pro-Obama, liberal issues ...

... and in fact it seems that the liberals can express almost any opinion but if a conservative objects then they are instructed to "deal with it". If a liberal makes a complaint, the offending post is edited or the thread closed. Seems that some here even act as "agents provator" ... make inflamatory comments then report to the mods in order to have threads closed rather then have them open for discussion and sharing of opinions. Ironic how it mirrors the "Fairness Doctrine" policies, eh ?

I think a lot of the closed posts have been because a certain member brings a discussion over from another thread that was already closed and always asks why her thread was closed, etc... thus stirring the pot. I've noticed the pattern in the last few days of this person doing it multiple times. Unfortunately someone's lack of self-control has ended several good threads.

Hippie has even stated that she was closing threads because of what MIGHT BE SAID ... that hardly seems fair. I know that several complaints by the more conservative members ( myself included ) were not responded to or were handled dismissively .... "you were insulted ... no one insulted you ... if you were insulted that is your own problem... deal it ... big girl panties ..." that kind of thing...

I know you didn't get those responses from me , except the 'big girl panty' one was in my sig. I can't sit here every minute and close/delete/edit posts, so when I think a thread is going in that direction, I will close it. It has always been that way.

And no, we won't edit/punish for everything that is reported. Something will be done IF we think it is necessary. (which is also how it has always been and how it stated in the rules.)

Also, more threads about Obama are closed, because more threads about are posted to start with.

All I know to say is that if you don't like and/or don't want to follow the rules, then don't post.

The rules are the same for everyone. If someone calls you a name...report it. Use either the 'report a post' button, which works about 50% of the time, or PM one of the mods. And no matter who it is, it will taken care of. I edit a LOT of things on here that I wholeheartedly agree with, but it broke a rule, so I edit it out. BUT we cannot edit every little snarky remark on here, we'd never get it done.

But the mods are not going to sit and monitor a thread 24/7. If I have to be offline for ahwhile and it looks like it's getting ugly, then I will close it. No matter who posted it or what it is about. That way I don't come back to a 100 page thread of BS to edit.

And if you want to turn this thread into an argument about whether the mods (or just me, in particular) are fair, then I will close this one also.
