Smile Patchi Link

Here's the link to Patchi... apparently it's a chocolate company that uses real chocolate and cocoa beans/butter for it's main ingrediant.

World's most expensive chocolates
July 16, 2008 10:47 AM

Costing more per chocolate than most people will ever pay for a box - these are the world's most expensive chocolates.

Selling for an eye-watering £5,000 per box of 49 chocs it means each one will cost a whopping £102 when they go on sale at Harrods in August. (5000 pounds = $9,109 US Dollars. 102 pounds = $185.82 US Dollars) HOLY SCHIT!

Makers Patchi say each of the chocolates is handmade and finished with either a gold and Swarovkski crystal flower, or a delicate hand made silk rose.

They come in a suede box and separated by gold and platinum dividers and have been produced for the famous London department store which currently has a ‘High Life’ theme.

A spokesman for Lebanese company Patchi Chocolates said: "This box is aimed at customers who want to make a bold and memorable statement."
A spokesman for the Harrods Food Halls added: "With an international clientele that is constantly seeking out the new and exclusive, Patchi’s Grand Indulgence will appeal to those who don’t just love the taste of chocolate, but how it is presented."

I have to show this to my mother. She bought me a Mr Goodbar (one of my favorites) a couple of weeks ago & I told her that it tasted different. I wasn't sure what was wrong, it just didn't taste right.

so I have to wonder, their tactic of changing their recipes but still charging the same price --

I would think that it would be a negative impact.

(reminds me of Coca Cola -- when they made New Coke)

I wonder how long it will take them to go back to their old recipes.

If Hershey changes their standard *chocolate* bars it's time for me to change over to Dove chocolate. Unless of course they are using some fake ass crap as well. This really puts a bee in my bonnet. OMG don't mess with my chocolate!

They are smaller than a regular Hershey and have huge words that say WHOLE Bean, made from the whole cocoa bean with 40% less sugar. I found them at my Grocery Outlet today for 3 for 1.00. The bar is enough for me to eat 1/2 at a time so it would be 80 cals, its 160 for the whole thing. Of course I eat the other half not to long after

My problem with anything is control. I can make sugar free pudding and spray it with fat free redi whip and then sit and eat the whole damn thing...lol I mean the whole bowl and the whole can...omg I am awful....BUT I am maintaining my weight loss even still!
