Pathetic.

I never justified anything to my knowledge & I'm not making excuses for his drinking. I know that is wrong & my family didn't do as much as we should have to get him help. No, I'm not a mother but I do have one.

Obiviously my post makes you angry, yet no one tells you not to read it.
I'm not whining about how my brother is being charged for killing an unborn baby and how some posts made me mad because "those charges just aren't right, she didn't have her blinker on, he tried to avoid an accident, blah blah blah".

What would make people feel better is if people who drove drunk and took innocent lives would own up to what they did and accept responsibility for it...that includes the drunk's family.

In your first post, you did everything but outright blame the victim for the accident. She didn't use her turn signal, she was causing an accident.

You justified him slamming into her car while trying to pass her in a no passing zone and you made the excuse that he wasn't drunk.

She has a right to comment on a thread about a family member. Just as everyone here had the right. Family members will stand by their loved ones. No sense in beating her up over something she didn't do.

The general public will go after the family members. I guess because people can't raise hell with the guilty party, so they go after the family & it may also be guilty by association.

The guy needs to pay dearly for taking an innocent unborn child's life away before it had a chance to take a breath.

There is no way in Hell I would defend any family member for DUI and taking a life... Ever. He should have known better

I don't care even if it was my kid that did it or not. It is inexcusable.

Many people say it until they walk in those shoes.

Being a mother, you would stand by your child. Not saying you would be protesting his/her innocence. Not to many family members walk away from their loved ones.

I would stand by my child if they did this. I would NOT defent their actions and blame the victim. BIG difference

Absolutely not. If my kid got charged with a DUI and killed someone there is no way in Hell that can be justified. They know better not to drink and drive and if they are that stupid after all I and many others in my family have warned our kids after the fiasco we went thru then yeah.. They can suffer for what they have done.. Period

I completely agree with this. My cousin is losing her sweet precious almost 2 year old daughter right now b/c a frickin drunk driver slammed into the back of them while they were at a stop sign. The impact was so hard that the baby flew out of her carseat and landed btwn that and a seat rest. Right now she's on life support, brain dead and the family is waiting for her to pass away. (which may have all ready happened) I do not blame the family, but I blame the a-hole who decided to get behind the wheel while drunk. Where is his personal responsibility? I don't care what excuse anyone has, NO ONE SHOULD GET BEHIND THE WHEEL DRUNK, NO ONE. This is the second family member I will lose this year to drinking and driving.
