Detroit OOPSIE!! Headline Confuses 'Obama,' 'Osama'

Obama has more experience than Bush did and his wife never even remotely insinuated that she hates this country. She's proud that her husband is being nominated as a Presidential candidate. I'd be proud if my husband was also and I'd be proud that my country finally saw in him what I did instead of putting up yet another old, rich, white man who has lost touch with their constituents.

Incidentially, a good friend of mine went to a church where the pastor was later revealed to be a child molester. Does the fact that she attended his services every week for over a decade mean that she condones child abuse?

I think there are very few people in this world who have never been embarassed to be associated with someone. I also think there are very few people who have never known, liked, and trusted someone for years only to find out later what sort of person they really are. I'm the VP of our PTO. The former President was someone I considered a friend. We chatted and worked together regularly. Then I found out that she had embezzled over $7000 from the PTO. I hope that someday no one will ever say that I associate with criminals because I was friends with her while it was happening and didn't disassociate myself from her until after she had been taking the money.

I'm also confused by all this stuff about what race/religion etc he calls himself. Some people are getting upset because he considers himself to be a black man because he "is ignoring his white side" but then those very people call him a Muslim and completely ignore his Christian upbringing.

That makes no sense. If the old coot got up on Sundays and told everyone how he molested the child and you should do it as well, yes I would run away from the crazy person and anyone in their right mind would do the same.

Obama said he never heard his pastor saying such things when it seems to be his regular thing is suspicious at best.

I never paid attention in church. I doubt I'm the only one. "Regular" is a very open word as well. Once a year is regular. So is every single sermon. I have no idea how often the pastor said such things. I'm not a big fan of Obama. If the pastor said such things every week that would make an impact on me. Although I doubt I could vote for McAmnesty when he blatently ignores the wishes of 90% of his state to write an amnesty bill for illegals with Ted Kennedy. It was so out there that even those "evil liberals" wouldn't pass it.

I guess Obama never paid attention either. Why go? Maybe for Obama it was all image over substance. I can't believe someone can be like an uncle to a person and that person doesn't know what they say.

Than he throws his grandmother under the bus who raised him to hold up for a man who preaches hate to his congregation. Bring back Hillary please.

I'm not too fond of McCain either but that is who we have, both of them. Roll eyes.

If he stood up and told his congregation that he supports BoyManLove and legalising child prostitution... and she continued to attend his church, then yes - I would say there was a problem.

(I will also add the child molestation is ILLEGAL while racism is deplorable, repugnant, and sad .... but not ILLEGAL. )

If this person said things are acted in such a way as to lead you to suspect ... and you did nothing ... maybe because you didn't want to hurt her feelings ... then yes - I would consider your judgement flawed.

Not that I am saying that was the case, I am just responding to your scenerio.

I really don't know how any of this will play out because I have a friend who is white who has 3 kids with a black man and the kids black grandmother said that the kids aren't her kin because they have white in them! Worst enought she said it TO one of the kids, he was 5yrs old. I think that is sad, but I think if you are byracial you should be proud of both sides, not just the black side or white side to get better votes! I believe that's what he is doing!

I haven't seen a whole lot of "White pride" from his campaign. Can you show me where I have missed it ??
