Thanks for posting this, I hadnt watched the news so I knew nothing about it, but just a litlle bit ago they did come on tv to say that they were canceling the amber alert, so hopefully they were able to find her. wow that had to have been really scary for that poor girl

A Phoenix teen, the subject of an overnight Amber Alert, was released by her kidnappers around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday in Surprise.

Marquesia Thomas, 13, was driven around all night by the suspects, who frequently moved her from one vehicle to another.

At one point she was placed in the trunk of one vehicle.

Marquesia was hit on the head several times and threatened repeatedly by the suspects.

She will be examined at a local hospital and reunited with her family.

Police say around 7pm Monday night several men armed with handguns and AK47’s kidnapped her at gunpoint near her home near 35th Avenue and Southern.

According to Phoenix Police Sergeant Andy Hill, police are searching for a white Chevrolet Tahoe with police-type strobe headlights and a temporary liscence plate.

One white male and two Hispanic males approached the victim, Marquesia Thomas looking for a subject.

All three were armed with AK47s.

When they could not find him, they grabbed the victim and abducted her.

Police on the scene say there may be another three men involved for a total of about six.

They believe five of them are Hispanic and one is white.

Some of the men were wearing police-style gun belts.

Police are uncertain if the men in the Chevy Tahoe that had strobe lights were trying to pretend they were police officers.

Investigators believe the suspects in this case are involved in drug trafficking.

It appears Marquesia may have been mistaken for someone else.


Phoenix police urge you to call 911 if you have any information.
