Rosie O’Donnell Gives Her Theory on U.S. Bombing Syria to ‘The View’ Ladies. Awkward Silence Follows.
By Mike Miller 4 hours ago

Rosie O’Donnell, no stranger to conspiracy theories, shared her opinion with the ladies of The View on Wednesday as to why the U.S. is bombing ISIS in Syria. Rosie’s take? Forget that ISIS murders Americans on video while threatening our country, it’s for the oil:

“I can’t get out my head the fact that Syria has a lot of oil.”
Not only was the awkward silence that followed deafening, the speechless look on Whoopi Goldberg’s face was even better:

After Whoopi collected herself and responded with “I don’t think anybody goes to war gleefully,” O’Donnell shot back:

“I don’t think it’s gleefully, but I do think there’s a financial agenda attached to it.”
Incidentally, Rosie doesn’t believe that Muslim terrorists were responsible for 9/11 either. When asked in 2007 on The View who she thought was responsible? “I have no idea,” she said. But she did offer this analysis:

“I do believe it is the first time in history that fire has ever melted steel. I do believe that it defies physics for the World Trade Center Tower Seven … it is impossible for a building to fall the way it fell without explosives being involved.

[M]iraculously, for the first time in history, steel was melted by fire. It is physically impossible.”
How does one respond to the Rosie O’Donnells of the world? Maybe Whoopi’s response was the best: a speechless, blank stare.

    Trouble in Progressive Paradise?
Rosie O’Donnell Goes in Attack Mode; Target: Whoopi Goldberg

    September 30, 2014 By Jennifer Burke

When ABC decided to re-hire controversial comedian Rosie O’Donnell as a host of The View, many wondered if that was a wise idea. After all, the 9/11 Truther had already been fired from the show once. Would her return bring with it more problems or good camaraderie? Judging from events that have occurred over the last few week, Barbara Walters may be rethinking bringing Rosie back.

Last Wednesday, as U.S. bombing in Syria began, O’Donnell, who pledged to be more fair and objective in her return to the view, made an eye-opening statement that even left fellow progressive Whoopi Goldberg perplexed. She said, “I can’t get my head out of the fact that Syria has a lot of oil.” Looking at her with a ‘did she really just say that’ look on her face, Whoopi Goldberg replied, “I don’t think anybody goes to war gleefully.” O’Donnell retorted, “I don’t think it’s gleefully, but I do think there’s a financial agenda attached to it.”

There was tension that day on the set of The View, but that doesn’t even compare to what happened the next day.

When Rosie was originally on The View, she was the moderator. She’s been gone from the show for a few years and Whoopi Goldberg is now the moderator. Rumor has it that O’Donnell doesn’t like that and wants to be more than just a co-host. She wants to run the show.

Audience members got a shocking earful during a break when a heated exchange broke out between Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O’Donnell that included O’Donnell grabbing the mic that is used to speak to the audience and voicing her annoyance and anger towards Goldberg for everyone to hear.

The Daily Mail reports that it all started when the show’s hosts were running a little over schedule and they had to go to a commercial break. Producers told Whoopi that they had to go to a break stat in her ear monitor. Rosie, who refuses to wear the ear monitor, didn’t hear that news and became furious when she was cut off from finishing her thought on the ‘Hot Topic’ of the day involving spanking. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...-audience.html

As soon as they went to commercial break, Rosie took the handheld microphone that they use to engage the audience,’ explains the tipster.

‘Instead of talking to the crowd, Rosie spoke directly to Whoopi in the mic that she “hurt my feelings,” and that she was “very upset by it” and “didn’t appreciate” what Whoopi had done.’

Standing to the side without a microphone, Whoopi responded by saying: ‘This isn’t the time for this, Rosie.’

Instead of moving on, O’Donnell continued to gripe openly in front of the audience in the microphone about what she perceived as an on-air snub. ‘Well I just don’t appreciate you saying that you were going to do something and not doing it. It makes me upset and I just don’t want to have to go through this,’ O’Donnell continued.

Goldberg, looking annoyed, shot back: ‘I said, this was not the time, Rosie.’

Not phased by the Oscar winner’s petition to leave matters alone until after the show, the 52-year-old comedienne continued to vent about Whoopi’s actions.

The View moderator then fired back to Rosie: ‘F*** it, I told you to leave it alone and you just don’t want to listen. If you want to go there Rosie, I will dammit. I’m really sick of your s***!’

A hush fell over the studio.
Apparently, when filming restarted, everyone acted like nothing ever happened and the faux chumminess returned. But, the damage was done and an entire audience were witnesses.

Looks like there’s major trouble in ‘liberal paradise’ at The View when two of the hosts can’t even be tolerant of each other.

Doesn't Rosie know she can't diss the government since Obama is president, it only worked when Bush was in with that liberal crew. Rosie seems to think everything bad in the world is our government's fault and that means Obama, Whoopie won't hear any of that.

Of course, Rosie will say it's from Bush's time in office to stay in good standing, but she hasn't learned to say it fast enough yet, that is why she got the stares.

Rosie O'Donnell is leaving 'The View' for a second time
    Published February 07, 2015

Rosie O'Donnell is leaving "The View" for a second time.

Her publicist, Cindi Berger, said Friday that the outspoken co-host of the ABC daytime chat show is exiting next week to focus on her five children after the breakup of her marriage.

Berger says O'Donnell and Michelle Rounds, her wife of three years, split in November.

The 52-year-old O'Donnell had returned to "The View" only last summer. Her initial yearlong stay ended stormily in 2007.

Now in its 18th season, the program recently was the target of rumors that a fellow panelist, Rosie Perez, had left for good to appear in a new Broadway play. But she returned this week.

Moderator Whoopi Goldberg and Nicolle Wallace remain with Perez on the show, which was created by Barbara Walters in 1997.

Rosie O'Donnell Leaving The View After Split From Wife Michelle Rounds
by Natalie Finn Fri., Feb. 6, 2015 6:32 PM PST

The last few months have been far tougher for Rosie O'Donnell than anyone knew.

She and wife Michelle Rounds have split up, and Rosie announced today that she also will be leaving The View, barely five months after returning as a co-host to the ABC morning show.

The news comes just after rumors were finally put to rest that Rosie Perez was exiting The View after barely getting her feet wet as a morning show personality. "I can confirm that Rosie and her wife Michelle split in November," O'Donnell's rep said in a statement Friday.

"Rosie has teens and an infant at home that need her attention. This has been a very stressful situation. She is putting her personal health and family first. ABC has been wonderfully understanding and supportive of her personal decision to leave The View. Next week will be her last."

The news was first reported by Page Six.

Upon her return to The View in September, nearly seven years after her first run as a co-host ended, O'Donnell told Variety, "I think it's going to be must-see TV. My goal is to come in peace. And the contrast between what the show will be and what it was is going to be glaring."

Instead, her brief stay was plagued by rumors that she and Whoopi Goldberg were feuding bitterly behind the scenes. Earlier this year it was rumored that Perez, who also joined the show in September along with Nicolle Wallace, would not be returning from a hiatus to rehearse a Broadway play, but her first episode back was Feb. 3.

"Rosie is an immensely talented star who comes in each and every morning brimming with ideas, excitement and passion for the show," ABC said in a statement obtained by E! News. "When she told us that she wanted to exit The View, we respected and understood her desire to put her well-being and her family first. We're delighted she's still part of the ABC family with upcoming guest appearances on The Fosters. And we know she'll return to The View often with her unique point of view and updates on her work and her family."

As for the upheaval in her personal life, O'Donnell and Rounds married in June 2012 in a private ceremony in New York, but they didn't announced the news until the following month. O'Donnell also suffered a heart attack that August.

This was O'Donnell's second marriage; she has four children with ex Kelli Carpenter.

Rosie O'Donnell: Leaving The View Was Doctor's Orders
    Published on Feb 8, 2015

The comedian suffered a near fatal heart attack in 2012 and has kept a firm eye on her health ever since. "My doctors were noticing that there was an uptick in my numbers since I started on the show," the co-host of ABC's The View told PEOPLE while premiering her new documentary Rosie O'Donnell: A Heartfelt Standup at the Athena Film Festival in New York on Saturday.

Unhinged New 'View' Host Rips Kim Davis: 'B-tch,' 'Monster'
    By Scott Whitlock | September 8, 2015

It didn't take long for The View's new co-hosts to start slamming Christians and conservatives. On the season premiere, Tuesday, Michelle Collins mocked the appearance of Kim Davis, the Kentucky clerk jailed for refusing to issue gay marriage licenses. The recently-added host sneered that Davis is "my top candidate for 'this b-tch got a man?'"

Calling out the woman for her multiple marriages, Collins snarled, "Have you seen the lady?... I'm serious. She's a monster. "

This prompted gasps from the audience. B-tch? Monster? Seems more than a little anti-woman to attack Davis for her looks.

Surprisingly, it was returning co-host Joy Behar who disagreed, saying, "She looks fine." Although Behar thought Davis should be punished, the host argued, "There should be an alternative between not doing a job and going to jail. I think that's a little bit much."

However, later in the program, when Collins wondered how the Pope would feel about Davis, Behar blurted, "My dream is that all the gay priests come out of the closet."

Another new host, Paula Faris, perhaps will play the Elisabeth Hasselbeck token conservative role. She wondered about hypocrisy from the left when it comes to Davis. Faris cited,

PAULA FARIS: What about the San Francisco mayor -- and I'm just playing devil's advocate here. What the San Francisco mayor years ago when went gay marriage was not legal and he was issuing -- he was issuing marriage licenses. He wasn't thrown in jail.
Faris is an ABC News anchor and outspoken Christian. http://newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/ken-...ce-cameron-abc

WHOOPI GOLDBERG: So the Kentucky clerk who was arrested for refusing to issue marriage licenses to gay couples, now, there's a rally to support her today. Candidate Mike Huckabee plans to attend and visit her in jail. So, the question is, is she -- is her religious freedom being violated or is she violating people's civil rights? I mean, what's happening here?

JOY BEHAR: The main thing is she works for the state, right?

    GOLDBERG: Yes.

BEHAR: Then you have to follow the law. I mean it's one thing to say I'm not going to deliver pizzas. It's another thing to shut down on your job. The supreme court said it's legal now. She can't do that. But there should be – Excuse me. Let me finish. There should be an alternative between not doing a job and going to jail. I think that's a little bit much.

    ...

GOLDBERG: In the '50s, when folks were getting arrested and for protesting not being able to sit in the front of the bus or sit at the table in a restaurant. You know, people said, well, we're not going to acknowledge you as a human being because it's against what I believe. So, either we are a country of laws and you adhere to those laws or you take a different job where you don't -- where your religious beliefs do not have anything to do with anybody else's freedoms.

BEHAR: You know, Whoopi, on top of all that, this is a woman who has been married more times than anyone at this table combined.

MICHELLE COLLINS: Four times. She's my top candidate for "this bitch got a man," by the way. I'm like, four times? Have you seen the lady? [Gasps from the crowd.] I mean – Sorry. I'm serious. She's a monster. I'm sorry. Go on.

BEHAR: She's fine. She looks fine. But she has been married four times. She had twins ow of wedlock. I don't judge this. I don't give a damn what people do. I'm laissez-faire, but to be so hypocritical you're so against gay marriage when you have had four marriages. I mean, a lot of the things they say, it will condemn, it will hurt heterosexual marriage.

    ...

FARIS: What about the San Francisco mayor and I'm just playing devil's advocate here. What the San Francisco mayor years ago when went gay marriage was not legal and he was issuing -- he was issuing marriage licenses. He wasn't thrown in jail. So why is there --

COLLINS: They threw a big parade for him.

FARIS: There is a double standard. Why is she in jail?

    GOLDBERG: She's in jail –

FARIS: But he wasn't thrown in jail.
