2 year old killed...
by a pitbull mix and possibly another dog. This happened in Dekalb County, in Georgia, not far from me. It really amazes me how this continues to happen. I have watched this "breaking" news for the last 20 minutes and have cried so hard for the hell this poor baby went through. How does anyone ever get over something like this? They were visiting friends and the dog or dogs, they aren't sure yet if it was just the one dog or both, the dogs got out of the fence and attacked and killed this baby. Where the hell were the freaking parents? I feel sorry for them for the loss of their child but WHERE WERE THEY???
People get so mad that they blame pit bulls for this stuff, yet the idiots of this world keep getting pits and allow this to happen.
My heart is just broken over this.

They finally said it was a little girl. From what I gather, they were at their next door neighbor when the dog attacked. They still haven't said whether it was one or both dogs.

Re: 2 year old killed...
That is just so terrible. Even if the parents were watching her play in the backyard from inside (which is more than possible, and normal for that matter) They would never have been able to get there fast enough. This just re-inforces my idea to not let my son outside without me. I've only finally gotten to the point where I'll let him in the yard if Im in the window watching but if a dog got loose it could get to him before I can even get out the door and thats just a chance im not willing to take.
Please keep us updated on this case, I would like to hear more information.

Re: 2 year old killed...
Thats so sad
When we go visit people with dogs, I don't let my kids go out in the yard w/o me. When the kids have friends over, they can't go out in the yard w/o me and I keep the dogs by me or I let them in. My dogs are gentle giants and have never shown any aggression, but its one of those 'you never know' type of things. I would much rather be safe than sorry.
