Anna Nicole Smith, the former Playboy playmate whose bizarre life careened from marrying an octogenarian billionaire to the untimely death of her son, died Thursday after collapsing at a South Florida hotel, one of her lawyers said.

Smith, 39, collapsed and was unresponsive while staying at the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe Hotel and Casino, said the attorney, Ron Rale. She was rushed to a hospital.

This is so sad.

I can't but wonder if drugs were involved because of her past bahavior and the fact that she's been depressed and been through so much. I hope she didn't take her own life or anything like that. May she rest in peace.

I wonder what will happen to her baby since the paternity test was never done.

Something makes me think this has to do with the stress of the upcoming paternity test of the baby - she was being forced by the court to have a paternity test of the baby to see if the father was Larry Birkhead or Howard K Stern.

I really couldn't stand her and thought alot of the stuff in her life was brought on by her own actions; (what comes around goes around), but I really felt bad for her when she lost her son, I couldn't imagine losing a child and you could tell on TV she was broken. I hope her baby has loving family members to go to. I also hope they find out who her father is.

I don't mean this to sound gross but is there any chance that her son was the baby's father? The news is saying how she REALLY LOVED her son. Things that I have heard lead me to believe that she did drugs with him so is thsi possible???

I never even thought about that, but you know it could be possible, I sure hope not.... I also heard the other day on the news that she could possibly be going to trial over something with people sueing Trim Spa, I'm not real sure the story on that.

I don't think anyone is trashing her at all - there is certainly going to be questions that come up.
