McCain: Obama ‘Smarter than the Rest of Us’

In a recent interview with TIME Magazine, moderate GOP Senator John McCain spoke about the state of party politics and gushed that the reason President Obama made a good impression on establishment Republicans was, “Because he was smarter than the rest of us.”

It’s little wonder why Sen. McCain, often called a RINO (Republican In Name Only) is largely unpopular with the conservative base of the Republican Party.

The Washington Post reports:

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), in a new interview with Time magazine, says that President Obama made a good impression on GOP senators when he sat down to dinner with them last year.

Part of the reason? “Because he was smarter than the rest of us.”

Here’s McCain’s full quote, from Time:

“I thought when he had a couple of dinners with Republican senators, we really had a good environment there. Because he is a very very articulate and attractive guy in a setting with eight or nine senators and him. Because he was smarter than the rest of us. … But I don’t see that now. I don’t see any of that.”

McCain’s hot-and-cold relationship with Obama has been well-documented — including by us.

Interestingly, McCain also refers to Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) use those same two A-words — ”articulate” and “attractive.”

“I think that Marco Rubio is a very bright and very articulate young senator and has a great deal of attractiveness to him,” McCain says while discussing the 2016 GOP presidential field.

Sen. McCain has worked to distance himself from Tea Party elements within the party, despite having claimed that Republicans would not control the House without the Tea Party’s influence in 2010 and 2012

Al Sharpton’s Blasphemous Easter Message: Compares Obama’s ‘Suffering’ to Jesus

Race baiting MSNBC host and former FBI informant Al Sharpton has never hidden there reverence with which he holds Barack Obama. In fact, Sharpton so likes to emulate Obama that he famously parrots Obama’s words his show Politics Nation. Still, no one would expect this strange and blasphemous analogy from a man who calls himself Reverend.

I think that the message is, no matter what the world may do to unfairly, no matter how your crucified, nailed to the cross at home, or in your personal relationships, or on the job that you can rise if you don’t lose yourself during the hard times and the challenges.

The story of Jesus on the cross. no matter what they humiliated him with. no matter how they mocked him he took it, because he knew he could rise. And the story of Easter and my message for this Easter session is no matter what unearned suffering you go through, that if you know you can rise above it, don’t become like the diseases that you fight.

That’s not the worst of it. He is attempting, during an appearance on The Tom Joyner Show, to give some words of inspiration as Christians around the world prepare for Easter which celebrates the day Jesus Christ rose from the dead after being crucified on a cross.

But, after this initial message, Sharpton’s idolatry of Obama took a blasphemous turn.

As I looked at President Obama at our convention last Friday where all he took he’s been able to rise politically again.. I’m not comparing him to Jesus, but I am saying that to every crucifixion there is a resurrection for those who believe…”

DEM Congressman: Republicans Must ‘Repent’ for Having Criticized Obama

On Tuesday, Democrat Rep. Emanuel Cleaver dropped all pretense of serving the people for whom he was elected to fight and betrayed the dogmatic and unshakeable belief in the left’s Messiah: Barack Obama.

On MSNBC, Cleaver demanded that Republicans “repent” from having criticized the great and powerful Obama.



In anticipation of the President’s State of the Union Address, Cleaver spoke with Al Sharpton on MSNBC and said,



“My hope is that [Republicans] will come out tomorrow and repent.”



Cleaver then briefly discussed the auto industry bailout that nationalized much of the American auto industry and claimed that, again, Republicans must “repent” for having criticized Obama’s decisions.

Of course, “repent” is a term used in religious contexts to describe a rejection of one’s past sins and atone for the sins. Thus, Cleaver asked that Republicans repent for the “sin” of having committed blasphemy by criticizing the left’s Messiah.

Though liberals maintain an assault on the religious freedoms of Christians in America, those who pray to Allah or those who pray to Obama seem to be A-Okay and given a pass in America.
