Palin and the Bridge to No Where and that money
You know I watched some of Palin's speech at the convention, I thought for someone who had not been in the national spotlight too often, she did really well. She either was coached very well or just has a natural gift for public speaking, I figured it is probably both, they have had too little time to prepare her, for her not to just naturally have a flair for it, to do that well.
Though I do not agree at all with most of her politics, I was happy to hear that she said No to that bridge to no where. The crowd went spastic and seemed to love her for it. When I heard that I thought well she saw it for a bad project and did not take the money for it, good for her.
Wrong, she not only supported it and got elected supporting it, she only stopped supporting it after Congress had already killed it, oh and yeah she took and kept the money anyway, for her state. Of course what governor is not going to keep free money for their transportation needs, but she did not sound like she was owning up to that in that big speech of hers, at least not to me. Did it sound like that to anyone else?
Here is a link and there is info on CNN and probably the other MM channels about it, though I think I would look it up for myself before you believe MM.
Here are two links.

Palin has a history and that history as a mayor and governor is reported on and what she has supported and done in the past is in the issues of newspapers and articles printed during that time showing how she supported something or made statement regarding it.

Oh, well I don't much trust those sources either. LOL Have you seen the photoshopped pics of her making her look like a bimbo?

So if the media reports that she publicly made a direct quote, took money, then cancelled what the money was for it's not to be trusted. But if a friend's cousin's great aunt's neighbor's son passes along an email that says something negative about Obama then it must be true??

Yeah I have seen those, the guys on website I go to are really happy with them until someone actually showed they were photoshopped, it is the one of her with a flag bikini on holding a gun, then someone posted the real girl who was in the photo. I was reading the reaction to her and McCain and the guys kept posting the pics and how they would rather look at her than McCain, Obama and Biden, LOL
I'm sure some of the photos are real, but hey who doesn't have pics of themselves when they were much younger and in the mini skirt revolution looking like a bimbo? It was the style, I haven't seen any photos of her, that I thought of as scandalous. LOL

There is a way to check to see if they are fake. They put heads on bodies a lot of times. Look for fuzzy edges. There is info on the web on how to detect a fake pic.

No, when I am sent an email I always check with Snopes first before I send it on. Many are fake and I email the person who sent it to me to tell them.
I don't believe any person's opinion but with Obama watching his minister talk tells me a lot about him. I'm sorry but when you have someone who is your mentor for over 20 years you do know what they say and believe, I don't care what Obama says. If you don't know, then you have your head buried in the sand and that is not good either.

I have said the same thing also Janelle, Obama had to know how the preacher felt, but then you got Palin forgetting that she took that money and did not withdraw her support for that bridge until after it was gone, standing up there going on like she was so wise saving us all money and standing up against corruption. LOL
You got McCain coming in so low in his class ratings it is almost sad to think that he could run the country, the same man who left his sick first wife and it don't look good. we got some real doozies running for office.
If anyone ocntinues to keep voting for the same poeple who have been in our government and is part of the status quo getting up there talking about changing Washington, that includes both democrats and republicans, Obama and McCain is going to change Wahington, Bush said it too, almost the same speech. He did too, it got worse. LOL
Everyone should consider Nader when the corporations had women coming up to him, trying to throw themselves at him so they could show him for a fool when he fell for it, but it backfired and he walked away and then sued them for it, he proved he had morals. He also has a plan that would serve American not the government.
