    Angry Undercover at Planned Parenthood

    Undercover at Planned Parenthood
    May 14, 2007 09:30 PM

Lila Rose is an 18-year-old student journalist at UCLA. She's editor-in-chief of Live Action's The Advocate. http://www.laadvocate.com/

Rose recently went undercover at a local campus Planned Parenthood clinic, posing as a 15-year-old minor seeking an abortion after being impregnated by a 23-year-old man. California's mandatory reporting laws require abortion providers to report statutory rape involving girls under the age of 16. Rose secretly captured video of her visit. Here's a partial transcript of what transpired:

Rose's video reports are here. http://www.laadvocate.com/pp/

More at LifeNews http://www.lifenews.com/state2280.html and CNS News http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewCulture.a...20070511d.html

Feminists for Life stepped up to the plate in January, when Rose reported the first part of her investigation. http://www.feministsforlife.org/news...ire1-22-07.htm

Where are the rest of the wimmin's groups to lambaste Planned Parenthood's apparent willingness to encourage a female minor to evade statutory rape laws?

    Crimes Against Children

    See ChildPredators.com.... http://www.childpredators.com/

Who profits financially in cases of child sex abuse?

The dirty little secret is that Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation know they will sell more abortions, more birth control products and more treatments for sexually transmitted diseases when they turn a blind eye to child rape. Men involved with minors need to conceal these sexual relationships, so they take their underage victims to clinics that offer minors confidential abortion services and birth control. When Planned Parenthood and other family planning service providers ignore child abuse reporting laws, they help these men to continue their ongoing sexual abuse of children.

It's illegal for an adult man to seduce an underage girl into a sexual relationship. Every state has statutory rape laws that prohibit sex between adults and children. But Planned Parenthood, the National Abortion Federation, family planning service providers, and all other clinics that profit from selling products and services to sexually active underage girls, have a financial incentive to ignore the laws that were designed to protect children from sexual abuse. And now there’s proof that 91% of these businesses don’t comply with child abuse reporting laws. On the contrary, they actually help conceal child rape from law enforcement!

Who is using tax dollars to protect child abusers?

Men who prey on underage girls just have to put up the cash and Planned Parenthood clinics will quietly help these men cover up child rape. Despite receiving millions of tax dollars from various government entities, Planned Parenthood clinics consistently counsel underage girls to conceal ongoing child rape. Clinics do this because they profit every time they convince a minor child to utilize their services. Planned Parenthood's profits from selling pregnancy tests, abortions and other services to child rape victims would drop substantially if they actually obeyed the laws on reporting potential child sexual abuse.

All fifty states require healthcare workers and others to report suspected child abuse to Child Protective Services or some other law enforcement agency. But family planning services and abortion clinics operated by Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation continue to thumb their noses at child abuse reporting laws. The National Abortion Federation, Planned Parenthood and other abortion clinics profit handsomely by ignoring child rape reporting laws and, if this issue comes up, they hide behind a lot of rhetoric about “privacy” in order to avoid the real issue - their willful failure to comply with these child protection laws.

The tapes don't lie, but Planned Parenthood does!

Our undercover investigation obtained over 800 taped conversations with Planned Parenthood and National Abortion Federation clinics all across America, which prove that Planned Parenthood and NAF fail to comply with the law. They ignore the law even in cases of child sex abuse where child rape is disclosed and acknowledged - not just suspected. These tapes have already been used in court by one state to defend their parental involvement law against a Planned Parenthood lawsuit. To learn more about this investigation and the evidence that proves that this failure to report is the policy and practice of these groups

    The predators of Planned Parenthood
    By Michelle Malkin
    Wednesday, December 3, 2003

Warning: This column contains some items that might be offensive to some.

Planned Parenthood's outspoken activists remain stone-cold silent about Holly Patterson. She's the teenager who died of tragic complications from taking the abortion drug cocktail RU-486, which she obtained from a northern California Planned Parenthood clinic in September. Holly and her unborn child suffered a painful, bloody and prolonged death.

Patterson was seven weeks pregnant when she received the chemical abortion regimen. After seven days and two desperate trips to a hospital emergency room seeking help for intense cramping and bleeding, she succumbed to "septic shock, due to endomyometritis (inflammation) due to therapeutic, drug-induced abortion," according to an Alameda County coroner's report. The silence of the abortion lobby speaks volumes:

Ho-hum. Just one (sic) more innocent casualty in pursuit of the almighty "right to choose." Nothing to see here. Move along.

While Patterson's family mourns and the Food and Drug Administration investigates, Planned Parenthood continues to dispense the abortion kill pills to pregnant teens -- and it continues to entice young people to its abortion clinics with a glitzy, MTV-like Web site offering "sexuality and relationship info you can trust." Called "Teenwire.com," the Planned Parenthood site is chock-full of colorful graphics, hip jargon, voluminous health advice, and lots of exclamation points:

"Check out our interactive color diagrams of female and male anatomy!"

    "SEX TALK LIVE!"

    "Got Lube?"

    "I want both guys!"

    "MASTURBATION: Go there!"

Amid explicit discussions of "dry humping," oral sex, masturbation and encouragement for "queer and questioning" teens, the Teenwire.com site issues a stern note to parents who might be trying to monitor what kind of sex education propaganda their kids are reading. Planned Parenthood lectures mothers and fathers that "this Web site is for teens. This is their place. Take a look around the site if you like, but please do not register on the site."

Translation: We're the experts. You are meddling parents. Bug off and butt out.

Teenwire.com's readers are advised by Planned Parenthood legal experts to call a free hotline number for confidential pregnancy tests and private abortion counseling. Responding to a 14-year-old girl nicknamed "devilchik" who writes a letter asking the experts if she can get an abortion without her mom's permission, the Planned Parenthood advisers supply a list of state laws regarding parental notification and consent. California, where Holly died, has no parental involvement requirement. In a section titled "Yikes!" the experts enthusiastically explain the "judicial bypass" process for circumventing parents altogether when a teen wants to take RU-486 in secret.

The Web site pounds home the blithe message that "abortion is a very safe procedure" akin to taking an aspirin or getting tonsils removed. Shamelessly courting repeat customers, the Web site also mentions several times to its teenage audience that second abortions are no big deal. Ignoring the untold number of American women who suffer from post-abortion trauma, the Planned Parenthood experts also tell young girls that abortion "poses little danger to a woman's emotional and mental health. Although a woman may feel some regret or remorse, the most common emotion after an abortion is relief."

Teenwire.com's section on abortion pills (mifepristone and misoprostol) reads like a cheerleading pharmaceutical press release. "It's finally here!" crows Planned Parenthood writer Susan Motamed. "It's time-tested and super-safe," she informs teens. "Not one woman has died from using mifepristone with misoprostol to end pregnancy," Teenwire.com falsely asserts. Unmentioned are the approximately 400 adverse events linked to RU-486 by its manufacturer, including hemorrhaging, bacterial infections and the deaths of three women in North America, including 18-year-old Holly.

Predators win the trust of their victims by luring them away from their closest loved ones, speaking their language and telling them what they want to hear. Planned Parenthood subverts parents and dispenses death pills to vulnerable teens like candy -- cheap! easy! super-safe! But as Holly's dad, Monty, sobbed at a press conference after his daughter's RU-486-induced homicide: "There's no quick fix for pregnancy, no magic pill . . . They told her it was safe, and it killed her."

Put that in capital letters, Planned Parenthood experts. File it on your Web site under "Yikes!" in memory of Holly Patterson and her child who never had a chance.

    THE PREDATORS OF PLANNED PARENTHOOD
    By Michelle Malkin · June 01, 2005 12:27 PM
The Indiana attorney general's office has been putting the heat on Planned Parenthood in its investigation of explosive charges that the abortion providers failed to report incidents of child molestation to authorities, and the state just got a judicial green light. From the NY Times: http://www.nytimes.com/0ix0ij0Q51209...99msQ7CQ22.hmt

Planned Parenthood of Indiana has to show state investigators the medical records of some of its youngest patients, a judge ruled on Tuesday. The judge rejected the organization's contention that disclosing such records could have a chilling effect on patients across the state.

Since March, Attorney General Steve Carter has been seeking the records of more than 80 patients younger than 14, saying his Medicaid fraud unit is trying to determine whether children have been neglected because molesting incidents were not reported to the authorities as required. Under Indiana law, anyone under 14 who is sexually active is considered a victim of sexual abuse, and health providers are required to report such cases to the state authorities.

In his ruling, Judge Kenneth H. Johnson of Marion Superior Court denied the Planned Parenthood request for a preliminary injunction against Mr. Carter's office, which has obtained parts of 8 patients' records and is seeking the records of 76 others. "The great public interest in the reporting, investigation and prosecution of child abuse trumps even the patient's interest in privileged communication with her physician, because in the end, both the patient and the state are benefited by the disclosure," Judge Johnson wrote in a 23-page decision.

Kansas has undertaken a similar investigation. http://www.christianpost.com/article...Challenged.htm

    This should be front-page news.

AG seek sex offender data from MySpace
By SAMUEL SPIES, Associated Press Writer
    1 hour, 12 minutes ago

RALEIGH, N.C. - Top law enforcement officers from eight states on Monday asked MySpace.com to turn over the names of registered sex offenders who use the social networking Web site.

In a letter, the attorneys general asked MySpace to provide information on how many registered sex offenders are using the site, and where they live. North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper signed the letter, along with attorneys general from Connecticut, Georgia, Idaho, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

In a statement, Cooper's office said media outlets in 2006 "reported almost 100 criminal incidents across the country involving adults who used MySpace to prey or attempt to prey on children."

In December, MySpace announced it was partnering with Sentinel Tech Holding Corp. to build a database with information on sex offenders in the United States. Software to identify and remove sex offenders from the site was launched in early May, MySpace officials said Monday in a statement. "It is our understanding that the data from Sentinel reveals that thousands of known sex offenders have been confirmed as MySpace members," the letter from the attorneys general said.

In an interview, Cooper said the information was provided by "absolutely credible" sources, whom he declined to identify.

The attorneys general also asked that MySpace describe the steps it has taken to warn users about sex offenders and remove their profiles. They asked the Web site to respond to their requests by May 29. "They are by far the largest social networking site," Cooper said. "They certainly should be the standard bearer for changes that need to be made."

Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal called the site a "virtual playground" for predators. "That combination of sex offenders and children is a recipe for tragedy," Blumenthal said.

The site is owned by media conglomerate News Corp. On Monday, MySpace did not say whether it would comply with the request. "We are in the initial stages of cross referencing our membership against Sentinel's registered sex offender database and removing any confirmed matches," Hemanshu Nigam, MySpace's chief security officer, said in a statement.

MySpace and Sentinel would then provide the information to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children so the organization could work directly with law enforcement, he said.

Nigam also said legislation requiring sex offenders to register e-mail addresses would expedite the process.

MySpace's policy prevents children under 14 from setting up profiles, but it relies on users to specify their ages.

Cooper said MySpace should confirm ages though services used by online vendors of lottery tickets and alcohol, and require parental permission for young users. "MySpace can certainly take its own action to remove those sex offender profiles from their site," Cooper said. "They say they are doing that but we want to know ... exactly what steps they are taking."

Cooper has presented legislation to the North Carolina General Assembly that would make it a felony for registered sex offenders to use social networking sites.

In North Carolina last year, a former sheriff's deputy was sentenced to 15 years in prison after being convicted of molesting a 15-year-old boy he met on MySpace, and a Boiling Spring Lakes police officer was charged with the statutory rape of a 14-year-old girl he communicated with on the site, Cooper said.

MySpace and other social networking sites allow users to create online profiles with photos, music and personal information, including hometowns and education. Users can send messages to one another and, in many cases, browse other profiles.

    Re: Undercover at Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood Threatens to Sue Undercover Activist

(CNSNews.com) - Planned Parenthood of Los Angeles is threatening to sue a student pro-life activist who recorded an abortion clinic employee encouraging her to lie about her age to avoid reporting statutory rape. Lila Rose, an 18-year-old sophomore at the University of California Los Angeles, is the founder of a pro-life magazine on campus. In March, she entered a Planned Parenthood of Los Angeles clinic, posing as a pregnant 15-year-old and said her boyfriend was 23 years old. A girl in that position would have been a victim of statutory rape because she was under 16, and California law requires clinics such as Planned Parenthood to report cases of statutory rape. In hidden camera video of the encounter, a PPLA employee tells Rose that she could "figure out a birth date that works" to avoid having to notify police. On Monday, PPLA sent a cease-and-desist letter to Rose, warning her that "surreptitious" recordings of PPLA employees without consent violates California privacy laws.

As Cybercast News Service previously reported, Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California President Kathy Kneer criticized the undercover investigation as "manipulative," but admitted that the PPLA employee had violated the organization's policy to follow all applicable laws.

Following news of the undercover operation, Kneer said the organization had reminded all of its employees of the law and its own policies.

On Monday, PPLA sent a cease-and-desist letter to Rose, warning her that "surreptitious" recordings of PPLA employees without consent violates California privacy laws.

California law prohibits recording "intentionally and without the consent of all parties to a confidential communication." Violating the prohibition could mean a $2,500 fine, plus civil penalties of $5,000 or more.

In the letter, obtained by Cybercast News Service, PPLA president Mary Jane Wagle demands that Rose stop the undercover investigations, remove existing clips from online video sharing site YouTube, and turn the original tapes and all copies over to Planned Parenthood. "If you do not agree to take these three steps, PPLA will seek all appropriate legal remedies," Wagle wrote.

Cybercast News Service obtained a copy of the video and audio before the cease-and-desist letter went into effect and has preserved it for our readers' benefit. (Click here http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewCulture.a...20070515b.html for the full video -- a large file that may take time to load. As produced by Rose, the video features clips of a song by rapper Ludacris and singer Mary J. Blige called "Runaway.")

David French, an attorney with the Christian legal group Alliance Defense Fund, accused Planned Parenthood of "engaging in a campaign...to bully an 18-year-old to distract attention from the fact that their employees were engaging in unlawful behavior."

French, who is serving as Rose's legal adviser, said, "Nothing changes the truth of what's contained in those videotapes. Planned Parenthood was advocating that a patient lie, advocating a way around mandatory reporting requirements for statutory rape, and nothing that Planned Parenthood does as far as trying to bully her regarding the tapes themselves can change those facts."

Regardless of Planned Parenthood's activity in the clinic, French said his client hopes to avoid the court. "She's going to comply with the bulk of their demands on it regarding the videotapes themselves, so I would hope that Planned Parenthood would not pursue any further action against her," he said.

Kneer told Cybercast News Service Monday that the cease-and-desist letter was meant "to protect the privacy of our patients and our employees and maintaining and complying with California laws, all of the laws, is important to us, and we think Lila needs to be more respectful of California laws."

She reiterated that Planned Parenthood has reminded its employees of California law regarding mandatory reporting of statutory rape and said that Lila's case is rare. "We essentially believe that in 99.9 percent of the time, our employees do follow the laws," Kneer said, adding that "attacks" from "anti-choice extremists" have led to national audits of abortion providers.

"A thorough audit was done across the country and essentially came to the conclusion that providers are complying with state laws and there are no violations," Kneer said.

She said she couldn't comment on what happened to the employee in Rose's tape, but she did say that a clinician who breaks the law is "subject to losing their license. That's a personal issue for each employee, and as the employer, we want to make sure our clinicians know how to comply with the law and at the same time, make sure that patients can trust us."

"Nothing we can say will most likely change Lila's views," Kneer said, "but I can tell you every day the American public trusts Planned Parenthood and that's because one in four individuals has been to a Planned Parenthood in their lifetime and they know the quality of healthcare we provide to our patients."

    'Hundreds' caught on tape

In 2002, an activist group called Life Dynamics ran a campaign in which a woman posing as a 13-year old impregnated by a 22-year-old and called clinics operated by Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation. The group has compiled tapes of workers encouraging girls to lie about their age to avoid being reported as a victim.

The group claims to have collected "over 800 tape recordings that show how Planned Parenthood and NAF workers secure business from victims of statutory rape by undermining parental authority, encouraging children to lie and promising minors that their employees will ignore mandatory reporting laws."

"[T]ell them your boyfriend is 16 or something because he could get in a lot of trouble," one employee in Alaska told the caller. A worker in North Carolina told the caller, "I wouldn't advise you to say anything about your boyfriend being 22, because that's statutory rape."

Life Dynamics founder Mark Crutcher told Cybercast News Service Monday that telling girls to lie about their age is standard practice for abortion clinics because "there's lots of money in this."

He said the fact that Planned Parenthood threatened to sue Rose is a sign that the organization is interested in continuing the practice rather than reforming. "If they were interested in using this as the opportunity to educate their people then that would be their thrust and how the girl got the tapes would be somewhat irrelevant," he said.

Crutcher said his organization has never heard a response from Planned Parenthood or the National Abortion Federation. It has never faced legal challenges, he said, because the calls were placed from Texas, which requires only that one participant in the conversation consent to having it taped.

    Re: Undercover at Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood looked the other way, Mason rape victim says
    PETER BRONSON

It was one of the worst cases of child abuse Warren County Prosecutor Rachel Hutzel has ever seen - and she has seen a few. "I thought I would get held in contempt of court because I argued it so vigorously in court," she said, still outraged by the case eight months later. "The father was basically treating his daughter like she was his wife."

John Blanks Jr. of Mason was sentenced to five years - one year in prison for every year he molested his daughter, beginning when she was 13. "She had to get up out of his bed in the morning and go to school, if you can imagine what that was like," Hutzel said.

In May 2006, the girl told a Mason High School official what was going on. "She finally decided she wasn't going to take it anymore and she didn't want her sibling to become a victim," Hutzel said.

Now the girl says in a lawsuit filed Wednesday that the abuse could have been stopped earlier. In November 2004, when she was 16, the girl was forced by her father to have an abortion. She reported the abuse at the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Cincinnati, her lawyer says. "She tried to put an end to this abuse," said Brian Hurley, "by informing a Planned Parenthood employee that she has been forced to have sex and to do things she did not want to do. Tragically for her, Planned Parenthood's 'don't ask, don't tell' policy was in full force."

State law requires teachers, clinic workers and others to report suspected abuse to police. But Planned Parenthood "completely ignored her cry for help," Hurley said, and his client was "raped on many occasions over the next one and one-half years."

Becki Brenner, president of Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio, said: "I won't speak on individual patients, but I am very eager to see the facts of this case come out for public review. I can't tell you the facts because of the legal issues, but I think people may be surprised." She also said, "We do not have a 'don't ask, don't tell' policy."

Hurley also represents "Jane Roe," a victim of sexual abuse by her soccer coach at age 14. She was taken by the abuser to Planned Parenthood in the fall of 2004 for an abortion. Although she used a junior-high school I.D. and the coach, 21, paid with a credit card and driver's license, Planned Parenthood failed to report the abuse.

Planned Parenthood officials said they were misled and did not know the man who gave permission and paid for the abortion was the abuser.

That case is still in court. An appeals court hearing is expected Tuesday on Judge Patrick Dinkelacker's order for Planned Parenthood to turn over records of underage abortions to Hurley. As in similar cases in Indiana and Kansas, Planned Parenthood has invoked patient privacy. Even if names and addresses are deleted, Planned Parenthood attorney Daniel Buckley argued there are "profound and significant privacy issues."

But based on records obtained so far, Hurley said, "My guess is that this is just the tip of the iceberg, and that is why Planned Parenthood will do anything to prevent us from seeing its records."

In the Roe case, a Planned Parenthood "Documentation Form for Suspected Sexual or Child Abuse Report" says: "Patient reports pregnancy is a result of sexual assault by a stranger."

"After consultation with (Planned Parenthood) attorney, report of a crime to the police was not made; due to physician-patient privilege, we are prohibited from reporting as no severe bodily injury was reported."

Hurley said prosecutors in four local counties know of no such exception to reporting requirements. Hutzel agreed. If evidence of severe injury were required, "there would be no reports in the vast majority of situations," Hurley said.

Hutzel said she is "keeping the door open" for possible criminal prosecution depending on what is revealed in the civil case. "By failing to report it and giving her an abortion and birth-control pills, they sent her home with him and he abused her for another year and a half," she said. "That had to have been one of the darkest days of her life. She has just had an abortion, now she has to get back in the car and go home with him."

Hurley also found a note in Planned Parenthood files about sexual abuse that mentions "don't ask, don't tell."

    Re: Undercover at Planned Parenthood

This does not surprise me at all. In our state our attorney general was collecting evidence on how the abortionist preforms under age abortions on girls who got pregnant by older men. This is rape, plain and clear.

Well when the election came up he was defeated by the abortion machine's money supporting the other candidate. YUCK. Now no one can touch the abortionist. People are complaining but the new attorney general won't do a thing about it. So we will have more underage girls being used by older men. No one can protect them.

    Re: Undercover at Planned Parenthood

Some undercover journalists are more equal than others
    By Michelle Malkin · May 16, 2007 10:05 AM

My syndicated column today compares the treatment of undercover journalists who expose abortion providers with treatment of undercover journalists who expose military recruiters. Not all undercover journalists are equal in the eyes of the liberal media elite...

    ***

Here is a tale of two breeds of undercover journalists. One has been celebrated by the national media and journalism organizations. The other has been shunned. One has champions in Congress. The other is facing litigation.

Both engaged in sting operations with secret cameras catching their targets on videotape. Both were deceptive about their true identities and life circumstances. Both exposed their targets’ aggressive methods and law-subverting recruitment tactics. But you’ve probably only heard of the efforts of one of these breeds. You’ll know why in a moment.

Over the past several years, local and national news outlets have conducted stings on military recruiters. Last week, a Tennessee station in Nashville set up hidden cameras and reported that it had caught Army recruiters telling an undercover producer posing as a recruit that taking medication for depression would not disqualify a recruit from serving. The Democrat chairman of a House Armed Services subcommittee is now urging an Army probe of recruiting practices and the mentally ill based on the TV station’s report.

Last fall, ABC News and New York affiliate WABC enlisted students to help them in a similar gotcha game with recruiters. They armed the kids with hidden video cameras for visits to ten Army recruitment offices in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. The journalists accused the recruiters of misleading the students to get them to enlist. The ABC News sting came on the heels of a Colorado student’s undercover operation in Denver in 2005. David McSwane, a high-school honors student, posed as a dropout and druggie. “I wanted to do something cool, go undercover and do something unusual,” he told the Rocky Mountain News. McSwane deliberately failed a high-school equivalency test, caught recruiters on tape driving him to purchase a detox kit, and reported that they urged him to obtain a phony diploma. A local CBS station picked up the story — prompting the Army to shut down its recruiting stations nationwide for ethics training.

McSwane earned a “laurel” from the prestigious Columbia Journalism Review “for conduct most becoming” and announced he was headed to journalism school. His reporting garnered attention from the New York Times to Editor and Publisher — and spawned copycats like those at ABC News.

No such laurels have been awarded to Lila Rose, however. And none will be forthcoming, I predict. Rose is an 18-year-old student journalist at UCLA. Like McSwane and his breed of undercover reporters, she surreptitiously infiltrated a massive organization that enlists young people. Like McSwane and his breed of undercover reporters, Rose exposed deceptive practices. Rose posed as a 15-year-old seeking the services and advice of her target. Like McSwane and his breed of undercover reporters, she caught her targets urging her to lie and evade the law in order to sign her up.

But Rose’s target was the Left’s beloved Planned Parenthood, not the military. And that has made all the difference in the nonexistent national coverage of her undercover journalism. Rose edits The Advocate, a pro-life campus publication of the student group Live Action. She posed as a minor impregnated by a 23-year-old boyfriend and caught a Planned Parenthood employee advising her to lie about her age to relieve the abortion provider from a legal obligation to report statutory rape to the police.

“If you’re 15, we have to report it,” the staffer told Rose in a secretly taped video. “If you’re not, if you’re older than that, then we don’t need to.” “OK, but if I just say I’m not 15, then it’s different?” Rose queried. “You could say 16,” the worker helpfully suggested. “Just figure out a birth date that works. And I don’t know anything.” Other than coverage from a few pro-life groups and conservative websites, Rose’s stunning revelations have received virtually no mainstream media attention. And no calls from lawmakers for investigations of Planned Parenthood’s predatory tactics and practices — which have been also caught on tape in other states by undercover citizen investigators.

Instead, Rose faces threats of a lawsuit by Planned Parenthood, which sent her a cease-and-desist letter and had the appalling nerve this week to lecture Rose about the need “to be more respectful of California laws,” according to the conservative Cybercast News Service.

Where are the muckraking champions when you need them? Intrepid Lila Rose has learned the hard way: Not all undercover journalists are equal.

Abortion Provider Caught Encouraging Minor to Lie About Age
By Nathan Burchfiel -- CNSNews.com Staff Writer
    May 11, 2007

(CNSNews.com) - Planned Parenthood is under fire after one of its employees was recorded encouraging a student - who was posing as a pregnant minor -- to lie about her age in order to obtain an abortion without the abortion provider having to report the "statutory rape" to the police.

Lila Rose, an 18-year-old sophomore at the University of California Los Angeles, visited a Planned Parenthood clinic in the city, posing as a 15-year-old impregnated by her 23-year-old boyfriend. The visit was part of an investigation for The Advocate, a new pro-life magazine distributed on the UCLA campus.

California law requires abortion clinics to report instances of statutory rape to police. The age of consent in California is 16.

In covertly-filmed video of the meeting between Rose and an unnamed Planned Parenthood employee, the staffer is heard to tell Rose: "If you're 15, we have to report it ... If you're not, if you're older than that, then we don't need to."

"Okay, but if I just say I'm not 15, then it's different?" Rose asks.

"You could say 16," the worker replies, later adding, "Just figure out a birth date that works. And I don't know anything."

Other parts of the video clip show the manager of another Planned Parenthood clinic encouraging Rose to seek an abortion.

The woman relates that having herself given birth at the age of 17, 16 years ago, the decision had severely hindered her education and life goals. "If I would do it again, I would not continue the pregnancy," she is heard telling Rose.

Rose told Cybercast News Service that she wants to hold abortion providers accountable for how they treat women in crisis pregnancies and to ensure "that abortion is not sold like a blender at Sears."

"The public's eyes need to be opened to the fact that they're really not to be trusted as far as the way that they handle the situation with minor girls who are in trouble, or even the way they counsel in a pro-abortion way," Rose said.

Kathy Kneer, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California - the state public policy office of Planned Parenthood - criticized Rose's tactics but told Cybercast News Service that staff has been notified of its policy to follow all reporting laws. "We believe the individuals behind this are doing this not out of motivation to protect teens but in fact to discredit Planned Parenthood," Kneer said of Rose and her male accomplice. "They went in with an objective to manipulate our staff, and they did succeed in manipulating our staff."

Rose defended her undercover methods, which she said provides "the way to find out what really goes on behind closed doors in a clinic, what really goes about to influence these life-changing decisions."

"The only way that I or anyone else is really going to make a difference in how women are influenced by either Planned Parenthood or their clinics or the health centers on their campuses or any other abortion agencies ... is to become one of those women and to really experience it themselves," she said.

While Kneer was critical of Rose's approach, she acknowledged that the staff had violated Planned Parenthood policies. "It is against Planned Parenthood's policy to counsel clients in this fashion, period," Kneer said. "It is our policy to completely comply with all reporting laws. We regularly train and retrain our staff on all aspects of reporting laws."

"The staff gave an incorrect answer," Kneer said of the employee who suggested that Rose lie about her age. "She should have said, 'It's reportable' and ended the conversation there. But she allowed herself to be manipulated by Lila, and that's against our policy."

Kneer said Planned Parenthood "immediately notified all of our staff and reminded them that this is in violation of our policy, and we continue to do that on a regular basis."

Rose said she would continue to investigate abortion providers and that Planned Parenthood would not be the only target. "They're not the only organization promoting abortion in our society," she said. "My end goal in doing any of this is to hold any abortion provider responsible for everything that they do. "They need to admit there's a problem and work to change it if they really want to protect women and promote true choice for women," she said.

    Planned Parenthood’s latest coverup(s?)
    Wednesday 16 May 2007 at 5:05 pm

In New London, Connecticut, a 14 year old girl has been impregnated by her 22 year old boyfriend no less than 3 times. She’s also had 3 abortions.

After the third abortion, her mother called the police and had her daughter’s boyfriend arrested.

    Her mother did.

Not the abortion provider who performed the 3 abortions on this 14 year old girl.

Question: What is the closest abortion provider to New London, Connecticut?

    Answer: Planned Parenthood.

Question: Anyone want to guess where the girl went to have her abortions?

In the mean time, Planned Parenthood is threatening to sue a gal named Lila Rose for exposing Planned Parenthood employees trying to cover up statutory rape cases in their own clinic. Michelle Malkin and a host of other bloggers have been covering it. (also see Michelle’s column here.)

Defenders of Planned Parenthood claim that because Lila Rose was only impersonating a 15 year old girl, and was actually 18, that Planned Parenthood should not be held responsible for encouraging her to lie about her age so that they wouldn’t have to file a report on the rape.

Question: Will these same defenders finally come out and admit that Planned Parenthood covers up rape and enables abusers, should we find out that it was a Planned Parenthood clinic that performed 3 abortions on this 14 year old girl?

Question: Do the defenders even want to know whether or not Planned Parenthood is responsible for performing 3 abortions on a 14 year old girl? Or would they rather pretend it never happened?

This kind of behavior by Planned Parenthood is nothing new. In fact, encouraging minors to lie about their age to avoid reporting requirments appears to be 'unofficial' policy.

I recall some months ago listening to Jerry Doyle’s talk radio program, a segment of which was about this very problem. He played audio tapes of a telephone “sting” in which a woman claiming to be 15 and pregnant by her 22 or 23 year old boyfriend called eight different Planned Parenthood locations seeking an abortion.

Suffice it to say, Planned Parenthood went 8 for 8 in encouraging her to lie about her age.

It’s par with an observation I saw recently about liberal situational ethics: If you’re a 13, 14 or 15 year old girl and pregnant, you’re an “adult” who can make her own decisions without any governmental or parental interference. But if you’re a 22, 23 or 25 year old soldier in Iraq, you’re a “child” who needs to be brought home for your own protection.

Connecticut Abortion Facility Employee Pleads Guilty to Sexual Abuse
    by Steven Ertelt
    May 29, 2007

Bridgeport, CT (LifeNews.com) -- The employee of an abortion facility in Connecticut has issued a guilty plea in a case involving the sexual abuse of three teenage girls. Former modeling agency owner Michael Britt, who worked as a janitor at the abortion center, is the subject of the latest Connecticut case involving sexual abuse and abortion.

Britt stands accused of sexually assaulting three teenagers from Norwalk who went to his modeling agency. He plead guilty before Superior Court Judge Richard Comerford to reduced charges -- one count of second degree sexual assault.

According to the Connecticut Post, Britt, a 43 year-old and the owner of Model World Enterprises had been charged on multiple counts but Senior Asst. State's Attorney Cornelius Kelly told the judge the teens were reluctant to testify against him.

The newspaper indicated that Britt sexually abuses teens aged 18, 17 and 14 in March and April 2005 after they signed papers to be models. Britt lured the teenagers by telling them that they couldn't become models unless that had intercourse with him.

He took the 14 year-old to the Summit Women's Center abortion facility, where he worked and which was located in the same building as his agency. The 17 year-old indicated he took her to the abortion center as well.

The 14 year-old appeared to be pregnant prior to meeting Britt and an AP report indicates he applied a cream on the body of the 14 year-old at the abortion center, which was closed at the time, saying it would cause an abortion.

In July 2005, police charged Britt with first-degree sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.

Summit officials did not respond to a request from LifeNews.com to comment for this story.

The Britt case follows just weeks after another abortion-sexual abuse case prompted observers to wonder why abortion facilities are not contacting authorities about the actions. Kevon Walker, 22, was charged earlier this month with getting his then 14 year-old girlfriend pregnant. He got the unnamed girl pregnant three times in six months and the girl wound up having three abortions as a result.

However, abortion businesses failed to report the statutory rape to authorities and officials only began investigating Walker's actions when the victim's mother contacted them.

    Re: Undercover at Planned Parenthood

On Wednesday, Planned Parenthood denounced requests by Attorney General Steve Carter of Indiana and Attorney General Phill Kline of Kansas for patient medical records, arguing that the release of the records violate patients’ privacy and are meant to attack abortion clinics and related health care facilities.

Kansas Attorney General Phil Kline has requested the medical records of 90 women from two Kansas abortion clinics. Indiana Attorney General Steve Carter is seeking records on minors who receive health care services from Planned Parenthood centers.

Planned Parenthood says that demanding the medical records is an abuse of power, meant to intimidate women from seeking abortions or health care from facilities such as Planned Parenthood. Kline and Carter deny the allegations, arguing that the documents are necessary for criminal investigations.

Last week, Planned Parenthood filed a lawsuit to block Carter’s demands for the medical records. Carter maintains that the records will be used to investigate child sexual abuse.

A request has been made to block or restrict the information provided to Kline on the basis of patient privacy. Kline issued a response, arguing that it was Planned Parenthood’s decision to release the names of the patients.

“Planned Parenthood held a news conference presenting their position on why they can defy a court issued subpoena, to announce they would contact women and children who are not suspects in any investigation and to criticize me for speaking to the media about the case,” said Kline.

“Keep in mind I have repeatedly sought to seal the medical records subpoenaed by the District Court and I have asked that the Supreme Court keep this matter under seal. The inconsistencies in the clinic’s news conference are obvious.”
Kline stated that the records are important for investigations in child rape and potential illegal late-term abortions and pledged to respect the privacy of the women and children involved.

“Medical records are used in virtually every violent crime investigation and you never read the name of a child rape victim in the paper,” said Kline. “The only people who are at risk of public exposure are those individuals who have raped innocent children or performed abortions not in compliance with Kansas Law.”

Nope this is dead in the water. Phil Kline was voted out and the new attorney general won't touch Planned Parenthood. This has been shot down and now they can go on hiding these rapes.
