TYPICALLY, gun control is VERY much a Democrat(ic) platform whle the MAJORITY of Republicans either steer clear or support individual Gun ownership.

A handful of republicans (Giuliani, Bloomberg etc.) that support gun control do NOT take away from the FACTS.

Republicans (on the whole) tend to be Against abortion, against gun control, against the gay agenda, PRO death penalty, pro tough defense and national security etc etc.

While the Dems (especially the ultra leftist liberals) tend to disagree on EVERY one of those issues.

There are exceptions to EVERY rule of course. In this case the exceptions PROVE the rule. (when you look into the numbers)
I know this is WAAAAAY off topic...but...what would you like to see done about the "gay agenda"?

It is satire that shows how ridiculous gun control is. It does not do what it is suppose to do.

I want ALL topics to be handled fairly and HONESTLY at a state and federal level.

EVERYONE in America has the right to form coalitions and groups to lobby for change.

What I can not abide is that MANY of them are dishonest, they SAY they want ONE thing while all the while pushing for something else entirely.

PLUS you have the general consensus! It's sort of like how in science ANY research that doesn't line up with the current scientific consensus is typically poo pooed dismissed or villified. ie Global warming, Evolution VS. ID, Sunspots etc.

I don't think that anything needs to be DONE about the gay agenda. I personally am MORE than confident that if ALL the facts are actually laid out on the table, the American people will make the right choices in these debates.

Same as on Abortion. As more and more stuff comes out about the induced labor abortion techniques where they leave babies in the cold and dark to die?

More and MORE people will stop supporting it. They will start to actually SEE that it is the taking of a human life and stop thinking of it as just a "reproductive choice".

Sorry for the rant folks, I was only addressing a direct question.

I am MORE than willing to go back OT or do ANOTHER Spinoff.

    Thanks for your indulgence.

You do know that those "lawful American citizens" in New Orleans had their guns taken away because they were shooting at the guardsmen who were there to help them right? They didn't just go into some random occupied homes and start searching for weapons.

Personally I am against anymore gun control laws and maybe it might be better to abolish all of the old ones and dispose of all of the records. The right to bear arms is in the constitition.

If a criminal wants a gun they can get them illegally, most criminals are not going to buy a gun legally to commit a crime. They don't want that history following them around. Most countries that have had gun control similar to what we got and is invaded and taken over or the government turns on it's own people, those records are right there telling them who owns what and where they live. Most of these people report that they could not defend themselves at all, because the powers that be, came and took their weapons in the very beginning of their takeover.

Make no mistake about it, gun control is for the government's protection, not yours. They are afraid of you! That is why they are sorting through your emails and listening to your phone calls. They are looking for a terrorist and that terrorist is anyone who challenges their agenda.

I used to be all for gun control, until I looked beyond the rhetoric and started investigating things for myself.
Ignorance is bliss but the question is can we afford it?

Well if they are checking mine they must be really bored.

It is funny in FL you have to wait 3 days to receive a handgun after you pay for it - have to pass a background check. If you have a concealed weapons permit you can get it that day. However, guns are NOT registered in the State of FL. I had a guy at work who was from MI and he went to the local police station to register his hand guns when he moved down here and they looked at him like he was crazy.

Yep mine too, but here is the problem with them checking into your private affairs is that you are entitled to your privacy, and until you break a law or show them any reason to, they should not be sifting through or looking at anyone's stuff whether it is boring or not.
