    Isn't This Racism ??

    MEET THE 7-YEAR-OLD RACIST POET
    By Michelle Malkin · March 15, 2006 09:38 AM

    http://michellemalkin.com/

Remember how much media attention those racist white nationalist teen singers received last fall? (Indeed, they're still getting press. Here they are in the most recent issue of GQ. http://men.style.com/gq/features/ful...4207&pageNum=9 )

Well, here's a little experiment with race, double standards, labeling, and MSM bias.

My column today is about Autum Ashante, a 7-year-old racist black nationalist poetry "prodigy."

Autum, of Mount Vernon, N.Y., has performed at HBO's Def Poetry Jam, The Cotton Club in L.A., The Apollo Theater in Harlem, the African Street Festival, Caroline's on Broadway, the Russell Simmons Phat Farm Fashion Show, Steve Harvey's "Big Time," a prestigious Grammy Foundation event, and at universities and other venues across the country. She recites her radical verses not only in English, but also in fluent Swahiili and Arabic (she attended the Islamic Darul Arkam School in Mount Vernon).

Autum has appeared at a tribute to black nationalist Marcus Garvey, America-bashing 9/11 conspiracy-monger Amiri Baraka's annual family cookout, and the extremist New Black Panther Party's Million Youth March. The city of New York honored her with a proclamation for inspiring "her peers, as well as adults, while also demonstrating the power of a father's love, the importance of education and the limitless boundaries of the human mind." New York City councilwoman Yvette Clark called her "one of the most precious young talents that this world has ever known."

Most recently, as New York Post education reporter David Andreatta reported this weekend, she was invited to perform at public middle and high schools in Peekskill, N.Y., for Black History Month. After asking white students to remain seated while she led black students in a recitation of the Black Panthers' Black Child's Pledge, Autum (now home-schooled by her single father, a Nation of Islam member and poet) angrily read this original poem:

White Nationalism Put U In Bondage

White nationalism is what put you in bondage
Pirate and vampires like Columbus, Morgan, and Darwin
Drank the blood of the sheep, trampled all over them with
    Steel, tricks and deceit.
Nothing has changed take a look in our streets
The mis-education of she and Hegro — leaves you on your knee2grow
Black lands taken from your hands, by vampires with no remorse
They took the gold, the wisdom and all of the storytellers
They took the black women, with the black man weak
Made to watch as they changed the paradigm
    Of our village
They killed the blind, they killed the lazy, they went
So far as to kill the unborn baby
Yeah White nationalism is what put you in bondage
Pirates and vampires like Columbus, Morgan, and Darwin
They drank the blood of the sheep, trampled all over them with
Steel laden feet, throw in the tricks alcohol and deceit.
Nothing has changed take a look at our streets.

Complaints from shocked students and parents led to a tape-recorded apology sent to all parents apologizing for the performance. Autum's father condemned white district officials as "racist crackers." Autum defended her poem by explaining to the Westchester Journal News that white people are "devils and they should be gone. We should be away from them and still be in Africa."

She defiantly told the NYPost today: http://www.nypost.com/news/regionalnews/65294.htm

"I feel good about the response," Autum said of the firestorm engulfing the Peekskill City School District, where her recitation of a poem at a high school and a middle school offended students. "I know it was the right thing."

Autum has the backing of NYC councilman and former Black Panther Charles "I want to slap white people" Barron and king of racial demagoguery, Al Sharpton.

    My conclusion:

Who is surprised? If you set aside a separate holiday for Black History Month in the public schools, if you set aside separate graduation ceremonies, college dorms, academic departments, recruiting programs, and government contracts and subcontracts by race, you send a message that hardcore racial separatism is not only acceptable — but desired.

Autum Ashante' is the natural offspring of militant multiculturalism and government-sanctioned identity politics. We reap what we sow.

So here's the experiment : Google "Lamb and Lnyx Gaede," the names of the white nationalist teen singers who have ignited a continuing media firestorm. Now, over the next few days, Google "Autum Ashante."

Will the MSM dare to call Autum and her father's racial hatred what it is? Will pundits and investigative journalists condemn Autum's spoon-fed racism with the same conviction as they did in response to the white nationalist teen stars?

Or will they make excuses and hide behind "diversity" double standards?

And will someone in the MSM have the nerve to ask Sharpton pal Hillary Clinton (who is very outspoken about some kinds of racial extremism) what she thinks about the controversy in her backyard?

    Stay tuned.

Video and pics of Autumn at http://bareknucklepolitics.com/?p=1024

She is a beautiful little girl .... so sad that she has been taught so much anger and hate.

March 14, 2006 — A 7-year-old New York poet has fired up adults following a racially charged performance at a middle school.

Autum Ashante, who is home-schooled and lives with her father in Mount Vernon, was invited by a music teacher to present her poetry during a Black History Month program at Peekskill Middle School on Feb. 28. She has written her own poetry and performed in front of audiences since she was 4.

Before reciting a poem, Ashante asked only the black students in the audience to stand and recite with her the “Black Child’s Pledge” by the Black Panther Party’s Shirley Williams. It begins, “I pledge allegiance to my black people. I pledge to develop my mind and body to the greatest extent possible. I will learn all that I can in order to give my best to my people in their struggle for liberation.”

Ashante then presented her poem “White Nationalism Put U In Bondage,” which rails against Christopher Columbus, J.P. Morgan and Charles Darwin: “White nationalism is what put you in bondage. Pirate and vampires like Columbus, Morgan and Darwin.”

“Black lands taken from your hands, by vampires with no remorse,” the poem states. “They took the gold, the wisdom and all of the storytellers. They took the black women, with the black man weak.”

First, she stood on the City Hall steps with Councilman Charles Barron, who denounced what he described as attacks and harassment since Autum spoke last month at a middle and high school. Barron said he planned to ask Attorney General Eliot Spitzer’s office to look into whether the girl’s free speech rights were violated.

Later, she had an appearance scheduled with the Rev. Al Sharpton.

    "Lamb and Lnyx Gaede

ABC News: Young Singers Spread Racist Hate Oct. 20, 2005 — Thirteen-year-old twins Lamb and Lynx Gaede have one album out, another on the way, a music video, and lots of fans. ...

    www.prussianblue.net/

    Prussian Blue (American duo)

Lamb and Lynx Gaede, wearing "Happy Hitler" T-ShirtPrussian Blue is a white nationalist folk teen duo formed in early 2003 by Lynx Gaede and Lamb Gaede (pronounced GAY-dee), fraternal twin girls born June 30, 1992 and brought up in the United States. Lynx plays violin, Lamb plays guitar, and both of the girls sing.

    History

Lynx and Lamb Gaede first performed together by singing at a white nationalist festival, called Eurofest, in 2001. They began to learn to play instruments in 2002. In 2002 they also appeared on a VH1 special called "Inside Hate Rock". In 2003, they appeared in a Louis Theroux BBC documentary entitled Louis and the Nazis on white supremacy in the United States. Lamb, Lynx and their mother April also appeared in a low-budget 2003 horror called Dark Walker. [1] They recorded and released a debut CD at the end of 2004 called Fragment of the Future (Resistance Records) which had an acoustic folk-rock sound. A year later, they recorded their second album, The Path We Chose, which has a more traditional rock sound including both acoustic and electric guitar. On October 20, 2005, Prussian Blue was featured in a critical segment on ABC's Primetime. The duo toured the US in 2005.

    Ideology

The group has strong ties to the National Vanguard organization, a white nationalist group formed by disaffected former members of the National Alliance. Their ideology has been described as racist and white supremacist in nature by many organizations.

According to an article from ABC News, the girls were homeschooled by their mother, April Gaede, an activist and writer for the white activist organization National Vanguard. The article further discusses the twins' maternal grandfather, who wears a swastika belt buckle, uses the Nazi symbol on his truck and registered it as a cattle brand. The twins have a baby sister named Dresden. Though the family was originally located in Bakersfield, California, the twins' mother, April Gaede, has reportedly sold their home because she prefers to raise her children where more whites are represented. The girls now attend public school in a predominantly white area.

During their ABC interview, the twins said they believe Adolf Hitler was a good man with great ideas, such as eugenic standards and incentives to improve the genetic quality of the German people, and marriage loans to help qualified German families begin upon a firm financial basis. In the interview, the twins described the Holocaust as being exaggerated.

They describe their ancestry as English, Scottish and Prussian. The band was named after the color Prussian blue, as a reference to the girls' Prussian heritage and their blue eyes. They also stated that they think Prussian blue is "just a really pretty color". In an interview with viceland.com they added: "There is also the discussion of the lack of 'Prussian Blue' coloring (Zyklon B residue) in the so-called gas chambers in the concentration camps. We think it might make people question some of the inaccuracies of the 'Holocaust' myth."[6] This is a reference to an investigation of Zyklon B residues made by a couple of Holocaust revisionists, dismissed as pseudo-science by scientists. [7]

They have recently been criticized for stipulating that money they donated to Hurricane Katrina victims should go only to white people.

It is reported that "their on stage antics include executing the Sieg Heil salutes".

    Lyrics and influences

Most of the songs on Prussian Blue's first album are covers of white nationalist songs. The majority of those were written by David Lane, Ian Stuart, and Ken McLellan. Two of Prussian Blue's songs on their first album are dedicated to famous Nazis and neo-Nazi activists such as Rudolf Hess and Robert Jay Mathews. One of those songs, which was written by Lamb, is "Sacrifice":

    Rudolf Hess, man of Peace

He wouldn't give up and he wouldn't cease
Remember him and give a pause
    Robert Mathews knew the Truth
He knew what he had to do
He set an example with Courage so bold
We'll never let that fire grow cold
The cover songs the duo choose to include on their album invoke ideas like Valhalla and Vinland, taken from Norse mythology and sagas. These themes aim to draw from Richard Wagner's use in the context of nativism, thereby aiming to revive beliefs in the cleansing of the so-called "Aryan race".

The debut single for their second album The Stranger is adapted from a poem by Rudyard Kipling who ostensibly supported the concept of white supremacy in many of his writings, most notably in The White Man's Burden.

On their blog Prussian Blue recently released a song called "Ocean Warriors" in mp3 format, dedicated to white participants in the 2005 Sydney, Australia race rioting.

[b]Mag tells 'Nazi' singers: Heil, no!
By BILL HAMMOND and NANCY DILLON
    DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITERS

Teen People nixed a story about Hitler-loving teenybopper twins Prussian Blue - amid outrage that the glossy had promised to avoid the words "hate," "supremacist" and "Nazi" in its piece on the racist singing sisters.

A Web-based teaser for the February story originally called the hatemongering duo "aspiring musicians" and compared them to wide-eyed sensations Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

The only hint that 13-year-old Lynx and Lamb Gaede praise Hitler, call the Holocaust an "exaggeration" and count former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke among their fans was a watered-down description of their message as "white pride."

"The last thing we need is to celebrate hate in this country," said Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, who helped lead a Monday demonstration outside the office of Teen People's parent company Time Warner. "I'm absolutely thrilled it's not running."

Time's initial response to the protest was the added mention of the girls' white separatist mom, National Vanguard member April Gaede, in the Web-based teaser.

Hours later, the company yanked the entire project. "During an editorial review of this assignment, we learned that a junior employee made unauthorized assurances to the mother of the Gaede twins regarding the prohibition of certain words in the story," said Time spokeswoman Ali Zalenko.

She said that promise violated company policy, and added an investigation was underway.

A Time source said the interview with the twins was completed, but a final draft of the story had yet to be finished. "I applaud Time for doing the right thing and realizing this was dangerous," said state Assemblyman Dov Hikind, another leader of Monday's rally. "Why present these two neo-Nazis to the magazine's 1.6 million young readers without any mention they deny the Holocaust? They were going to help them sell more CDs."

The freckled twins from Bakersfield, Calif., call nonwhites "muds" and play a video game called "Ethnic Cleansing." They wear tartan plaid skirts and Hitler smiley face shorts - and croon songs that glorify the Third Reich.

A song called "Sacrifice" praises Hitler deputy Rudolf Hess as "a man of peace. He wouldn't give up, he wouldn't cease. He gave his loyalty to our cause."

As well the child would embrace a noble cause IF she chooses to develop her mind and body to its fullest potential then give back to her community as much as she can... But it is hard for me to see that will come true with the ideals that surround this ah so noble principle to develop herself to her potential.

Then could you just say something like :

“I pledge allegiance to the human race. I pledge to develop my mind and body to the greatest extent possible. I will learn all that I can in order to give my best to my community.”

But could you imagine if the minority kids had to sit and listen to the white kids :

“I pledge allegiance to my white race. I pledge to develop my mind and body to the greatest extent possible. I will learn all that I can in order to give my best to my people in their struggle.”

I don't think they would be any city officials holding a press conference on the steps of City Hall to defend their civil rights.

It's only racism if it involves Caucasians. This child prodigy will not be classified as a "racist" cause he's african american not caucasian.

In the eyes of many, only the caucasians can be racists. Which I think it BS, any individual no matter the color of their skin can be racist.

    Exterminating Whitey
    Oct 21, 2005
    by Mike S. Adams

Columnist Jon Sanders of the John Locke Foundation in Raleigh, NC has written a blog entry that reveals just how easy it is to get a job teaching Africana Studies at N.C. State University. It also demonstrates how the diversity movement is bringing people together in the great state of North Carolina.

Sanders’ recent blog directs readers to C-SPAN online, where they can click on the recent archives and scroll down until they find the "Black Media Forum on the Image of Black Americans in Mainstream Media." This was a program presented on October 14th at Howard University. Dr. Kamau Kambon makes his appearance about three hours into the four-hour event.

Dr. Kambon's closing remarks – given about twenty minutes before the program’s conclusion - are chilling:

And then finally I want to say that we need one idea, and we're not thinking about a solution to the problem. We're thinking about all these other things, but we're not dealing with a solution to the problem. And we have to start to think about a solution to the problem so that these young brothers and sisters who are here now, who are 15, 16 or 17, are not here 25 years later talking about these same problems.

Now how do I know that the white people know that we are going to come up with a solution to the problem? I know it because they have retina scans, they have what they call racial profiling, DNA banks, and they’re monitoring our people to try to prevent the one person from coming up with the one idea. And the one idea is, how we are going to exterminate white people because that in my estimation is the only conclusion I have come to. We have to exterminate white people off the face of the planet to solve this problem. Now I don’t care whether you clap or not, but I’m saying to you that we need to solve this problem because they are going to kill us. And I will leave on that. So we just have to just set up our own system and stop playing and get very serious and not be diverted from coming up with a solution to the problem and the problem on the planet is white people.
Dr. Kambon also said that "white people want to kill you … because that is part of their plan" and that “the only n**ger on the planet is the white man and the white woman, and our people are not n**gers, they are imitation n**gers.”

An official at N.C. State University claims that Dr. Kambon - once a visiting professor being paid by the taxpayers of North Carolina – is no longer affiliated with the university. But, if that is true, why is he still listed on the university’s Africana Studies faculty page?

After you visit that site, I bet you’ll have the same question. And, like me, I hope you’ll write the Africana Studies Department (afs@social.chass.ncsu.edu) demanding an answer. And, while you’re at it, ask them why they hired a genocidal racist in the first place.

His name is Dr. Kamau Kambon, an affiliated faculty instructor at NC State University. http://www.chass.ncsu.edu/ids/afs/faculty.html

E-mail the school's Africana Studies department at afs@social.chass.ncsu.edu.

If that doesn't work, try this: chancellor@ncsu.edu.

Jon Sanders at Carolina Journal has more:
    http://carolinajournal.com/exclusives/disp...ve.html?id=2869

Prior to his call for genocide against white people, Kambon, who owns Blacknific[e]nt Books in Raleigh, told the panel that “we are at war.” He said that white people had set up an "international plantation" for blacks, which made “every white person on earth a plantation master.” He said that, “You’re either supporting white people in their process of death, or you're for African liberation.”

He stressed one point in particular. “White people want to kill us. I want you to understand that. They want to kill you,” he said. “They want to kill you because that is part of their plan.”

Kambon closed his remarks by urging participants and C-SPAN viewers to "get very serious and not be diverted from coming up with a solution to the problem, and the problem on the planet is white people."

Before teaching at NCSU, Kambon was a professor of education at St. Augustine's College in Raleigh, a historically black institution. He was given a Citizen's Award in 1999 by the Triangle’s left-wing newspaper, The Independent Weekly.

Ironically, Kambon is also an opponent of the death penalty.

Excerpts of Kambon's address may be heard online at the John Locke Foundation's blog site The Locker Room. The full remarks may be found at C-SPAN online (www.cspan.com) by searching the recent programs for "Black Media Forum on Image of Black Americans in Mainstream Media."

    ***

If there were such thing as a truly fair and balanced media, you'd have already seen as many stories about Kambon's comments as there were about Bill Bennett's comments, which were taken wildly out of context.

Million Moan March: a closer look at the speakers

    http://michellemalkin.com/archives/003726.htm

If you tune into C-SPAN right now, you will hear a lot of angry bloviating and blaming. The 10th anniversary of the Million M[o]an March is here and Farrakhan's fulminators have seized the day in D.C. I've just finished watching "Maulana" Ron Karenga, who fabricated the Kwanzaa holiday," and implored the attendees of the Millions More March to remember their history, fight oppression, and restore equal relations between black men and women.

Speaking of history, oppression, and damaged relations between men and women, it's worth remembering Karenga's own past. Paul Mulshine at Front Page Magzine reported on Karenga's conviction for torturing two women who were members of "US (United Slaves)," a black nationalist cult Karenga founded:

A May 14, 1971, article in the Los Angeles Times described the testimony of one of them: "Deborah Jones, who once was given the Swahili title of an African queen, said she and Gail Davis were whipped with an electrical cord and beaten with a karate baton after being ordered to remove their clothes. She testified that a hot soldering iron was placed in Miss Davis' mouth and placed against Miss Davis' face and that one of her own big toes was tightened in a vise. Karenga, head of US, also put detergent and running hoses in their mouths, she said."

Back then, it was relatively easy to get information on the trial. Now it's almost impossible. It took me two days' work to find articles about it. The Los Angeles Times seems to have been the only major newspaper that reported it and the stories were buried deep in the paper, which now is available only on microfilm. And the microfilm index doesn't start until 1972, so it is almost impossible to find the three small articles that cover Karenga's trial and conviction on charges of torture. That is fortunate for Karenga. The trial showed him to be not just brutal, but deranged. He and three members of his cult had tortured the women in an attempt to find some nonexistent "crystals" of poison. Karenga thought his enemies were out to get him.

And in another lucky break for Karenga, the trial transcript no longer exists. I filed a request for it with the Superior Court of Los Angeles. After a search, the court clerk could find no record of the trial. So the exact words of the black woman who had a hot soldering iron pressed against her face by the man who founded Kwanzaa are now lost to history. The only document the court clerk did find was particularly revealing, however. It was a transcript of Karenga's sentencing hearing on Sept. 17, 1971.

A key issue was whether Karenga was sane. Judge Arthur L. Alarcon read from a psychiatrist's report: "Since his admission here he has been isolated and has been exhibiting bizarre behavior, such as staring at the wall, talking to imaginary persons, claiming that he was attacked by dive-bombers and that his attorney was in the next cell. … During part of the interview he would look around as if reacting to hallucination and when the examiner walked away for a moment he began a conversation with a blanket located on his bed, stating that there was someone there and implying indirectly that the 'someone' was a woman imprisoned with him for some offense. EXTERMINATING WHITEY UPDATE
    By Michelle Malkin · October 24, 2005 05:26 PM

    http://michellemalkin.com/archives/2005_10.htm

From the chancellor's office at North Carolina State University:

Dr. Kamau Kambon's remarks have received widespread coverage on various websites, blogs and in the media. In some cases, it has been incorrectly reported that Kambon is an employee of NC State. Kambon sporadically taught at North Carolina State University on an as-needed basis. He has not been employed by the university since June 30, 2005. When I learned of his comments, I released the following statement:

The remarks recently attributed to one of our former employees do not in any way represent the values and standards of the university. This type of speech is counter to any reasoned discussion on the issue of race relations, and is absolutely unacceptable in the NC State community.

Thank you for your concern and email.

    Sincerely,
    Larry A. Nielsen
Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for
    Academic Affairs

    Glad to hear it.

Meantime, there's a trickle of MSM coverage coming in. Here's the AP report.

N.C. State Distances Itself from Instructor

(10/24/05 - RALEIGH) - North Carolina State University has distanced itself from comments made by an occasional instructor who recently said blacks must "exterminate white people off the face of the planet."

Kamau Kambon, an author who taught in N.C. State's Africana Studies program as recently as this past spring, made the comments Oct. 14 during a conference at Howard University in Washington, D.C., that was televised nationally by C-SPAN.

The conference was organized to discuss mainstream media coverage of racial issues after Hurricane Katrina.

Kambon explained how he grew up in Brooklyn and eventually began to wonder why so many of his black friends were dying. He concluded that the reason was systematic oppression by a society designed and run by whites. "We have to exterminate white people off the face of the planet to solve this problem ...," he said. "So we just have to just set up our own system and stop playing and get very serious and not be diverted from coming up with a solution to the problem, and the problem on the planet is white people."

Lawrence Guyot, a civil rights leader and speaker at the conference, immediately challenged the remarks, warning that blacks can't work toward full freedom with "racial fanaticism."

Opio Sokoni, a filmmaker and broadcaster who helped organize the event, also has distanced himself from Kambon's remarks.

Kambon, who owns a store in Raleigh called Blacknificent Books, said he was aware of the controversy but wouldn't comment on it.

Citing personnel laws, N.C. State officials refused to discuss why Kambon was hired. But they have denounced the remarks. "This type of speech is counter to any reasoned discussion on the issue of race relations and is absolutely unacceptable in the N.C. State community," said N.C. State Provost Larry Nielsen, who oversees academic programs at the university.

He said Kambon taught at the school occasionally between the spring of 2001 and the spring of 2005.

N.C. State spokesman Keith Nichols on Sunday said Kambon taught at the school on an "as needed" basis and wasn't slated to return even before his comments on Oct. 14. Nichols said he didn't know why Kambon wasn't rehired this school year and couldn't discuss whether he'd ever be hired again by the university.

    EXTERMINATE WHITEY: THE VIDEO
    By Michelle Malkin · October 27, 2005 08:36 AM

The Political Teen has the full video of Kamau Kambon's murder-minded remarks at the Million Moan March a few weeks ago. http://thepoliticalteen.net/2005/10/26/kamaukambon/

Some coverage of the Million man March : http://michellemalkin.com/archives/003726.htm

He also has video of a Howard University law grad who appeared on The O'Reilly Factor last night justifying Kambon's genocidal thoughts.

Remember Professor Kamau Kambon who was in the limelight last week for advocating the extinction and killing of white people? Well, one of his apologists, Opio Sokoni appeared on The Factor Tonight to excuse Kambon by naming instances when evil whitey screwed up. According to his logic, two wrongs equal a right.

    WATERMELON MATH
    By Michelle Malkin · April 11, 2006 08:20 PM

    http://michellemalkin.com/archives/004972.htm

I've been getting lots of e-mail about an idiotic math question reportedly crafted by a Bellevue (WA) Community College professor that takes a racist swipe at Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. Here's a message forwarded to me from Rev. Wayne Perryman of Mercer Island, Wa.:

Dear Friends: The following sample math problem was given to students as part of their final exam at Bellevue Community College in Washington State. I was asked by black students to represent them in this matter. Some of these students attend my church. I am asking all of you and your friends to e-mail the school at the following e-mail addresses and express your outrage: Advising@bcc.ctc.edu, tpritcha@bcc.ctc.edu, and amatsumo@bcc.ctc.edu.

The following is the math problem given to the students.

Condoleezza holds a watermelon just over the edge of the roof of the 300 -foot Federal Building, and tosses it up with a velocity of 20 feet per second. The height of the watermelon above the ground t seconds later is given by formula h= -16t2 + 20t + 300

    a. How many seconds will it pass her (she's standing at a height of 300 feet) on the way down?

    b. When will the watermelon hit ground?

If they used this same problem and substituted Condoleezza's name with Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton, there would be mass protest and they would shut the college down. Because it was Condoleezza Rice, they wanted to ignore it until I showed up today. Please e-mail the college and express your outrage and your support of having me at the table to resolve this issue. I am demanding that the college to do several things to correct the problem.

This is serious. Please do not let me down, I want thousands of e-mails to come from all across the country. A CBS affiliate, KIRO TV did cover this story.

    Rev. Wayne Perryman

    Reader Gary M. e-mails:

This is no joke. I listened to a radio interview with a school spokeman this afternoon on the John Carlson show here in the Seattle area. The spokesman denounced the question but accepted at face value the instructor's claim that it was an unintentional reference, and he defended the instructor's 1st Amendment right to say what he wants.

Condi Rice has withstood far worse, far uglier slights in her life. But this is another telling little example of the acceptability of liberal bigotry and racial double standards.

Remember the national brouhaha over Fuzzy Zoeller's fried chicken comments about Tiger Woods? http://www.cnn.com/US/9704/21/fuzzy/

    WATERMELON MATH, PT. II
    By Michelle Malkin · April 13, 2006 10:02 AM

Two days ago, I reported on an idiotic math question crafted by a Bellevue (WA) Community College professor that took a racist swipe at Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Today, the Seattle Times follows up: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/loca...599_bcc13e.html

Bellevue Community College President Jean Floten apologized Wednesday at an emotional open-campus meeting called after students complained about what they said was a racially offensive math question used on a practice test.

Floten praised the courage of the students who brought the question to the college's attention, and promised that the college would redouble its efforts to improve racial and cultural sensitivity on campus, including increasing staff training and creating an ombudsman position.

"We called this meeting, and we had the courage to meet each other and learn from each other and put that learning to use," Floten said.

The hour-and-a-half meeting, attended by more than 150 people, opened an important dialog (sic), but more needs to be done, said Chelsey Richardson, one of the students who brought the issue to college officials.

When she felt her concerns weren't taken seriously, Richardson went to the media and to the Rev. Wayne Perryman, a Mercer Island civil-rights activist. Perryman sent out an e-mail to friends across the country, some of whom belong to conservative and civil-rights groups...
In keeping with the CYA mentality of the education establishment, the college "declined to release the name of the teacher who wrote the question. Floten said the teacher has apologized and requested cultural-sensitivity training."

There are other reasons to be vexed about the dumb math problem.

    Reader Richard e-mails:

I was appalled reading the math problem that was such an obvious racist swipe at the Secretary of State.

What I don't understand is why the formula for the height of the watermelon was given. Everyone knows it's -1/2gt^2 + vt + h. Not only is the instructor a racist, but he's a stupid as well.

Reader David Hemmer, a math professor at the University of Toledo, agrees: It must have been a remedial class:

Condoleezza holds a watermelon just over the edge of the roof of the 300 -foot Federal Building, and tosses it up with a velocity of 20 feet per second. The height of the watermelon above the ground t seconds later is given by formula h= -16t2 + 20t + 300

The 300 foot height and the 20 feet per second should allow the students to DERIVE the given formula for the height at time t.

Seems that the only people to comment on this thread have been Chiizii & Bliss .... but the ones throwing the "race card" on the immigration issue neglect to notice "real" hate-filled racism when it fails to meet their scenerio.

    hhhhhmmmmm......
