Hummingbird in a Jar........
Okay he didn't come that way. LOL
My dh saw him in our garage window and thought it was one of those big moths and then realized it was a hummingbird. He caught it and yelled at me. I thought he was joking. Anyway we put it in there long enough JUST to take a couple of pix and pet him. Boy I never thought I would get to pet one!!! I LOVE hummingbirds!! So that was cool. We let him fly out on his own so as not to break a wing etc. He flew out and he is fine. I think he was smelling my cannas in front of the garage and then flew in the big door that was partially open.

Amazing. Aren't they so tiny and fragile? We have alot of them around our feeders but never ever have touched one. You are soooo lucky. They seem almost "forbidden" to touch or maybe impossible (can't find the right word to describe what I am talking about.). Thanks so much for sharing these pics. They are just awesome.

oh how pretty!!
I have 2 feeders out on the front porch and love to watch them. They swarm and dive at eachother and you can hear them make a squaking kind of noise. They get close to you. I remember one year the front door was open and one flew into the house, the kids were smaller, so they ran and got their big bug net and caught it, and we sat and looked at it for a couple of minutes and pet it then let it outside. They are sooo beautiful and I love to watch them.
Thanx for sharing the pictures.

How kewl is that !! I love hummingbirds ! I bet that one is scared shîtless ! LOL!
We used to put out the red sugar water, but the ants would always get to it... but, they're still around, they drink water from our air conditioner !

I think they are adorable. So tiny. I haven't seen one in years. I'd love to get a bird feeder and see if I can attact some.

So cool and I love your garden. Some people can sit very still with the sugar water and have them come right up to them to drink. I would probably just be eaten up by mosquitoes.

We just recently moved and I saw one here the other day. They are beautiful! I would love to get the feeders but we already have problems with ants and I know that would just make it worse.
Thanks for sharing the pics. It is cool to see one that close. I also love your garden, its very pretty.
