22 lbs lost and I am starting to like what I see again in pics!
Well, believe it or not, I decided on Christmas Day that it was time to shed some weight....so here I am today, 22 lbs lighter and feeling great! I am actually starting to like what I see in the mirror and in pictures again.

Thanks pepperpot! I am doing several things and the combo seems to be working for me.
1) I have cut out as much sugar as I can. I use splenda or an artificial sweetener in my coffee and tea. I do not drink any more sodas at all. Coffee, tea, or water only. Sometimes I will put a pack of that crystal light in my water just to give it some flavor.
2) I still eat three meals a day, breakfast being the main one, I pretty much eat what I want in responsible portions for breakfast. At lunch I stick with fruit and yogurt and for dinner I eat what ever I fix for everyone else. I just use a smaller plate, like a bread plate and when I finish, I get up and walk away from it. No more seconds or desert. If I really, really start to get hungry late in the day, I grab one of those 100 calorie snack packs then I am good to go.
3) I never eat anything after 7pm anymore, period.
Just following these few rules has helped me tremendously. I have forced myself to look at food as a fuel for my body and not as something to comfort me. I realize now, just how little I really need to eat, compared to what I used to eat.
My energy level is the highest it has been in at least 20 years. I am 38 and people are telling me that I look younger now than I did years ago. I have gotten excited about my life and I wake up each morning ready to face what ever the day has in store for me! I am changing from the inside out and it feels really good too.
Thanks everyone for your kind words and encouragement. This is not an easy thing for sure, but the rewards are already fully present in my mind and in the way I feel, so I am stoked to keep on going....50 more to lose!

WOW congrats!!! I am doing the same as you and if you ever wanna chat pm me. I have been doing that since the first and have lost 16 which is cool but a long ways to go lol. Check out www.50millionpounds.com, thats what I follow. Not saying yours isn't better just gives you great meal plans:0) Good luck on your goal and all we need is to be strong and we can do anything!!!
They say to avoid plateaus(sp) to make sure each week is a different calorie intake. Like this week I am doing 1300 calories, next week will be 1100, following will be 1400. Just thought I would share that with ya.
LOTS and Lots of wishes sending your way.

It's not really 3 meals its 4 or 5 smaller meals. My hardest was to eat breakfast cause I normally never ate till noonish. I do feel like I am eating alllll the time lol.
