The only ones I've saw that big are called portabellos & are at wal*mart - lol!
Never had one that huge in my yard.

I think it is a toadstool and it's poisonous. So don't even touch them without washing your hands. At least my SIL who is a nurse told me to wash my hands after handling them.
Mushrooms grow in special conditions not found in people's yards. I need to do a search.

I found this. Last sentence---- I would not trust it.
Whilst these toadstools in the lawn are not harmful to the grass, they could be poisonous if eaten.

It's big, but I agree with Janelle..my mom always told us when we were little to NOT touch the mushrooms growing in the yard...she would get garden gloves and throw them away
