Thanks. It's a beautiful place but traveling there with a 22 month old potty training, yikes. It was a little over a 2 hour drive but it seemed like forever. I have some pictures of the falls in my link, I just didn't post them.

Sweet ! We just got back from there last week... well, it was one of our stops. We have a time share chalet at Canaan Valley, just 9 mile south of Blackwater... it had rained a lot before we went, so, the falls were in rare form !

The new boardwalk rocks !

We are in that area often, maybe 4 or 5 times a year... that's heavy bear country too !

We were just there last Sunday. A couple from Ohio was telling us about the 4 hour train ride through the Canaan Vally. Yes, the boardwalk is awesome. A LOT of steps, but well worth it. The falls were really fast. My daugther didn't know what to think about getting wet on her way down to see them LOL.

Yes, I could tell by your pics that the falls were really rockin' !

They were when we were there too. We've had a lot of rain this spring, makes for 'wild' water !

I love their gift shop and snack bar at the falls... the lodge is beautiful too... dang, now I wanna go back ! LOL!

We always sit around the gift shop/snack bar by teh falls all afternoon, watch the people come and go, from EVERYWHERE ! We watch license plates...lol

Haven't been there for 30 years. We used to go every year when I was a kid-thanks for the pictures.
