Twice this week on ebay they had a sale on Xbox Live 12 Month Gold Subscription Card. But there are not details and I'm not xbox savvy and my son doesn't know either. My question is: If I buy this on ebay, is the code good for whenever? My son just renewed his subscription for a year. I thought I would be ahead of the game for next year if I bought this now, waited for his subscription to expire, and then use this one I would buy on ebay. any suggestions or help would be appreciated.......tia

Yes, buying a gold card just adds more time so if you have a year buy a card you have 2 years

A lot of times you can find the 12+1 cards for around $30 at Amazon or Buy.com. You might also want to check out the forums on cheapassgamer.com, they're pretty good at helping find deals.

now I just have to figure out how to stop xbox from automatically billing my credit card. my son did this and he doesn't have a clue where to go to fix this.

When on the xbox go to Account settings and remove billing info... So when his time is up it will go to a silver account

then it will prompt for payment for gold?

No if you take off your billing info it will just drop to a silver account... Like you buy a card enter the code now... Take off billing info in 2 years when its up it will just be a silver account...
