I guess I am the odd one out. I bought one time from Angel food ministries. I kind of felt like the meat was all the undesirable cuts of chicken or beef. I got chicken nuggets that looked like they were mainly filler. Eggs, and desserts and ketsup, things like that are fine. But the food that counted, that I was serving to my kids for a meal, didn't cut it with me.

We have been getting angel food and another food program that some churches in my area (Eastern panhandle of WV) have switched to called Great Food For All. In my opinion, the great food for all is a better value with quantity of food for the same price. I think some curches were afraid that their regular purchasers of angel food would be left hanging if the government (FBI) probe of angel food ministries would shut them down so they switched to the great food program.
Here is the link to their menu http://www.greatfoodforall.com/343744.ihtml
We have found that by buying both and several of the bonus packages, it gives us much more variety than we could get at the grocery store for comparable price.

Just thought I would share with those that are using Angel Food Ministries that as of August, you do not have to purchase the Signature Box in order to place a special box order. Also, for those that have not tried it, we got our first box last saturday and I love it! We ordered the signature box, the t-bone box, mixed grill box, and fruit and vegetable box. It was well worth the $97 we paid. After adding everything up, we would have paid around $200 for all the food we received.

I've never personally tried it myself although sometimes it seems like they have good deals. I would always watch the price though. The "seafood" one that jasmine posted is not a good deal. I can get all that stuff for about $10 cheaper between Walmart and Aldi's.
