any deals on surround sound?

getting ready to buy it with my taxes for hubby and wated to see if there are good deals. prefer one with out a dvd player,since we have 2

Don't know of any deals.

We bought a Phillips brand set: included receiver, 5-disc DVD/CD changer, and 5 speakers and subwoofer over a year ago at Best Buy. We love it. It is by all standards a "cheap" set when you look at what is out there. The difference in sound, even with a digital TV is amazing. You don't have to go expensive to get a great effect.

It was $399 when we bought it. The 5 disc changer is nice. I can use it to play music cds and get the benefit of the sound system.

Kenwood Digital Surround Sound System with Receiver no DVD player retails at 699 , wholesale 449 at The savings place.com ...I don't know much about electronics will look for other deals.
