Help for New Ebay Seller. Need Display Piece. - Big Big Forums

I am just starting to sell clothing on Ebay and I've noticed that alot of the "power sellers" who sell clothing have either full or partial body manequins to display their clothing. especially with items like lingerie. I was wondering if anyone here could give me info on how to go about acquiring one. I don't need one with a head and arms or anything just the torso if that would be cheaper and preferably female since I will be dealing mostly with lingerie. I know that some people use them for sewing and I was wondering if I could find one at a fabric store or something like that. I just can't pay alot for it. It doesn't have to be new just in good shape. Thanks

Go to Ebay and type "mannequin" in the search box, you will get LOTS (over 1000) of hits. They seem to start at abotu $15 for what you are wanting. Ive seen some expensive ones, but just styrofoam, torso ones are fairly cheap.

Yeah, right after I posted this I thought about that. I was really looking for the self standing ones because the cheap ones you have to hang on something and they are only half body(their hollow inside). I think they will probably do for now though. I've already bid on one. I hope it will work.

If worse comes to worse, try stuffing the back with newspapers or something. Im sure you could figure out a way to get it to stand (sit?) on a stool or something. If you lived close to me, Id figure it out for you.

The only problem with the ones on the stands... watch what you are bidding on because.... (and it didn't hit me until I had one LOL) You can't take photos of shorts and pants on most of them!
