Couple to Give Away House in Free Competition

A debt-ridden couple is hosting a online competition where one lucky winner will walk away with a new house.

Michelle and Paul Wood, both 50, are inviting people to compete for their $679k (£425,000) West Yorkshire home by answering a series of questions on their Web site correctly, a story by the Telegraph said. Potential advertisers can buy one of 200 advertising spaces on the site, which the couple says they hope will bring in anywhere from $1.4 - $1.6 million, the story said. That would allow the couple to pay off all their debt.

The 120-year-old detached stone house has 2-bedrooms and is built on 1,800-square-feet of land. The competition starts Nov. 2, and you can enter at www.winahouseforfree.com

Yep I think I would check into back taxes if its anything like here in the states. Because if they are behind on them someone could buy it right out from under them anyway.....
If NOT then I would still want to know before I got in on something like this so I know what I'm getting IN on.....
