First, you have to register at their website. Try it again if it didn't work for you the first time. Sometimes, it takes time before their emails start showing up in your inbox. Occasionally, your emails will contain coupons for you to print up.
I believe then when you make purchases at BBW, if I remember right, they ask you for your phone number which they input into their register. Your phone number is a reference that tells them who you are and links them to all your other information (address, etc.) in their system. This also tells them when you made a purchase and what you bought.
Based on this, I guess, as a reward, they may send you snailmail with two coupons in it from time to time. One is a coupon for a freebie with a purchase (full size product) and the other is for $10.00 off a $35.00 purchase (best deal you can get from them).
The last ones I got had an expiration date of 5/9/04. I hope they send me another one soon, but I expect I won't get another one until sometime after this 75% sale is over!!
