My mom had one of these sent to me for my wedding. I have to say I was quite surprised to receive a card from the president! Cool.

That is a good link to save for the babies and weddings!

Says requests must be 6 weeks in advance and before January 20th, 2009....I wonder if Obama will do the same...my parents 50th anniversary is in June!

I've done this before for birthdays and new babies but forgot about it and my Mom's 80th is in January. So thank you for reminding me (I just filled out the request)!!!

Thanks! I did this for each of my children's births and because of your reminder, I just did one for my grandfather who turns 80 on Tuesday.

Can somebody help me here please? I filled out the form for my new born grandson, received an email and was told to submit the email addy back for processing. It was not clickable. So I cut copied and pasted, and then tried typing in the long email confirmation email addy, and, when I tried both ways, the return email addy kept on bouncing back and informing me it was not workable. Any help from you will be greatly appreciated. Please tell me what I am doing wrong. Thanks.

Squirt661, I don't know what is happening with that. Maybe try to go back and re-submit it?

I did this when my daughter was born and it is just so cool to put in the baby's scrapbook for them to see years from now and learn who was president when they were born. Mom2-3boys...all presidents do this. I think the January 20 deadline is for Bush as he will be leaving office.
TimTim is my joy...TimTim is my dog.....I'm just a girl using his name.....and now he wants it back!

I tried it again and I still cannot get mine to work, so I guess like they said on the site, if it does not work, I will have to either fax or write the information to them. Thanks again for this post.
