Free Printable Pecs or Picture Symbols for kids with autism or disabilities - Big Big Forums

These are great websites for those who use pecs (picture exchange communication system) with there children. My son is autistic and we use these all the time to communicate his needs. Anyone who has ordered these online know that they get to be expensive via cd or website. Make your own and save a bunch of money.

http://trainland.tripod.com/pecs.htm -- Excellent color pictures -- half way down the page..

http://www.autistas.org/pecs.htm -- This site is great. The website is another language, but the pecs are in english.

http://www.dotolearn.com/ -- This is site I made my first pecs book for my son. The website is very informable. The black and white pecs are free, and you can do 1 inch, or 2 inch pecs or coloring pages.

Please add your own, as I am always looking for more symbols, or speech pages. Thanks.. Saundra

Check out Mrs. Riley at http://mrsriley.com - It's a new site for making and printing symbols (and photos too) right in your browser. Speech Language Pathologists, Autism Therapists, and Parents of Kids with Autism and other special needs will find it to be a great resource for making flash cards, picture schedules, communication boards, etc.

http://kidscandream.net has a list of free pecs pages and 220 free printable social stories.

note : I am not trying to advertise my daughters website, but it is not always easy finding free pecs or social stories for those with disablities. This has a lot of items at the website for parents of autistic children. But if you delete this post I understand.
