The cost for him is 5. dollars for a 3 month supply. I would like to thank all the people who post these medical links you may not realize it but many people use these includding myself some of my neighbors that I inform also. thanks again.

Re: Patient assistance programs-helpingpatients.org/

Just want to say God Bless to all of you. It's sad to know that in our great country our medical concerns are so bad that we are just like a 3rd world country. What happened? We can put people into outerspace for millions of dollars but we can't find a way to stop the big companies from making money on our health problems. It's so sad. I don't take my blood pressure medicine because even with my blue cross blue shield, I still have to pay a $40 co-pay. What kind of a country do we live in? I think when it's time to retire, I'm going to move to Canada and become a dual citizen.

Re: Patient assistance programs-helpingpatients.org/

Yeah lots of people are using these companies and help lines.. That is because of Hillary's reform when it went into place lots of people cheered because it was going to SAVE so much money.. I knew one day it would hit home and hit those folks in the butt one day.. Now lots of people are in the same boat some of which cheered the latter...

I know I will get alot of comments off this so don't bother I'm not checking back LOL

The bible tells ya to take care of the fatherless children..

Re: Patient assistance programs-helpingpatients.org/

Yes. There is a dental one. Contact your local dental association (http://www.gadental.org/ - I haven't checked out the site, just wanted to provide the link). They have programs in every county in each state where dentists volunteer to take certain patients who qualify. I just did this one for my husband.

Also, I'd like to add https://www.pparx.org/Intro.php. This site will have you give your information, and then give you a list of what programs are available to you. HOWEVER... it doesn't hurt to do some research on your own.

Go to the Library (with note paper and pencil) and get Mathew Lesko's book. Its an incredible resource, and you may find other programs not related to medications that you're eligible for. I did this one because Hubby lost his job due to mass layoffs when Kellogg's closed their plant. There are tons of programs out there for displaced workers.... even if you aren't a displaced worker, there are programs where you can get money you can use.

For instance... I am eligible for a program that will pay for my Medicare part B. That's wonderful, because I NEED that coverage and cannot afford it. I am also eligible for the Medicare part "D" program, where they I will get prescription coverage for a percentage of the cost of the medication, and they will pay the first $600.00 of them.

I hope this helps. This is a great thread.

Linda
