Thank you so much! I take 2 different bp meds plus another and the cost is so high that I've seriously considered not taking them, but I don't want a heart attack. I've also got a brother and a friend with epilepsy and their meds are very high.

VALENA-)45 - Another website to check out...

http://www.quitnet.com/ This site has a lot of free things available to help in the quest to quit. These are my stats...Time Smoke-Free: 6 days, 20 hours, 6 minutes and 40 seconds
Cigarettes NOT smoked: 123
Lifetime Saved: 22 hours
Money Saved: $23.62
It will give you this info on a daily basis, a little incentive. I am already planning on what I will do with all that extra money! I hope it helps!

here's another one

http://www.lillyanswers.com

they'll send you an application form. once you're accepted it's a 12.00 co-pay for any med they make

hubby is taking forteo, the new med for osteoporosis. so this is a big help.

even with the discounts we get we still pay out over 300.00 a month for our meds.

Thumbs up

One post like this makes this whole forum worthwhile! I'm a nurse, and recently someone of limited financial means asked me for info on how to get help with rx's, as she can't afford them. She is diabetic. This post has more info than anything I came up with...I will pass it on. Thanks so much, from me and from everyone you've helped by posting.

QUESTION???

Are all of these links for medications only-- or do any of them cover the cost of doctor's visits and surgeries?? Without insurance, I can't even get an appointment anywhere and we do not have a local "free" clinic. I have an umbilical hernia which desperately needs repair but can't even get in to see a doctor, much less talk about surgery.

THANKS!!
