Talking Homemade Soap and Salt Rubs?

Good morning!
I am looking for recipes or links for homemade soap, preferably the "no lye" types. I have done tons of internet searches but 99% of it resulted in lye soaps! I would also like to make some salt rubs/body scrubs too. Does anyone have any favorites, or know of any sites? I am really excited about making some, but I just don't have enough info to get started. Thanks you very much!

Hi all soap is made with lye.
What you can do, however is purchase ready made "melt and pour" glycerine soap and use that as an alternative since it has already cured and you won't need to be in direct contact with the lye. You can find melt and pour glycerine soap at Joann Fabrics & crafts although it is expensive there. Keep looking on the internet if you don't mind purchasing that way- I guarantee you will find better prices!! You can find really pretty molds colors and fragrances too!

Good Luck & Have fun!

Sorry Dennip, one more thing.....

If you scroll down to another post called "homemade lip balm recipe" I have submitted several toiletry recipes including mineral bath salts, sea mud body masque, fizzing bath bombs, rosehip facial treatment, milk bath, and of course lip balm! HA! Including a really great link to a site that sells soapmaking & toiletry supplies on the internet!!

I also have homemade soap recipes that I would love to share with you if you would like but they all require the lye process! Let me know if you want to even go there!!!!

Thank you!!!!!

I will check out your lip balm post...I have been on the internet ALL DAY and I have finally found a few sites with the melt and pour, including recipes. I also found the best site that is a supplier, store, recipes, message board, it has it all, every single ingredient you could ever need!! I am TOO happy! Oh. it's at www.from-nature-with-love.com/soap I don't know how to make it clickable, sorry. Thank you for your help. And please, anyone else, post away any further additions! Thank you!
