internet
i,ve done 2 baby showers in the last 2 years and went to my search enging on the internet and typed in baby shower and thats where i got all my ideas. one idea for a game is to have each person one at a time sit on the floor with a bowl of blue and pink bows in it. then blindfold the person and have them hold another bowl on top of their head. put a big serving ladel in their hand. the idea is to get as many bows in the bow on their head. this is the funniest game because bows have no weight to them and its hard to tell. the person with the most gets the prize.

I have seen a couple of games like bingo cards you make with baby things ( bottle, pacifier, etc.)
another cool game is to buy those tiny babies they put on the corsagge and put them in an ice cube tray, put ater and then freeze...
Give each person a cube , and the first baby to be " born" ( ice melted) wins a prize....
Another one is simple and cheap, buy a toilet paper roll, and have the mom to be stand up and pass the toilet paper to all the gustes and calculate how many squares her belly is... everybody goes up to where she is, and puts the toilet paper around her belly and see if they got it... the closest one wins a prize
we played that one at my baby showers and it is really funny ...
hope this helps

Baby Shower Ideas
Hello...
I have a baby shower favor idea. You can find printable Candy wrappers with Classic Pooh on them at my website. They wrap around a Hershey's Miniature size candy bar. They make really cute favors. One design has Pooh with a flower on it and says 'Time for Something Sweet'.
You can also find some free shower invitations to print out.
I hope that helps...

Help with Baby Shower
Take a string(about 2 ft.long),put about 20 wooden clothes pins(ones with springs on them),see who can get the most off with 1 hand and not drop any.Winner is the one with the most!My grandmother always loved this one,she said it was from the days of cloth diapers and she had 10 kids(whew!).
Every guest gets a ribbon when they enter, whoever sees someone cross their legs, claims their ribbon(s),close to the end of the shower, whoever has the most ribbons wins! This is harder than you think, especially when they get caught up in conversations!
Put cottonballs in a big bowl, blindfold the player, set the bowl on top of their head, with a large spoon they try to get as many as they think they can with one scoop to place in another bowl they hold in their lap! I love this one!
Place 2 bowls across the room from one another, put a cup of dried peas in one bowl, with a butter knife(or one without a sharp blade)try to walk across the room without dropping. Person with the most wins!
Not a game, but cute decoration..Take paper napkins, cut in half to make triangles, fold in shape of diaper, secure with a small safety pin,dip in melted paraffin wax,let cool. Fill with nuts or mints! Colored napkins work great for this! I love baby showers!
Best of luck with the shower! And best of luck to the couple!

I have a version of the toilet paper game that babystar0729
suggested....At baby showers i've gone to they have had a roll of string (you can also use yarn but it stretches out easier). at the start of the game the hostess would go from person to person with the mom standing in the middle of the room "modeling" for the guests. Each person gets the length they think will fit around her stomach. The closest wins. my experience has been that the older woman almost always win...it's funny to see how long and how short some people guess will fit around her. This is also fun at a couples shower.

ok here are two ideas for you....
game #1 take cotton balls and on one of them take a brown magic marker and place a dot on it, this will be the 'dirty diaper' next wrap each cotton ball inside of a square of toilet paper (diaper style) and either staple or tape the ends together. have all guests take a 'cotton wrapped diaper' as they arrive or let them pick from a box when the games start then each person unwraps thier 'diaper' from off of the cotton ball and the person who has the brown spot (dirty diaper) is the winner and gets a prize.
game #2 gather various small baby items such as safety pins, baby bottle, tube of ointment, pacifier, etc, put all items into a large shoe box, and then take it around to each guest and let them each look inside of the box for about two minutes apiece. after each person has had a look take the box away and set a timer for about 10 minutes. the person who lists the most items from the box correctly is the winner!

I had a co-ed baby shower/picnic last summer. The best game was my sister made up these necklaces with some with pink ribbon, some with baby blue ribbon and put small plastic pacifers on them as charms. As the guests arrived she placed one on everyones neck. The trick is, once you have the necklace you are not allowed to say the word "Baby", if you do say baby, who ever hears to say it gets to take your necklace. At the end of the shower the person with the most necklaces wins.
Another cool thing they did for my shower was to write on each invitation for everyone to bring a jar or two of baby food with their names wrote on the label. When everyone arrived they put their baby food in a basket and we drew a jar here and a jar there for prizes. Let me tell you, I had so much baby food I had a hard time cramming it all in my cupboard. My son is 9 1/2 months old and I have only had to buy jarred food 3 times.
Good luck with the shower and have fun!

When I had my daughter's baby shower...we gave each guest a 5"x7" index card..we had guests write down their hints for what do when a baby is fussy! Punch a hole in one corner of all cards, tie with pretty ribbon! She put it in his scrapbook! But she referred to these ideas many, many times! Some helped, some didn't, but I think she tried them all! Just something that was a little different!
