Do you upcycle?
I have started crocheting with plarn-plastic shopping bags that are cut into strips, then used like a yarn. You can see some i've done on nmy Flickr page

I saw a thread on here awhile back about this, and wanted to try it, just never had the time. Maybe now that I am on summer vacay I can try it.

Your plarn totebag actually looks pretty nice.....I'm sure it's as strong as heck too...is it?

I was wondering though, didn't that plarn messenger bag have a front pocket on it? How did you do that? I am a beginner at crochet, have only made a couple of things. But I would so love to do one of those bags. If I could do one with a couple more pockets I would almost use that for school instead of my backpack.

I made a blue one that has a pocket on it. I just crocheted a small pouch and sewed it on.
